The Kingston boy only looked at me oddly, but obliged to follow me and replied sweetly. "Alright, dear, but please, slow down!" I ignored his sweet-talk and tugged him along, occasionally glancing past him to the shop.

Settling on a bench nearby, we made idle chit-chat, but I did notice that he had not released my hand, and every time I tried to move, he grabbed my hand with a little more force. Weird? Absolutely. Unpleasant? That was up for debate.

A few minutes afterwards, (and I'm not sure if this was a "saved by the bell" moment or something that should not have happened) Gray flew through a window, landing roughly on his back on the wall opposite to the shop. The man from before, the one who'd walked in with the knife, climbed through the shattered glass and dropped the thin, long piece of metal. I glanced over to Gray, but it didn't seem as if he'd been stabbed, not that I could see.

I stood up, dissolving my gloves and conjuring my bass tuba. Gray plugged his ears as he recovered, as he remembered this one well enough. Before I could play a note, however, the assassin had levitated the glass up, aiming towards Gray. Just in time, I sent the note, however, he turned at the last second and directed the shards towards myself. I covered my face with my arms, the bits and pieces causing my skin to part. I tensed up at first, checking my arms, which were now covered with my blood.

Getting over my pain for a few moments, I glanced back at Quinton, who was under the bench, where I'd instructed him to stay until everyone was safe.

My dress and gloves now in tatters, I wished my requip magic worked like Erza's, where I could change my clothes. Gray had captured the assassin in an ice cage while I'd been recovering from the glass strike. We both went over to Quinton, but instead of talking to him, we talked to each other in hushed voices.

"Gray, go and find the others. I'll stay here and protect Quinton. Be careful. Whoever that guy works for probably isn't just going after one member of the family," I instructed, my large tuba disappearing and being replaced with my white gloves, which I used to wipe some of the blood off my arms. He grabbed my wrists and looked around my arms, lightly twisting them around to see the reverse, where my guild mark lay, more cuts finding themselves almost everywhere.

"I'll live. Just a few cuts." I assured him, trying to lightly shake myself from his grip. He released slowly at first, then all at once, nodding to reply to my first statement. "Keep the brat safe. Your parents better be payin' us extra." He instructed Quinton, who began slowly getting up from below the bench. Gray turned on his heel and began stalking away, like something was bothering him.

Just a few moments after Gray had escaped our sight, a crash through a wall alerted me to Gildarts, who was ushering Lady Helena through the broken wood and stone. He sent a burst of magic towards something that was blocked from my vision. He motioned for us to run and take the two Kingston's with us. I shoot my head, turning my head and seeing Gray running back around the corner.

"What are you doing? Run!" Quinton yelled, grabbing my hand to pull me to where Gray was standing. I pulled away and pushed him towards the Ice-Make Wizard. "Go, now. I'll help Gildarts."

Gray, just a moment later, came running and pulled on my shoulder. "What's going on? Where's Erza, Lucy and Natsu?" he inquired, Lady Helena running over and standing behind the two of us. I shed my gloves once more, my white violin taking their place. "Gildarts, cover your ears! You guys too!" I told them, preparing to create a loud screeching sound that would disorient everyone's hearing. However, a hand from Gildarts signaled me not to cast. I removed the violin from my neck, watching carefully through the smoke that was pouring through the hole in the wall. Natsu emerged, carrying the blonde Celestial Wizard that I'd become so close to lately. She was battered, bruised, and not moving, but I could see a slight rise and fall of her chest. Next to the dragonslayer was Erza, clad in her Heaven's Wheel Armor. Freiwald Kingston was right behind her, running towards his family.

After a few moments, the dust settled, with Gildarts walking calmly over to the group. "Alright, we've got good news and bad news. Bad news, Lucy and Catherine are all banged up. Good news, the threat is no longer prominent." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, not bothering to correct him. "Well, we'd better get out of here. I'm not paying for this mess." I protested, sticking my nose slightly higher in the air. Natsu simply laughed and patted me on the back, receiving an odd look from both Gray and Quinton. "Get used to it. Fairy Tail's broke all the time!" With that, I simply shook my head and sighed. "Let's get outta here, before something else bad happens." Nobody protested, and we all quickly left the building, before the authorities got there.

(Juvia's POV)

I peeked my head from underneath my black hood, from which Love Rival Number Two nor Gray-Sama could see underneath. I had also seen the man with the knife, but I didn't think that Love Rival Number Two would run away with the rich boy! Juvia can now fight with Gray-Sama!

However, the fight didn't last too long with Gray-Sama and the bad man. Gray-Sama hit the bad man in the jaw, and the bad man hit him back in the same place. I was so worried, I wanted to cheer for Gray-Sama to get back up, but I might have blown my cover if I did that.

Later, however, Gray-Sama grabbed Love Rival Number Two's arms, and held on for more than ten seconds! She is trying to take Gray-Sama away from me, and I won't stand it!

Thoughts? Ideas? Please review down below and tell me how I should continue after my long hiatus!
