A/N: well... *rubs head sheepishly* this is a very short one-shot. The strangest thing is, it was written when I was thirteen. My English wasn't totally bad back then.
I am nineteen now, and looking back on this I can't help feeling a bit ashamed. However, this is part of who I am, and it would do me no good to just ignore it. If I want to grow as a person, I need to accept myself, even my mistakes, because they are part of me. That's what I think. So, here is the one-shot.

Once Upon A Time
...
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a beautiful young princess, with long pink hair and large green eyes.
She was kind-hearted and pure, and she wanted nothing more than peace and happiness for everyone in her reign.
Unfortunately, there were evil people who didn't agree. They were envious of the princess's beauty and of her popularity, and decided to rob her of it.
They didn't understand how she had gained it, they only wanted her to disappear and be forgotten.
So they acted. One night, a brown boar was sent to the castle and killed everyone that was inside. The young princess was inside the castle as well, and she was caught in the middle of the attack.
The beautiful princess died along with everyone else that was in the castle.
Or at least, that was what everyone thought. And for long years, those evil people who had tried to kill her thought they had succeeded. And for the lands of which she was princess, a dark period began.
But the princess wasn't dead. A young knight, dark-haired and dark-eyed, who had been a guest at her castle a few days before the massacre, had heard rumours about what was going to happen. Worried for the safety of the good princess, who had been nice to him and who was loved by everyone, he had quietly returned to her castle that same night. And he had arrived just in time.
He had managed to make her escape. Even if he had wanted to, he had not been able to save anyone else from the massacre, and with his heart full of sorrow he had hidden the princess and taken her far, far away.
The beautiful princess had been in shock after what had happened. Many people she had loved were dead. She was grateful to the knight for saving her, but sometimes the grief was intense. And she felt responsible for the death of the other people at her castle.
She remained with the knight a long time, learning and growing together with him. They secretly developed feelings for each other, but didn't dare speak about them. There was a kingdom to save, after all.
When they were ready, they went back. The evil people didn't expect the princess to be alive, nor did they expect her to be together with a strong knight who would to anything to help her.
The evil people set many traps against them, even made use of magic to stop them. But it was in vain. The love that united the couple was too strong to be stopped.
In the end, all evil was chased from the lands, and the princess could receive her rightful place again. People were free once more, and they were happy, because they had peace and the kind princess back with them.
The princess, after a while, gathered the courage to ask the knight if he would share with her the burden of royalty by her side. The knight, aware of the high honour she was giving him, professed his love for her and explained he couldn't accept unless she became his wife first.
The beautiful wedding took place, and the land of the cherry blossom princess and the weasel knight never suffered again, and lived happily ever after.
