"What?" Jon looked at one half of The Authority with confusion. Why in the hell would he encourage Roxanne to sue the WWE? The discussion of suing the WWE had never came up in any of the conversations, and the thought of it made him believe that this lawsuit could ruin this rebellion that he has planned out for RAW next week. Or, it could make things better, The Authority wouldn't see it coming. Stephanie looked at Jon; he stared at the vain at the side of her forehead as she took a step closer, alarming Jon. He didn't know what he had to say to make one of the Principal owners of the WWE feel better. He felt like he had to remain loyal to Roxy, but one the other hand, he had to remain fake loyal to The Authority and his Shield brethren. You could say that Jon was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"I said did you do anything to encourage Roxanne Collins to sue the WWE?" Stephanie asked again, more angry this time.
"Of course not, it was never brought up." Jon responded. Something in Stephanie's mind, didn't want to trust him. Jon was Roxanne's boyfriend, what if he was her puppet? What if Jon was lying to her right now? There will be severe consequences, there's no doubt about it. Stephanie smiled, she felt like she should gave the same rewards that Colby and Joe have been fortunate of getting to Jon. Perhaps, that would make him change sides and make him see that he should be on The Authority's side.
"Jon, you're a talented Superstar. Just like your team mates, I see a bright future ahead of you. I see you grabbing WWE Championships after WWE Championships. A secret between you and I is that you only get treatment like that is if you kiss up to the right people. I promised Joe a push to the top of the WWE, when The Shield angle disbands. I promised Colby a WWE title match with his name on it. That is the reason why they are doing these crazy things, Jon. Power makes men do crazy things." Stephanie organized her papers, making Jon think about the last thing that she said 'power makes men do crazy things'. It somewhat makes sense; the way that Colby and Joe have been acting, after they punish the Superstars and Divas that have disobeyed The Authority. They were promised something in return.
Jon felt hurt that Stephanie and Paul never gave anything to him in return. They assumed that he would still have that good worth ethic that he has in the ring. He feels horrible for those victims that he hurt. He honestly hates himself right now. He used his god given wrestling abilities for evil - something that he never wanted to do.
"You have been bribing Colby and Joe?" Jon summarized what Stephanie had explained to him. "I can't believe that you turned them into such disgusting human beings. You have brainwashed them into believing that these disgusting deeds, will get them glory and success. Odds are, this could bring a nice bed in prison." he spat at her.
Stephanie turned around, looking at Jon in such shock. "I have my own way of operating. Mr. Good, you need to know is that I am doing what is best for business. I am doing this to bring my family justice and honor." she defended herself.
"You're disgracing your family, Stephanie. Ever since Roxanne got hurt, you have been a different person. You, Hunter, Tom - all of you have become evil people and I don't know, if I can do this anymore." Jon shook his head, and began to walk out the door.
"Listen to me, Jon. I am willing to offer you a bigger raise than Colby and Joe, if you continue this. If not, I'm willing to call up Roxanne and inform her with who you have been seen with recently. Does the name Eva Marie sound familiar?" Stephanie spoke up, making Jon stay put and slowly turn around and looked at Stephanie.
"You wouldn't." Jon glared at her.
Stephanie smirked. "This is what I want you to do."
"Who am I this lonely peasant to question the great King of Kings right? I know, but now I find myself here in denial. Hoping that it's coincidence. It has to be a coincidence, because if not I know what's behind that door and I don't want anything to do with anyone in The Authority. I like living in my own universe. And, surely Triple H isn't that dense to kick a living hornet's nest. I mean, the King of Kings isn't that dense to pick a fight with somebody who knows prides himself on being one of the biggest anti-authority figures in WWE History." CM Punk talked through the mic on the RAW the week after the meeting that he had with Jon, Bryan and Brie. He was requested to throw some pipe bomb or something that would anger The Authority, and being an anti-authority kind of man, he did find some joy of cutting that unscripted promo.
Suddenly, Stephanie McMahon's music played throughout the arena as she stood on the ramp. " First of all Punk, I hope that you and everyone in here had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday." she began, but was interjected by Punk.
"You don't care about my Thanksgiving -"
"No, I do. I hope that you had a good one. I know that we did. You know, speaking of my family. Punk, you know that there couldn't be bigger advocates of free speech than my family. My husband was a founding father of D-Generation X. And for you to think, that we would have The Shield attack you because you called my husband a bad name. I mean, what are we in kindergarten? Punk, it's just - it's beneath us. You know, my husband and I we've grown, we've matured. But, I just have to stop projecting our values into you. You know because clearly you haven't. It's- I can understand that you not wanting to antagonize The Shield out here right now, but it's just much easier for you to point the finger at us, but Punk, you should know, we were just as upset as you were when The Shield attacked you last week." Stephanie explained, as Punk talked back like she was some sort of liar.
"Oh Stephanie! I'm right here! Pay attention to me, boss lady!"
Stephanie searched the arena, but find someone near the timekeeper. It was someone that she never expected to be here. She saw a newly transformed Roxanne Collins - her bright red hair had become a dark black. Roxanne was sitting next to a steel chair next to the time keeper. She wore a tight white shirt and faded blue skinny jeans with black pumps. Roxy taunted Stephanie with her pearly white smile and wave. Her left shoulder was bandaged underneath her shirt. Stephanie looked shocked to see Roxy standing there, Punk was caught off guard with the arrive of the black haired maiden.
"Who is that?" Jerry Lawler had no clue how to respond to Roxanne's occupation. Creative writer, would take the allusion out of the wrestling world. The creative team was conjuring up with names to call her and having it be said in the earphones of each commentator.
"That's WWE's creative director, Roxanne Collins! She's responsible for coming up with ideas for the RAW and Smackdown sets! What is she doing here?" Michael Cole asked, demanding for answers.
"Ms. Collins, this is none of your business, what are you doing here?" Stephanie asked, like everything was fine between the two of them. Roxanne walked up the steel steps and Punk assisted her into the ring.
"Miss McMahon, I think that you have been informed about your lawsuit in the WWE. I'm suing for everything you got, your father's got! Hell, I might sue for everything your children has!" Roxy snapped.
"I am aware of the lawsuit, but this needs to be discussed in a private matter. This can't be discussed out here. It's none of the WWE Universe's or Punk's business." Stephanie said, trying to calm her down, but there was no use calming Roxy down.
"Well, I would have done this over the phone, but I could never get ahold of you, Stephanie. Are you trying to avoid me?" Roxy had caught Stephanie in the act. Roxy had a smirk on her face that read that she knew what Stephanie was trying to do.
'I've been busy with meetings. I'm a working woman. Something that you haven't been these last few months." Stephanie slammed at her.
"Well, I'm still recovering from the injury that you caused to me. I can sue you for blackmail, injury, the whole nine yards, Stephanie." Roxanne smirked.
"Can't sue me, when you're lying in a hospital bed." Stephanie said, which left Roxanne wondering. What did Stephanie mean when she said that? Roxanne turned to Punk, who shrugged his shoulders.
