A/N: Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving or Happy Hanukkah! :)
Another RAW ended, which pissed off Roxanne. The storylines that she worked her ass off to create, were not being used and she wondered, how much longer she could bare watching RAW and Smackdown. On the bright side, they were giving attention to the tag team division, but that didn't get rid of any anger that she was in right now. She still was not able to get a hold of The Authority or any of the creative writers and there was no way that she would trust a WWE Superstar or Diva with confidential storylines. Those storylines were only for the rest of the creative writers, The Authority and her. Lately, Roxy found herself sitting on her ass. Her shoulder injury was recovering, but the twelve weeks were not up yet and won't be anytime soon. She was in week seven - she lost count after the first month of her recovery. Her iPhone rang, and side the phone to answer her call.
"This is Roxanne, how may I help you?" she put on a fake happy face, she would normally not put on an act on for anyone, but she was too lazy to put the effort of being a nice person. Roxanne sat herself up, the conversation that she was having got a little more amusing for her. "I could sue?" she repeated the statement that her lawyer. "For how much?" she grabbed her strawberry and banana smoothie from the coffee table and began to sip on it through a straw. After hearing the amount of money, she spit out her drink. "I could own the WWE?" she screamed in shock. She never imagined herself owning the WWE. WWE Chairwoman, Roxanne Collins. She could get used to that name. "I'll think about it," she responded in a calm manner. "Good night." she smiled, hanging up the phone.
"I think that you should do it."
Roxy looked up to her mother, Rebecca Collins. A woman with a bright as red hair as Roxy had. She had green eyes and was shorter than her daughter. Rebecca had always wanted the best for her daughter. She believed that Roxy should sue the WWE for causing the her daughter's shoulder injury, for forcing her on the hiking trip, for blackmailing her job, if she didn't go. Rebecca was in Miami to take care of Roxy, until Jon or Brie was able to come for her, which won't be until Wednesday or Thursday. But, due to their busy schedules, they haven't been able to care for her as much as she needed to.
"The idea sounds good, but it could be a heated lawsuit. I could lose my job, my career. I could get blackballed all over wrestling promotions. No one would want to hire me. I could get this reputation of horrible work ethic. I could be the most hated creative writer in professional wrestling history!" this was only a number of potential outcomes that could be for the redhead.
"You won't know what happens, until you try. Roxanne, you are a smart girl. You have always chased for things that you wanted. You wanted to be head writer for the WWE? You got the job. You have struggled and strived. You should be proud of yourself, I'm proud of yourself and if your dad was here today, he would be proud of you." Rebecca encouraged her daughter, only to get her to cry.
Roxanne lost her father at age five after a drunk driver hit her father's car. Her mother cried about it, but Roxy handled her grief in other ways. Roxy lived in denial, it was so horrible that she had to see counseling for that. When she made it to her teens, she became anti-social and started to cut herself, slitting her wrists. One time, she had slit her wrist deep and had to seek treatment for that. She was fifteen and when she was recovering in the hospital, she found a love for writing; it was also where she gained her love for professional wrestling - she brushed up on the history of the WWE and other wrestling promotions. At age twenty-four, she was happy to get the job that she could possible lose, if she were to go along with this lawsuit.
"I've dedicated my life for making my father proud. I don't like to bring up daddy because of bring all those horrible memories back to my head. Daddy would want me to go after what I want," tears fell on her cheeks as she used her fingers to wipe them off her face. "I haven't talked about daddy in about nineteen years. He would answer all of my questions and help me with my dumb little problems. I was very fortunate to have him." she formed a smile on her face - it was a real smile, it was heartwarming and it was compassionate.
"He's the reason why you're Roxanne Collins. You had a lot of moxie in you. When I was pregnant with you, you would keep kicking and kicking. He thought about naming you Moxie, but I thought Roxanne would be better." Rebecca hugged her daughter, who smiled at her mother.
"I think I know what I am going to do about the WWE."
Brie knocked on the door to the WWE Superstars locker room. The door opened and Bryan stepped out, giving his fiancée a hug. Brie had come back from losing a match against April. To be honest, she had been losing a lot of matches to April. There also have been rumors that Nikki Bella could be crowned champion by the end of the year. When Brie settled in the locker room, she decided to get a few things out of her chest.
"Randy attacked you, but I don't understand who this bitch could be." Brie confessed, what she had been dying to say these past few days. She had been thinking of who this 'bitch' could be? Most of the Divas in the locker room were really nice. She thought it could have been April because Brie claimed that she was jealous of the success of Total Divas. But other than that, it was unclear to whom Bryan was talking about.
"It sounded a lot like Eva Marie." Bryan admitted, which Brie was shocked about.
"Eva? But, I'm one of her good friends. She doesn't seem like she would want Roxanne out." there was something on Brie's mind that couldn't believe that Eva would do such a horrible thing. Then, Brie really thought - maybe Eva did want Roxanne out of the picture. Roxy embarrassed Eva on live TV. Plus, Eva wasn't happy that there was another redhead in the WWE. She wanted to be the only redhead in the WWE. Eva could have seen Roxy as competition in her own way.
"But, The Authority could have done something as well. It seems like a group of people could be out to target those that are really close to Roxy. Jon, you, me?" Bryan continued to think about things, trying to put all the pieces of the puzzle together.
"Are you saying that it's a team? Hunter, Stephanie, Tom, Randy, Eva? Now that you have said things, I think that there could be a connection." Brie pondered.
"They want Roxy out for some sort of reason. What is that reason?" Bryan was once again confused.
"That's because Vince McMahon got the last word of hiring Roxy. Not Hunter and not Stephanie. The Authority was into giving Tom a promotion as head writer, but then Roxy came into the picture. Which could be Tom's Cassielo's motive for joining The Authority. He wants to be the main writer, not some assistant for the head writer. He wants to give the orders and not take them."
Phil Brooks joined in on the conversation with a towel on his neck. He had came from his match and couldn't help, but over hear the engaged couple about their suspicions on The Authority and Bryan's attackers. Phil was fascinated by all this talk - he wanted to join in. He liked disobeying The Authority. He wanted to get his hands dirty. This could be what he wanted.
Brie nodded, impressed with what Phil had to say. "That's a good theory. Please join." she gestured a seat, next to Bryan.
"The Viper and The Bitch - Randy wanted Roxy, but Jon got the girl that he wanted. Eva wanted Roxy out of the WWE because she thought that Roxy could be some competition. Aren't all the Total Divas afraid of competition, that's what my buddy April has been telling me. She's angry about Nikki Bella getting a push. She can't stand The Bellas. Put these Eva and Randy together and you get yourself a little alliance." Phil took a seat, the back part of the seat was against his stomach as he sat backwards.
"So, it's not April?" Brie wanted to make sure one last time.
"Nope, she wants to keep her job." Phil laughed.
"Jon wanted me to join his rebellion. I'm not sure what to say. I don't want to lose my opportunities in the WWE." Brie was so conflicted that she didn't know whether to take that large step and join Jon on stopping The Authority.
"I'd say join and if it makes you feel better, Bryan and I will join Jon." Phil patted Bryan on the back with a grin on his face. Bryan looked back at Bryan with a glare at Phil.
"I never agreed on joining Jon's rebellion." Bryan reminded him, having no intentions of joining Jon's rebellion.
"Well, I'm joining." Brie stood up with a smile on her face. "Who's with me?" she asked, looking at both men that were sitting down.
"I'll join," Phil volunteered, standing up, raising his hand, making the Bella Twin smile. "Come on, Danielson." he nudged him.
Bryan sighed. "Fine, I'll join." he smiled, standing up, agreeing to join Jon's rebellion.
"Now, let's go find Jon." Brie announced.
Haven't heard from Roxy in two chapter. So, I added her this chapter and Jon will be in the next chapter. It seems like Jon has his little group of fighters. And, if Roxy considering suing the WWE?
