Hi again. This is going to be a rather long author's note so feel free to skip to the story if you'd like.

Otherwise, I'd like to say this is coming to an end.

I'd like to thank everyone who has reviewed! You've really kept me going :*)

I want to apologize for the long breaks I've taken in between chapters, and thank those who have stuck with my sporadic updates. And in all honesty if you followed this story to this final chapter, give yourself a hug for me.

I will be starting another story a bit after I wrap up some others that will be titled I Am Innocent (with cover work done by sizzlelizzle from Tumblr). Be on the look out for that in a few months :*)

Wow, really can't believe this is a goodbye for this story, but as always,

ENJOY!

Pope sauntered up to the pretty little secretary, "I've been summoned by the Chief."

The secretary looked up at him with a brilliant smile,"I'll announce you." Pope nodded and followed her lead. His gaze shifted from the bond curls to the sway of her fragile hips and back up. He listened as she announced his presence, then watched as she stepped aside for him to enter the Chief of Police's office.

The two men nodded to each other politely. The Chief of Police waved off his secretary and motioned for Pope to sit.

"I've got some bad news," the Chief of Police started. "And then some good."

Pope shifted nervously in the plush leather seat and gazed out the window, "Start with the good."

The Chief of Police nodded and leaned over his wooden desk with his hand clasped tightly over a manilla folder. "You'll keep your rank."

"That's it?"

"That's good considering the bad news I have."

Pope snapped his attention back to the Chief of Police.

"The division you've been overseeing has been shut down."

"What?!" Pope shouted, raising from his seat.

"The members are being dispersed as in this folder," the Chief of Police said handing over the manilla folder. "I see no point in this division continuing. There has been a lot of time, effort, and money invested but we have seen little promising results. The last thing Los Angeles needs is their police station under investigation because of one division's mistakes."

"Sir," Pope started, "Just tell me what you'd like to see and we'll make it happen. If you want better results just say so and I will find the strong spot of each and every individual just to give you results-"

"That's been done here in this folder," the Chief of Police said pressing the folder into Pope's hands. "I can't talk more on this subject. Read over the folder. There will be a crew starting the demolition of the room tonight. Every member's items will be set up in their new locations and they will start there immediately after you announce the cut."

Pope stared blankly at the Chief of Police not knowing exactly what to say.

Sharon couldn't open her fridge without the feeling of bile rising up her throat. She skipped breakfast and just dressed and prepared for the day. Something was off and she had her suspicions as to what it was,but wasn't certain. She parked her vehicle in her assigned spot and locked the car as she clicked he heels against the concrete to the elevator.

"Hold the door!"

Sharon held the door. Provenza stepped in.

"So, how'd the conference go?" Provenza asked with a suggestive grin. Sharon rolled her eyes and hoped her blush wasn't to prominent.

"I learned a lot. Not sure if Andy really comprehended anything," Sharon said as an attempt to joke. She readjusted the strip of her purse on her shoulder and clung tighter to the bag. She could feel the outline of the two pregnancy test box through the leather. The elevator chimed to their floor and both stepped out. Provenza made his way to the murder room as Sharon made her way to the bathroom.

She locked herself in the stall and followed the instructions that came with the test. She watched her watch's second hand as she waited for it to strike two minutes. When it did, she quickly unwrapped the toilet paper around the two tests.

Two green positive signs greeted her.

A hand flew to her mouth as she let our a little sob of happiness. She was elated! A child of her own! What more could she ever want?

Then, reality hit. She was going to be a single mother of Andrew Flynn's child.

Provenza looked around the empty murder room and ran a hand through his dark brown hair.

Andy, Tao, and Brenda stood in the middle of the white washed room with thick yellow papers in their hands. Pope watched the group with a hint of sadness on his usually passive face. Pope handed a yellow paper to him. He scanned the paper, reading only what was bolded:

No point in the continuance of division.

Members will be transferred as following:

Detective Sharon Montgomery— Force Investigation Division (FID)

Dective Andrew Flynn— Robbery/ Homicide

Detective Louie Provenza— Robbery/ Homicide

Detective Michael Tao— Tech

Lieutenant Brenda- Leigh Johnston— Special Operations Bureau (SOB)

"What!?" Provenza questioned with a raised voice. "Cheif, please tell me you at least tried to save the division!"

"Of course I did Detective!"

Sharon rounded the corner. Pope handed her a yellow flyer. Everyone watched as her eyes scanned the paper at least three times. She looked at the people around her, hovered the longest on Andy, and then in silence, picked up the box of her personal belongings and left the murder room.

They watched her go, listened to the clicking of her heels and the ding from the elevator as it took her up to her new journey in life.

Andy was next. He grabbed his box and left.

Tao did the same. As did Provenza.

Brenda and Pope were the only one left. She placed a passionate, longing, lust filled kiss on his lips. She turned, picked up her box, balanced it on her hip and left.

Pope looked around the room. He too walked to the door. He flipped off the lights and sealed the glass door.

Epilouge

Andy started to unpack his box. He found at the very bottom a small makeup compact. Curious, he opened the compact. he found no makeup, but rather a green positive sign on a piece of paper. Underneath, scrawled in elegant cursive, there was a little message that read: I will always remember. ~Sharon

After that, Andy found solace at the bottom of liquor bottles.

Tao and Cathy were married the summer after all the transfers. Four years later, they found she was pregnant again, this time with a son.

Brenda stayed for two years in SOB before moving back to Georgia.

Provenza eloped half heartedly to a young girl just two months after his transfer. They divorced just three years later. They had a girl together.

Sharon, pregnant with Andy's child, stayed in FID where the physical dangers were minimal but the emotional danger was high. Jack had moved in with her the day after her transfer. When she told him she was pregnant, she didn't mention it was Andy's child. She let him believe it was his. Elated at the news, he made her quickly plan a wedding to be married at the earliest time to suit both of their parents and to be able to provide a steady environment for the child. She had her daughter, Emily raider, in January.

Sharon was more than happy to have her own child, Jack too. Every time Sharon looked into Em's eyes, she saw Andy.

"You're mommy's secret," Sharon whispered conspiratorially to the infant. Jack went back to law school, promising that once he finished, she would go to school too. Foolishly, she believed every word that tumbled from his lips. She felt in debt to him since Emily wasn't really his daughter, but he knew no different.

As Pope crawled drunkenly into his bed, his thoughts filled with failures of the divisions, he slept soundly.

In his dreams, he counted cadavers.

Thank you for all the support you've shown! i would really appreciate your ending thoughts to this story!
