Kiko stood alone.

She let the icy wind blow through her hair.

She had just realized what she had gotten herself into.

It was a long ways back to town, she was in the middle of nowhere.

It her hand, she clutched an item tightly.

Her father had warned her not to go out there and do this but she had to.

Even if it could kill her...

"This ends now." she muttered.

"What does?" a voice came from behind her.

"Get outta here, I'm not in a fighting mood..." Kiko said.

Her voice barely had any life to it. It was as though the inner fire in her had been extinguished.

"Oh so when I'm not in a fighting mood I tell you and you'll leave me alone?" Leo said sarcastically. "I'll make a note on that."

"What do you want?" Kiko turned to him.

Leo's eyes widened when he looked into her eyes.

They were lifeless and depressing, not the usual fiery sparkle.

"I wanna know what was with that pendant!" Leo answered.

"What are you talking about?" the Foot Ninja asked without and curiosity at all.

"After out last fight I found some sort of pendant." Leo said. "When Mikey touched it he threw up, and now I hear Splinter muttering things in the night that don't make any sense. Other strange things are happening in the lair too."

Leo pulled out a pendent with a solid black charm in the shape of a star, a single silver band wrapped around the star making a strange design. The charm hung on a silver chain that shined in the night's glow.

It had an evil presence to it.

Kiko perked up. "Gimmie that!"

"How'd I know it would involve you?" Leo smirked a little but then hesitated. "What is it?"

"Just give it to me!" Kiko growled.

She reached to snatch it but Leo hung it on the edge of his katana.

"Tell me what it is or I'll smash it into a million pieces!" he said.

"NO! DON'T!" Kiko pleaded.

Leo glared at her. "Tell me what this is!"

"It's hard to explain..." Kiko replied. "Put it down and I'll tell you..."

Leo slowly set the pendant down.

"It's my father's debt." Kiko said.

Leo gave a confused look.

"When my father practiced Necromancy, he made a deal with a demon." Kiko explained. "In exchange for...something... he would get his own army of demons."

"In exchange for...what?" Leo looked at her.

"Do I have to tell you?" Kiko looked up.

Leo raised the pendant.

"Fine..." she mumbled. "In exchange for...me..."

Leo lowered the pendant.

"The demon hid it away in a secret place and if my father could find it and make me wear it...well...I don't wanna talk about it..." she finished. "Now give it to me!"

"Uh...no." Leo answered.

"Fine." Kiko turned to walk away. "Let your master or your brothers die. That's fine with me."

"Whoa what?!" Leo ran in front of her.

"You said Splinter was mumbling things and Mikey threw up." Kiko said. "You keep that pendant that bad things will happen."

"What bad things?!" Leo demanded.

"Oh and I would seriously consider looking for a new home." the Foot Ninja said.

"Why?!" the blue masked turtle was getting frustrated.

"A, I know where your lair is, B, it's haunted." Kiko said in a strange tone.

"Haunted." Leo repeated.

"Okay! I've told you enough!" Kiko said. "Gimmie my pendant!"

"No!" Leo answered. "It might do me bad but I know it won't do any better in your hands!"

Kiko looked up in the sky. "That's a weird place to put a piano..."

Leo looked up to the place that Kiko was looking.

He saw nothing.

"Wha-?!" he spotted Kiko running with the pendant. "HEY!"

"You want trouble?! Fine!" Kiko shouted as she ran. "You've got it!"

She dropped something and didn't bother to retrieve it.

Leo only stopped to pick it up.

It started to rain. Hard.

He looked at the object.

It was a shuriken of some sort. But it had a gold chain attached to it making it a necklace.

It felt evil.

And coming from Kiko it probably was...

Maybe Splinter would know what it was.

The blue masked turtle set out for home.

Back at the Foot Clan lair.

Kiko rushed into her room and found the safe where she had all her prized possessions.

She unlocked the safe, put the pendant inside, and shut it tight.

"Kiko?" a voice came from behind her. "What are you doing?"

"Uhh...hi...dad..." she said.

"What did you put in there?" Shredder asked.

"Er...uh...my new necklace." Kiko lied. "I wanted to keep it safe."

Shredder gave her a look of doubt but said. "Fine..."

Kiko breathed a sigh of relief as her father left the room.

Now that the pendant was hidden where her father would never expect to find it, she left home, after changing into normal clothes, for a walk.

Why she would do this when it was pouring down raining would be a mystery.

Lightning flashed in the sky, low rumbles of thunder filled the air.

Her dark black hoodie provided little protection from the rain.

Her jeans and sneakers were also soaked.

She thought she saw a shadow fly by.

The Foot Ninja started staggering and before she knew it, had collapsed to the ground.

She felt herself getting weaker and weaker before loosing consciousness...

Leo sat up in his bed breathing heavily.

Something was not right.

The blue masked turtle looked to his nightstand and noticed that the shuriken-necklace was missing.

"No...no..." he heard a faint voice.

The voice chilled him to the bone.

"Sensei!" Leo whispered.

He quickly followed the sound of the voice until he came to the dojo...but he didn't enter...

Splinter stood in the center of the dojo.

"No!" his father yelled an nothing.

Leo was tried to walk in and say something but his legs wouldn't move and his mouth remained shut.

He watched as Splinter struggled to hold his ground.

Only when he saw a swirling shadow circling his sensei, he knew it was serious and not a dream.

"No! Get out of me!" Splinter yelled in hopelessness.

Suddenly he stopped struggling, the shuriken-necklace laid around his neck.

A rather sinister smile appeared on his face.

His eyes were solid back, not their usual brown.

That's not sensei! Leo said to himself.

"Of course not." Splinter looked at his son.

Leo backed away, for the first time in his life, he was afraid of his father.

"His mind belongs to me now." came a voice that wasn't Splinter's.

His father was possessed!

"N- no!" Leo kept backing away.

His blood ran cold as Kiko's words rang in his ears.

"You want trouble?! You've got it!"

'Splinter' took his staff and wacked Leo on the back of his head causing him to pass out...
