Ok I'm so sorry! School had just ended then it just started and summer was soo packed I just couldn't find time to write and now school has started and AHHHH! So this chapter is a flash back into past. Just something I kind of wanted to write. The real chapter will be up soon. Thanks!

Callie woke up the smell of pancakes drifted to her pink room. She sat up and padded downstairs. In the kitchen Vanessa was at the counter eating a stack of blueberry pancakes. Kyle was flipping some more at the griddle.

"Daddy!" Callie shrieked running over to her dad. He picked her up and swung her around.

"Munchkin!" he said tickling her belly, "I missed you!"

"I missed you too Daddy! Where did you go?"

"Just around, baby. But today I'm going to spend the whole day with you and mama!"

Vanessa smiled. "What, no hug for mama?"

Callie jumped out of her daddy's arms and she ran to her mom. Crawling into her mom's lap, she looked up at her.

"What are we gonna do?" Callie asked cutely.

Kyle came around and put a plate of pancakes at part of the counter. He lifted her from her mom's arms and put her on a bar-stool.

"First, my sweet girl, you have to eat breakfast," he said also putting a glass of milk in front of her.

"I need them cut."

"Please?"

"Pwease."

"Ok, Munchie," he said cutting the pancakes.

While she chewed, Kyle put his arm around Vanessa's waist.

"So Cal," Kyle said, "Mama and I thought that we would take you to the lake and teach you how to swim then have a picnic."

"Yeah!" Callie climbed down from her stool, "I'm no hungry anymore. Mama can you help get my bathing-suit on?"

"Sure Callie-Bell," Vanessa smiled at Callie. She grabbed Callie's sticky hand and they walked upstairs. They went to the bathroom first and Vanessa made Callie sit on the toilet and use it.

"I'm done Mama," Callie said swinging her legs, which didn't reach the ground.

Vanessa helped Callie then helped her wash her hands. They went back to Callie's room and grabbed Callie's teal one-piece swim-suit with Ariel on it. Then she put a pair of shorts over it and a purple sweatshirt that said "Race For Heart".

"Alright Callie-Bell, Mama's going to get her swim suit on then you can help Daddy and I pack a picnic."

"Yay!" Callie said happily. She clapped her hands and jumped around her room. Vanessa smiled and left Callie to her three year-old ways.

Callie sat down on her bed and smiled. She bounced a little. Then she bounced twice. Then three times. Then four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nin-

"Callie-Bell, come lets make lunch," Daddy said standing in the doorway.

She bolted out after her dad. Downstairs Vanessa was taking out bread, peanut butter, and jelly.

"Come help me make the sandwiches," Vanessa told her daughter.

Callie took the plastic butter knife and spread the PB&J on pieces of white-wheat. Vanessa cut them and she cut Callie's in the shape of a smiley face. Callie giggled. Kyle wrapped up the sandwiches in plastic wrap. Vanessa put oranges and bananas and water bottles in a big wicker basket and the sandwiches too.

"Lake!" Callie shrieked, grabbing Kyles arms. The family got in the car and drove the lake. It wasn't crowded today so the family jumped out and Callie bolted to the shore.

"Slow down Callie-Bell, let Mama put sunscreen on you," Vanessa says following her little girl. Callie pouted but let Vanessa take of her shorts and sweatshirts and slather her with sunscreen. Her parents stripped down to their swim suits and they walked into they warm lake.

"Ok, Munchie, swim to daddy," Kyle said to his daughter. Callie tried to doggy paddle to him ended up slipping under the water. Vanessa grabbed her and lifted her up. Her dad walked over and the two taught her how to float, then she progressed into swimming. She squealed when she finally made it to her dad.

"I hungry. Can I have lunch now, pwease?" Callie aksed. Her parents nodded and smiled at her and Kyle picked her up and carried her to shore. The family ate and laughed for about 30 minutes until it started to rain. Vanessa wrapped Callie up in a towel, while Kyle packed up all the stuff, and then they ran to the car.

When the got home, Vanessa gave Callie a bath and then the family watched Disney movies until dinner, and they ordered a pizza and ate on the couch and had lots of ice cream for dessert.

After dinner, when they couple was putting their daughter to bed, Vanessa smiled at her husband and said, "Callie, we have some very exciting news for you?"

"What is it?"

Kyle grinned. "Your mom is going to have a baby!"

Callie's eyes widened. "Where is the baby?"

Vanessa put her hands on her stomach. "It's in mommy's tummy."

"How did it get there?"

Vanessa and Kyle looked at each other than Callie.

"Well," Kyle started, "it, um-you know what? You'll know when you're older."

"Am I getting a baby sister or brother?" Callie said, siting up.

"We don't know yet. Mommy's gonna' go to the doctor to find out."

"How does the doctor know? Can he see through your tummy?"

"Mommy and I will explain it in the morning. But you Callie-belle will have to go to sleep." He kissed her forehead, then her mom kissed her, then the left the room.

Callie snuggled under her sheets. She would remember this day forever.
