First Kiss
When they arrived, Deirdre was surprised to find herself in a church. She for one never enjoyed churches, and would never step into one because of all the things she would feel when stepping into the area of a church. Here though, oddly, was very calm. She looked around and saw Nightcrawler, who had stepped away from her on arrival, and was now standing in front of an alter. His hands were clasped together and his head was lowered in prayer. Deirdre took a step toward him, and he spoke.
"I vould come here," he began. "To ask forgiveness for all my sins…"
"Sins?" She asked quietly tilting her head in response.
Kurt broke from his prayer and turned to face her, his eyes were filled with sadness. "Ja," he continued. "I also came here to escape, I always felt safe here…"
Deirdre sighed as she walked closer to him, "The world has not been kind to you has it?" She asked gently walking close enough to grab his hands in hers. She held them tight, and listened as he spoke.
"Look at me Deirdre," he begun, she didn't. "I've been called a demon, monster, freak…" He sighed, "I am none of these, our lord has given me a gift, given us a gift. He does not look down upon his children, but accepts them for who they are, for he has created us in his view."
Deirdre flinched slightly to his talk of his god, but she did not comment. She instead kept her gaze on his three digit hands wrapped within hers, and smiled down at their blueness. Hands that were so gentle when they touched her, so careful when they came to rest upon her cheeks. Hands that were afraid of rejection, afraid and uncertain. Deirdre smiled and begun to gently rub her thumb against one of his fingers. His hands were so warm.
"I vas always safe here, this vas my home, and I vanted to protect it." He continued talking.
She knew his gaze was on her, but she kept her eyes glued to his hands.
"I vanted to become a priest so I could stay close to this home," he said shyly.
Here she looked up at him, "I'm glad you didn't." She said, almost instantly regretting she did.
He looked at her in a shock manner. He did not know her belief, or idea on religion, and quite frankly she despised the religions of the church, but she did not express this to him. She simply smiled, "I mean…I'm happy your path took a different route." She laughed and held his hands tighter, "If you became a priest, I don't think we could have been together." She sighed, "you're job and love would have been all for him." She said hiding the bite of loathing for the God that would have taken Kurt from her.
Kurt smiled down at her, "In that view, I am also glad I took a different path." He took her in his arms and held her, "I'm happy you are here," he said before pulling away from her and turning to face the alter.
Deirdre had to admit, despite not liking churches, that the inside of this building was quite beautiful. She did not like churches and what they stood for, but she did enjoy the art and the beauty of their structures.
"This place is beautiful Kurt," She told him, gaze glued to the ceiling.
He turned to face her, "But you are more beautiful then this building." He said causing a blush to rise on her cheeks. He took a step toward her, smiling as he pulled her once again into his arms.
She met his gaze, and her blush deepened. "You mean it?" She asked.
He chuckled, "of curse I do."
And here they fell silent, their gazes locked within each other, eyes intent on devouring one another. Feelings crept and ate at Deirdre's heart. She could feel joy, love, desire, passion, happiness, sadness, and fear. She felt everything he was feeling, and now all she wanted to do was… She slowly reached a hand to touch his cheek. His arms around her loosened only a little but she kept her body pushed up against his. She reached up, lifting her head to come but an inch away from his. She witnessed Kurt blush from the closeness of them, saw the slow creeping shock that would occur if she acted on her desire. She felt the hidden flinch beneath his muscles as she ran her hand along his arm. She smiled warmly as her lips crept closer to his. He went to speak, but she pressed her lips against his silencing him and keeping him from speaking. Their lips touched and Deirdre was overflowed with warm feelings, feelings that set her heart a flutter and her lips pressing more against his own. She pulled away slowly, eyes opening to gaze upon a shocked blue teleporter.
He gazed at her in shock, "Deirdre…" he moaned softly pulling her back into his arms and pressing a firm kiss against her lips.
It was her turn to be shocked, but soon she found herself falling into his embrace and the warmth of his touch. He parted her lips with his tongue, taking her shock as a chance to adventure. She allowed of course, and soon begun her own exploring while pushing herself closer to him. They spent a few moment locked together, only pulling apart for air and to laugh. The two stood still in one another's arms, staring up at each other with joy. The two laughed. Deirdre giggled while she rested her forhead against his chest and Kurt chuckled lightly nuzzling her hair and inhaling her scent.
"Are fist official kiss," Deirdre said suddenly turning her head so her cheek rested against him.
"It Vasn't strange vas it?" He asked nervously.
Deirdre laughed, "Oh god no." She began looking up at him and placing a gentle kiss on his lips, "it was perfect." She lowered her head and rested it on his shoulder. "Kurt…"
"Hmm?" he replied.
She stayed silent for a moment, "I'm tired…" she finally spoke, feeling Kurt's smile when he held her tight within his arms.
"Then ve shall go home," he said with a small laugh.
Deirdre smiled, "I would like that…" She yawned, "cause…" She rubbed her face into his shoulder, "I may fall asleep on you…and that would be rude."
Kurt chuckled, "That vould not be rude, liebe." He said pulling her gently from him and placing a sweet kiss on her forehead.
She glanced up at him, smiled, and offered a soft kiss before returning her head to his chest. She sighed and closed her eyes. "If only we hadn't trained today…" she began yawning, "then I wouldn't be…so bloody tired, and we could stay up all night just being..." She yawned again cutting herself off. She then sighed and buried herself deeper into Kurt's clothing.
Kurt smiled and held her close to him, "Let's go home…" he said. He felt her nod, and he smiled before teleporting from the church and returning to the mansion.
