It had been three months since he had last seen the lovely Robin. Though he had never actually told her his actual feelings, the many marriages he had to conduct made him really want to. The thing was, Libra wasn't comfortable with actual human contact, and this extended to some animals too.
Even so, he thought, if it was Robin who wanted to hold his hands he would bear it. Heck, he'd probably enjoy it. But who knew what would actually happen should the moment arise. Though the thought of holding her hard-working hands in his seemed like it would be the time in which he peaks in life, and that the rest of his life would go downhill, wait. Where was he going with this?
Anyway, long story short, Libra had gained a huge crush on Robin since the war with Gangrel.
So shall we see how exactly this started?
Within the first three hours of Libra's addition to the army he had been mistaken as a woman by every single person he met without fail. It was draining, but he believed he had managed to clarify to everyone he met in the army that he was indeed male.
That was, until Robin got out of her four hour strategy meeting with Frederick, Miriel, Virion, and Chrom. Seeing as though Chrom was only there to give the official 'yes' it was mainly Robin and Virion proposing tactics with Frederick and Miriel's advice. So it was no surprise that what could've been a two hour meeting doubled because of the bickering between Miriel and Virion.
Mentally drained and quite hungry, Robin made her way to the mess hall. But then she ran into a new face, someone that she realized Chrom must've added for their "desire to fight for Ylisse".
Libra had been walking to the weapons tent when he literally collided with another human. Looking at what he had run into he jumped back at the contact and apologized profusely despite the fact that it was just him that was uncomfortable. Robin laughed softly at the flustered man until she realized that he was rather uncomfortable than embarassed as she originally thought.
"There's no need to apologize, sir," she stopped him, "But do tell me what your name is? I'm Robin by the way, the tactitian."
After being cut off by Robin he looked her in the eye, "Sorry once more, but I am Libra." She nodded and proceeded to hold her hand out to him. He paused as he remembered to tell her one detail. "I am a man," he said as he shook her hand.
Nodding, albeit confused, she smiled,"I kind of realized that already, Libra. I would think it's pretty obvious since you're dressed like a war monk." She then continued on her journey to the mess hall.
Now that was something new. She was literally the only person in the camp that knew that. Well, that was until he ran into Panne. She could smell it off him a mile away.
Then came the time where he had been carrying a bulk of supplies, which was easy enough for him seeing as though he wasn't one to slack off his training. Still, it seemed like a lot to anyone else. Thing was, he hadn't seen the rock in front of him, so it really came as a surprise when he didn't fall flat on the ground.
Robin had seen him carrying the boxes with ease, but she also saw the rock. Doing what Robin normally does, she rushed in front of him so that the supplies didn't spill out, supporting him and the boxes' weight until he regained his balance.
Backing up at the sudden proximity, he fixed his footing. "Thank you, Robin."
She smiled at him as she took a few of the higher boxes off his hands. "No problem. Here, let me help you. "
He smiled back, "Thank you again."
There was also that time where she had snuck up on him when he was drawing.
"Libra, what are you up to?" she asked, jolting him out of his stupor.
"Mearly drawing. "
She looked over his shoulder, making sure to keep a certain distance from him, something that he gratefully noted. "Gracious, that's very good! The shading and details are stunning, and the whole picture holds an air of melancholy... It's very much like you," she said, though the last part was more of a thought than a statement.
Libra looked at her. "Melancholy? Truly?"
She realized he had said something and had grown quite flustered. "I don't mean that in a bad way! Actually, just ignore me. I don't know very much in the fine arts."
"Neither do I."
Staring at him with wide eyes she said, "Really? But this talent says otherwise!"
He couldn't help but chuckle at her enthusiasm over a sketch of his. "People say they're lovely to look at, but lack soul."
"Well then they're fools. This picture has a lot of you in it, Libra."
Blushing at her statement he said, "Well then you can have this picture." He pushed the sketch forward into her hands.
"Really? It's not a request or commision for anyone?" she said, taking the paper hesitantly.
"I don't do requests. Ever. No exceptions."
She flashed him another award-winning smile (at least that's what he thought). "Well if it's not for anyone then I'll gladly accept. Thank you."
Robin then left him to hang her new picture up somewhere. He noticed his heart was beating faster than normal and thought it'd be best to lie down.
Needless to say, the war monk was now infatuated with the tactictian. Whenever she rounded the corner his eyes would follow her until he caught himself staring. Whenever she stayed up too late while he was on watch he would tell her to get some rest. Whenever he was about to be stopped in battle she would always be there to back him up. Whenever she was too tired to even get off the battlefield (which was always a serious case since she normally hid her pain till she got to the healiing tent) he would be there to carry her back. Whenever he felt down in new villages since he always gets mistaken for a woman, she would always be there to remind him that he was whatever he wanted to be. And he was a man. He wanted everyone to understand that he was born a man and always will be one. And most importantly, he wanted to be her man.
And that is what leads us to the present.
The war with Gangrel was over and it was time for Chrom's wedding. It was after the final battle that Chrom had proposed to Olivia. Many people were surprised, but the few that knew, Stahl, Robin, Libra, Lissa, and Frederick, had seen it coming when they noticed Chrom spending the entire week before the battle trying to get Olivia comfortable around him. They didn't expect a proposal, but it wasn't as if it was impossible. Chrom had always been a strange one. Still, he had broken some hearts, namely Sumia and Cordelia, though it was hinted that Maribelle held some interest in him too.
Libra had officiated the wedding for them. It was grand, it was beautiful, and it was definitely something that scared the crap out of Olivia.
Still, seeing as though Chrom was her fiancé, he helped her through it, and it was the cutest the army has ever seen their commander. It was so cute to see him hold her blushing face and calm her down before she passed out from all the attention as they said their vows.
It was then, when he announced that Chrom could kiss his bride that he locked his gaze with Robin, from her position as the Maid of Honor. Her eyes were already on him and she sent a smile his way, one of the smiles that brought his heart racing and his knees weak. Focus, Libra, you got a ceremony to finish.
Now, though the whole kingdom was invited to the wedding, only the women in the army gathered for the bouquet toss, and it was quite the circle. Closing her eyes, Olivia sent the bouquet flying with a "Please don't kill each other!". Funny thing was, because she was so nervous she threw the flowers nowhere near the group. It had made a diagonal line towards Robin, where she stood next to the other women who had no interest, and fell straight into her hands.
If the whole kingdom wasn't there, the whole event would've lead to a deafening silence, only to erupt into a startling roar.
"Robin! You're next!" screamed some joyous bridesmaids as they buried her.
But before they did, Libra caught sight of her flushed face and her gaze in his direction. His own face colored at her eyes, but the moment was short-lived seeing as though she was tackled from all sides about who she had in mind. He didn't know the answer to that, but he was sure that she was in his.
Your move Libra.
Finally updated. I'm a piece of crap.
