Sorry for the late update guys, I had a lot of things happening in my life. I had a long period of writer's block, followed by exams. Then I had no access whatsoever to my computer. But here it is. The next chapter in the life of our hero. :D

Time skip – 1 year later, Olympus

The 14 Gods and Goddesses of Olympus had assembled (remember Hestia and Hades were added). They had decided that the heroes who took part in the war had to be rewarded. Thus, they had called all demigods, Greeks and Romans, to the summer solstice meeting.

"Heroes, you are gathered here today to receive your just rewards for your actions in the war", Zeus said, power rolling out of him, "We have decided to gift you with immortality, you shall be known as the Immortals!"

"Is something the matter, Will?" Apollo asked his son and cabin counsellor.

"Yeah, I do. Why is the cabin counsellor for Poseidon here? And where is Percy?" Will asked.

Looking uncomfortable, Apollo replied, "Well Jack is here because Athena decided that he had done enough quests and succeeded to be made immortal, and Poseidon claimed it would be unfair on Jack and Annabeth for only one of them to be immortal. As for Percy…" Apollo trailed off.

Rounding on Apollo, every counsellor and roman, apart from Jack and Annabeth, growled, "What happened to Percy?"

"Poseidon in his vast intelligence decided to disown Percy, claiming that he was no longer a son of Poseidon because he left Jack to fend for himself against the Minotaur" Hermes spat out from next to Apollo, "as he is no longer a son of Poseidon, he is no longer considered to be a demigod by Olympus", he continued, his voice growing softer, until it was almost too quiet to hear.

"In that case, I would like to kindly refuse your offer of immortality. You chose a brat over the Hero, one that saved the very thrones you are sitting on." Nico said stepping forward, his anger palpable in his words.

"You seem to have forgotten exactly who Percy is, let me remind you," Octavian joining Nico, growled "He was called Perseus Jackson, Defeater of Gaea, Vanquisher of Polybotes, Bane of Kronos, Subjugator of Hyperion, Feared by the Titans and Giants alike, Bearer of the Curse of Achilles," he stops, "but most of all, he was the Champion of Vesta and Praetor of the Twelfth Legion Fulminata!" He roared.

"Bah, so what? Jack is much better than that loser, son on none." Was Annabeth's mockingly reply.

On hearing this, Octavian had to be restrained. The romans closed ranks around him march out of the Throne Room, closely followed by most of the Cabin leaders. When they had left, the only demigods left in the Throne Room, where the cabin Leaders for Poseidon and Athena, their close friends and some of the newer campers. Seeing this, and angered by the seeming disloyalty of the demigods, Annabeth turns to the assembled Gods and Goddesses and questions them.

"Why aren't you punishing them? Curse them, they are disloyal to Olympus; show them what it means to stand against the might of Olympus! She screeches at them. "Lord Poseidon, are you really going to let them go, especially after they humiliated your favourite son?"

"ENOUGH!" A voice cut across the Throne Room. The assembled immortals and mortals looked around, trying to find the source of the voice, and what they saw terrified them.

A person garbed in flames. Flames so hot, they burned the floor of the Throne Room.

"THAT IS ENOUGH! How dare you try and get the true heroes punished and cursed? How dare you attempt to get them punished for defending the true saviour of Olympus? How dare you call my Champion a LOSER?!" The voice snarled.

The flames started to die out. When they saw the person responsible, they were dumbstruck.

For the person robed in flames hot enough to burn the floor of Olympus was none other than Hestia. Kind, humble, wise and, most importantly of all, the calmest of the Gods and Goddesses. And she looked murderous.
