Honestly, this chapter kinda sucks because it's filler. The next two chapters will be better and longer I promise!

**Falling, Falling Snow**

~Chapter Four: THE Road Kamelot~

"Hey, Allen, can you hand me that bag?"

"Sure…" Why me? Ever since Lavi found out that Cross was acquainted with Komui Lee, he had made it his mission to become my best friend. He latched onto me like a leech, following me anywhere that he could. It was exhausting to have him around because of the trouble that he made. This led to me cleaning up after him and being blamed for half of his stunts. One more time and I would be thrown in detention for a week! This had to stop.

I handed Lavi the bag as we stood beside his locker. He accepted the back pack gratefully. It was then that Lavi pulled something from one of the pockets and slipped it into the front of his dark green hoodie… Was that… a firework…?

"Excuse me; gotta use the john." He began to whistle and walk to the nearest set of restrooms. I grabbed his wrist just as he was leaving and gave him a foul look.

"Don't even think about it!" His one emerald eye widened in surprise.

"Woah! You're more observant than I thought." The red head grinned.

"It doesn't take a genius to figure you out, smart ***." Lavi held up his hands in defeat from being caught.

"Guilty as charged." I rolled my eyes as we went to the cafeteria. Food would help ease the mood that I was currently in; it always did. I rubbed my stomach as it growled dangerously. The boy beside me just looked until he came up with something to say.

"You sure there's not a bear in your stomach, Allen?" Lavi pointed to it out of interest. I glared at him again.

"Absolutely." I then turned back to face the line. "I'm just hungry… Why do these people have to be so **** slow?"

"Probably because of that." In front of us, people were darting from one line to another, cutting people off and not letting anyone behind them to go around.

"Are you… SERIOUS!?" I felt rage overcome me and began pushing people aside, dragging Lavi along. "Move out of the way!" Five minutes later, we sat at an empty lunch table. I placed my fifth tray down, finally able to start eating. Lavi watched as I plowed through several pork chops, mountains of mashed potatoes, and helpings of fruit salad. His eyes widened in horror as I finished every tray.

At last, he managed out a measly, Are you okay?"

"Yeah; why?" I turned to face him for the first time since we sat down.

"Well, I was just thinking… Isn't eating all of that food going to make you sick?"

"Nah, I always eat like this."

"Seriously!?" His eyes bugged out and his jaw dropped out of disbelief. "But how did you afford to pay for all of this?"

"Cross always loans me a bit of extra cash for meals."

"A bit?" The red head now looked back at the empty trays that had once been piled high with food. He then began laughing, making me confused. My brow furrowed in frustration.

"What's so funny?"

"I finally found something weird about you!"

"Pardon?"

"Ever since I met you a week ago, I thought that you seemed a bit too ordinary. Now, I know that you're just as odd as the rest of us! And to think it was the way that you eat… Well, that's a surprise." He wiped a stray tear brimming at his eye. "Besides, it isn't helping your growth any either." He held me back as I lunged at him for that comment. "You're just a runt who hasn't hit his growth spurt yet!" With that, he laughed even more.

"He's somewhat right." There was Lenalee, Kanda, and Marie sitting in front of us. "We saw the entire thing. I never thought you would have that much of an appetite with how skinny you are." I was frozen as Lenalee poked me in the ribs, but I soon regained my senses. I waved my arms in alarm, blushed, and began sweating out of embarrassment.

"Oh, Lenalee, I didn't see you there until now…!" She smiled.

"Of course, you didn't. You were too engrossed with those trays of yours." She laughed.

"Hello; we're here as well, short stack, even if I don't want to be… I was forced against my will." Kanda wore the same foul glare that he always did as he broke apart a pair of chopsticks to eat his soba with. "Maybe you would notice if you stopped goggling over her." I turned a beat red and slammed my hands on the table.

"I do not!" Lavi let out a low whistle.

"I could totally see that happening! You two would make an awesome couple! That way Lena could come cuddle on me when you got into fights."

"Shut it, eye patch!"

"No need to be calling names, Allen."

"I think you deserve it."

"Lena, you're going against me as well!?" He pouted like a lost puppy.

"Don't give me that look; it never works."

"Dang it…" Lavi held his head in shame.

"Um… Sorry to ask, but why are you even sitting with me and this buffoon?" The red head shot up at my comment.

"Well, I'm attempting to remain hidden… Apparently, Road Kamelot is trying to hunt me down." She hung her head a little bit and smiled sheepishly. Lavi went bug eyed.

"THE Road Kamelot!?" He almost fell out of his seat. "Did you sign a death warrant or what?" I looked between the two of them.

"Excuse me, but who now…?"

"She's a demon! She takes advantage of anyone she can get her hands on. It doesn't make it any better that she's the Principal's daughter. Don't get anywhere close to her, Allen, or she'll take a hold of you as well! Believe me; she'll be on you like a dog with its new chew toy! Lenalee, what did you ever do to get on her bad side?"

"I might have accidentally… hit her in the face while trying to pass the basketball in gym." Lavi began laughing his *** off. "Hey! It isn't funny, Lavi! I was just trying to pass it to Miranda. I guess she panicked and ducked…!"

"Well, there's your problem right there, having Miranda as your gym partner!" He laughed even more, making Lena go scarlet and fume. After that, I had no idea what else they talked about, having zoned out to imagine the image of Lenalee in a gym uniform. That was the moment that someone collided with my back to lean over the table.

"There you are, Lenalee! I've been looking for you all morning!" I face planted into Lena's tray as the person accidentally knocked their head against my own. "Oh, I'm sooooo~ sorry!" The voice was sarcastic and childish.

"Allen, are you alright?" Lenalee cried out in astonishment.

"Oh, who is this? A new face?" I took a spare napkin and wiped the food from my face. I turned around to glare at her. "Name's Road; yours?" She had black hair and piercing amber eyes that were filled with mischief. Her tan skin stood out against the bright striped stockings and short dress she wore. There was a couple of dress code violations ruined. To me, Road looked like a Lolita girl that only caused mayhem, and I was not too far off the mark.

"Allen.. Allen Walker." Her eyes widened in mild surprise as she then took the lollipop she had out of her mouth. She then looked me up and down.

"You know… you're not too sore on the eyes with all of those potatoes off of you. We should talk sometime,… Allen. Ta ta~!" She giggled, winked at me, and sauntered away.

"****…" Lavi said from beside me. "I thought she was coming to rip Lena apart and turn her into dog chow, but I think you got her sorta distracted, Allen." He placed his hand on my shoulder in thanks.

"I feel so sorry for you, but thank you for saving me…" I went a little numb as realization hit. Could this school year get any worse?

(A.N.) I really need to cut it out where Allen is gaga over Lenalee. I, myself, am getting sick of it.

As for Allen complaining about people switching lines, this actually happens every day at my school and this is my response. I finally just grew tired of it, so me and my friends wait a few minutes then go up.

The next chapters are much better planned out than this one was, so they should be better content wise! Look forward to them! R&R!
