I'm so sorry I haven't updated in so long. I've been sick for almost five weeks now. Ear infection, sinus infection, everything you could imagine. Today is the first day I can stand to do something other than sleep, so I figured I'd write. I will be finishing this story, so no worries that it will be abandoned. I have a new story idea, but I'm going to try to finish this one first. Enjoy!

Last time on Love Me Not…

Kurt found a patch of wildflowers and knelt by them, inhaling their fresh scent. He began to hum, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of nature around him. His wordless song took on a light blue hue, and he let it continue, curious about the single color leaving his throat. Suddenly two monarch butterflies began fluttering around him. He hummed a little louder, encouraging the light blue to wind around the beautiful creatures. As he did so, he held out his hand and the orange toned insects settled on his fingers, their soft wings beating against his hand. With his other hand, he took out his phone and snapped a picture, pleased when the butterflies stayed.

In complete awe, Kurt slowly made his way to the parking lot, eager to show Blaine what had happened. The song continued to come out of him, though he had no idea what it was or where he was taking it. It felt right and good.

Looking up so he didn't trip, he smiled, approaching Blaine's silver sedan. His smile melted as he took in the picture before him. Blaine was leaning back against the car a wide grin on his face. Leaning against Blaine was a tall guy, thin but well built with medium brown hair. As Kurt watched, the man took his hand and ran it down Blaine's side before settling on his hip.

Unbidden, an animalistic growl escaped him, making the butterflies scatter. The guttural sound continued, tones of angry blacks and reds coloring the noise. Possessiveness overwhelms him and as he reached the men, he gripped Blaine's arm, yanking him over and behind him.

"Who the hell are you and why are you touching my boyfriend," Kurt growled.

The man snickered. "So this is Kurt, huh? I'm Sebastian Smythe. I'm Blaine's ex. I was his first boyfriend, well, I was his first everything, if I remember right," he said mockingly.

Kurt could feel rage welling up in him, pure fury.

"Hey, killer, you didn't need to keep this one hidden from your old friends. I mean, he could get away with calling himself a girl, what with that voice and general paleness. Your parents might like him if he showed up in a dress. I bet he wears dresses, doesn't he?" Sebastian said, his gaze belittling and cruel as he talked to Blaine but glared at Kurt. "You know if you were this desperate for a man, you could have called me. I know you still have my number."

Kurt's anger and feelings of possessiveness exploded from him in a loud shriek of rage. Going on instinct, Kurt pushed the black and violet sound directly at Sebastian like it was a physical presence.

Sebastian is pushed backward by the force of the sound waves. The man started screaming as the black and violet rage filled him with hate and self-loathing.

Blaine stepped forward, staring in shock at Sebastian. He turned to look at Kurt, feeling afraid of him for the first time ever.

"Kurt," he whispered. "What the hell did you do?"

. . . . . . . . .

Sebastian was still on the ground, screeching in misery. Kurt was staring at him in shock and horror, unable to comprehend what had just happened. But he knew. He'd seen the violet waves mixed with black form into a violent ball of rage and shoot into Sebastian's body. He hadn't known it was possible and hadn't consciously intended to hurt the man. At least, not with his voice. He would have been happier punching the smirk off his meerkat face. And he wouldn't be as in trouble as he obviously was now. His anger had diminished completely, like he'd pushed all of his negative emotions into the fallen man.

Blaine was kneeling next to him, rubbing his arm and talking to him in a comforting tone. Kurt just stood there as Blaine finally got through to him and the screeching tapered off into whimpers and moans.

"You need to fix this," Blaine said to him, his face emotionless.

"I, I.. I don't know how," Kurt stammered. He didn't.

"Figure it out," Blaine snapped, glaring at him. He'd gone from no expression to anger and it shocked Kurt. He'd never seen this look on Blaine's handsome face before, much less had any harsh feelings pointed his way from this man.

Kurt was searching his brain for some kind of clue when his phone rang. Grateful for the interruption, he dug his phone out from his pocket. Seeing Moira's name, he was even more grateful.

"Moira, thank god," Kurt muttered.

"Kurt, what happened? I saw a vision of you poisoning someone and the man screaming in pain. Did something happen?" Moira's voice was worried.

"Yes, something happened and it's all my fault. I saw a man flirting with Blaine and he was trying to get me worked up and it worked. I was so mad, furious and without meaning to, I ended up throwing all the violet and black anger at him. He fell down and was screaming. I'm so sorry, Moira, I didn't mean to hurt him. Not intentionally. Please tell me you know how I can fix this, please," Kurt begged. Part of him wanted to help the man because he was responsible for what happened. Another part of him wanted to help because he knew Blaine wouldn't forgive him if he didn't.

"Kurt, this was very irresponsible of you, whether intentional or not," Moira said, her voice firm, but not angry. "When this is fixed, you will need to work on your anger. Now, what you did was transfer all of your jealousy, anger, and rage into this man. It would be very painful, cold and harsh. You need to undo this. If you had any sort of positive emotions for him, you could simply push that into him. Instead, you need to pull up light and hope and send those into him. You took that away from him so you need to return it. Stay on the phone, I'll walk you through it. I want you to close your eyes and wipe your mind clean. Tell me when you've done that," she said.

"Moira is going to help me fix this," he said quietly to Blaine, who was still comforting Sebastian on the ground.

Kurt took a deep, shuddering breath and closed his eyes. For long seconds, he tried to call up some sort of positive feelings, but he was unable to. Despite what he'd done, he still couldn't stand Sebastian and had no real desire to help. He simply wanted Blaine to stop being mad. Really seeing his own selfishness shocked him. He honestly didn't want to help this man. What did that say about him? To think that he had this kind of power and know that he was able to use it to hurt people shook him to his core. He would help Sebastian and then he would work with Moira until he had absolute control. It was either that or stay away from people all together.

"Okay, I'm ready," he told Moira.

"Now, go to the man. Sit at his feet so you can make sure you send the emotions right into his soul. Have you done so?" she asked.

He went and knelt at the feet of the fallen man. He could do this. "Yes," Kurt replied softly.

"Find a memory, a recent, strong memory filled with light, hope, positivity. Even love. Then I want you to capture the feelings and push them into him. You can do that through words or singing, not thoughts. It must be audible in order to carry the emotions properly. Continue until he has recovered, then call me back," she said.

"I will," Kurt replied, only realizing she'd hung up when his phone beeped in his ear.

Okay, light and hope. Hope and light. A good memory. He remembered just a few minutes ago, he was in the park, singing a wordless song to the butterflies. Recalling the memory, he let it fill him up. He began humming as the song came back to him. Letting it swirl inside him like butterflies fluttering, he filled the song with whites, blues, and yellows. Warm, happy, safe. Opening his mouth, he sang out the notes of the song, mentally thrusting the colors and emotions into Sebastian. He kept singing, visualizing the colors filling Sebastian up and pushing the anger and rage out. When Sebastian's body relaxed and his eyes fluttered open, Kurt could see there was nothing dark in his eyes so he stopped singing. Moving away, he watched Blaine take the man's hand.

"Sebastian? How do you feel?" Blaine asked.

"Fine, why do you ask?" Sebastian asked, looking at him strangely.

"Um, you seemed like you were in pain," Blaine said, confused.

"What? No, I'm not in pain. We were just talking and I met your boyfriend," Sebastian said. He looked up at Kurt and gave him a genuine smile. "In case I forgot to say it, it is a pleasure to meet you. Blaine seems very happy and he deserves the very best."

Kurt couldn't seem to close his mouth, he was too busy gaping at the man who was smiling at him. A real, friendly smile. No smirks or innuendos or insults. What the hell?

"I agree that he deserves the best. I hope I can live up to that," Kurt said hesitantly.

"Well, from what Blaine here has told me, you seem to be doing that just fine," Sebastian responded. "By the way, guys, why am I on the ground?"

"You, um, slipped," Blaine said, looking askance at Kurt.

Kurt shrugged. He had no idea why it seemed that Sebastian didn't remember the past few minutes. Closing his eyes again, he attempted to reach out with his colors. He'd never done this before, but there was no harm in trying since he wasn't trying to hurt the other man. He felt his power nudge Sebastian's spirit and was shocked at what he felt in return. There were no negative emotions in the man. Nothing sarcastic or insulting or inappropriate. It was like every harmful emotion had been taken from him and replaced with everything positive.

Sebastian chuckled. "Well, don't I feel like an ass," he said, smiling genuinely at Kurt.

Kurt took a chance and held his hand out to him. Sebastian took it and Kurt pulled him to his feet before turning and offering the same hand to Blaine. Kurt squeezed Blaine's hand when he was standing. He looked at Blaine hopefully. He desperately needed Blaine to be happy with him again, or at least give him a chance to make things right between them. To his delight, he felt Blaine return the squeeze and kept their hands interlocked.

"It was a pleasure to meet you, Sebastian," Kurt said, knowing it was a lie, but willing to give the man a chance. He owed him that much at least.

"Thanks. Maybe we can all get together sometime and go out for drinks or dancing," Sebastian said with another sincere smile. "I would love to introduce you both to my boyfriend, Declan."

Kurt was still in shock, but nodded with a smile. "We'd love that. Wouldn't we, Blaine?"

"Absolutely," Blaine said with a smile. "Just give me a call when you figure out your schedule."

"Will do," Sebastian replied. "I'd better get going, I was supposed to be on my way to the library, so I should get my butt over there. Studying doesn't get itself done, unfortunately. Hey, Kurt. Blaine told me you are studying fashion design. Declan just made partner at his law firm – the youngest to ever be named partner at that firm – and he needs a suit. I was thinking it would be great if we could hire you to design something for him. He likes suits but he likes them unique and it's kind of hard to find something like that. What do you think?"

Kurt gaped at him again before catching himself. "Um, yeah, that sounds fantastic. No need to hire me, I'd love to do it just for the experience. I could take pictures if Declan didn't mind and I might even get some extra credit for it," he said, unable to comprehend just how this was possible. Sebastian had gone from smirking, insulting, and hateful to complimentary, genuine, and thoughtful.

"That sounds great. Declan is going to be excited. Why don't I get your number and we can line something up?" Sebastian said with a delighted smile.

"Absolutely. Here, just type in your number and I'll text you back," Kurt said.

They exchanged numbers and soon Blaine and Kurt were waving as Sebastian drove away.

"What the hell was that?" Blaine finally said after several minutes of silence.

"Which part?" Kurt asked. It had all been a bit of a mind fuck.

"All of it. What did you do to Sebastian, we'll start there," he said.

"I saw him with his hands on you and I got jealous, then he insulted me. All of it together drove me past my point of control and I ended up pushing all my negativity into Sebastian. I didn't do it on purpose, Blaine, I swear. I know it was wrong and I intend to work with Moira so it doesn't happen again. Are you still mad?" Kurt had to know.

"No, not really. It was all kind of fucked up, but no I'm not mad. How did you fix him? What was that song you were singing?" Blaine asked as they walked to the car.

"Moira told me how to push positive emotions back into him. I kind of wiped them out with all the bad feelings. The song had started in the flowers over there. I could see the light blue and white colors as I sang to the butterflies flying around me. It just came out of me, I've never heard it before. So, I took the memory of those feelings and visualized the colors before actually sending them into Sebastian. I'm so glad it worked. Although, why he doesn't remember is beyond me. I'll have to ask Moira. Though, I have to say, he seemed nicer afterward," Kurt admitted hesitantly. He didn't want to anger Blaine again. "I'm really sorry, Blaine."

"It's okay, sweetie. I know you don't have all the answers yet and I'm proud of you for fixing the situation. And please, do go to Moira and see how she can help. We can't have everyone dropping like flies if they insult you," Blaine said with a grin.

"Haha," Kurt smirked.

"Come on, Super Singer, let's go home so I can ravish you," Blaine said with a laugh.

"I love you, Blaine."

"I love you, too, baby."
