Also THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE 100 FAVORITES! WE SHALL ALL CELEBREATEEEE! I love you guys so much! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Again, I'm sorry if I used your name, just know that I choose these names by random, not from some personal reason. Thanks!

I spread on my sun screen as I stared out into the beach. It was so beautiful...

The sand was so white, and the water was baby blue. People surrounded the life-guard stand as they danced around in the music or read magazines. I smiled when I saw my girlfriends chatting with the life-guard. I roll my eyes and put on my sunglasses.

I'm a junior in college at UCLA. I study the arts and I'm planning to become an artist soon. I grabbed my canvas and headed out to the beach towards my friends as the sand soaked in between my toes. I felt the sea breeze whip against my face and the sun shining against my back. When I met my friends: Sora, Minny and Nina, their hair was already wet.

Sora has dark brown hair with a hot pink highlight and blue eyes. She has tanned skin and her hair was messy with bangs that are choppy. Minny has copper-colored hair that was tied into a ponytail today. Her pale green eyes were large and brighter than my future.

Nina was the most beautiful out of all the four of us. She had a curvy body with blond hair and piercing blue eyes. She has fair skin and she always wears the best of clothes. She was also the richest of all of us as well. However, she's not the nicest to girls who aren't like her and to girls who challenge her. Sometimes Sora, Minny, and I wonder how she got so cold-hearted and ambitious.

"Hey girl! Oh my gosh, you look gorgeous! Love the hat!" Nina smiled so wide that it almost looked forced out. Sora and I looked at each other reluctantly.

"Thanks Nina. So, what did I miss? My mom said that I couldn't come until an hour later because of the exams next week," I laid down next to Minny and Sora and stared at the waves crashing down on the sand.

"I know! I can't believe the year is almost over! I swear yesterday I was five," Minny said and Sora giggled.

"Hey, wanna swim?" Nina took off her sunglasses and slipped off her blouse that was covering her five hundred dollar bikini. I looked at her uneasily.

"I dunno Nina, I don't swim," I said and Nina rolled her eyes.

"Come on, it's not that hard. Just wade! Let's go!" Nina walked towards the beach, receiving whistles from guys. Sora, Minny, and I hesitantly followed.

Here I come, I thought, my feet slowly inching towards the water. The water soon came up to my thighs and I waded into the ocean slowly, feeling the current push me backwards and forwards.

Hey, it wasn't so bad after all! I exclaimed to myself and waded around. Sora and Minny followed Nina as she urged them to follow her. I surged forward with all my energy to wade with her. When I finally got there, they were already talking.

"The life-guard is so hot," Nina commented and everyone nodded their heads.

"I know, right? I heard he has a girlfriend though, a pretty girlfriend." Minny said and Sora widened her eyes when Nina snorted.

"Minny, Minny, Minny. Understand that no one is hot enough to challenge me. Unless you're talking about another me, shut up right now." Nina spat and Minny stayed silent.

"Um... Nina, the waves are getting really strong. Let's go back-" I started.

"No, you go back then." Nina snapped, I didn't respond.

I need to go back. My health...

I jumped back into the water, slowly swimming towards the shore. I couldn't make progress though, the waves kept crashing back at me, spewing my eyes with salt-water. I coughed and stayed afloat in one place. I used all my muscle from moving backwards as the winds got stronger. I was exhausted already. The waves were like suction cups, pulling me back no matter how hard I try. I couldn't feel my arms anymore. I started to freak out.

"Sora! Minny! Nina!" I cried, "Help!"

None of them responded. Only Sora turned her head, but she didn't react in anyway. I felt my heat being broken little by little.

I thought they were my friends...

I soon couldn't feel my legs.

Suddenly, I was crashed backwards. I hit something hard, hearing a snap! I gasped and I felt the back of my head. Once I took my head off it, it was blood.

I screamed and blacked out.

...

Slowly, I felt the sun shine at me again. The wind whipping against my face. It used to feel so good, like everything was going to be okay. Until now.

I opened my eyes, letting the light in. I squinted and stirred. Five faces were in front of me. The one closest to me was a guy. A really... cute guy. He had raven-black hair that was wet as beads of water dripped down it. He had a toned body with a nice tan, showing his abs. And his eyes... sea-green, comforting me like it's never going to let me go.

The face next to the guy was a girl. She had blond hair that cascaded down her shoulders. She was muscular as well, and a nice body. For a second, I thought she was Nina, the perfect girl. But no, her eyes were different from Nina's. Nina's eyes were arrogant and seductive. The girl's eyes were intelligent and intimidating. Nina's eyes were piercing blue, like how she pierces people's feelings. The girl's eyes were stormy grey, with a silver lining to every swirl.

I found the girl more perfect the Nina I announced.

I sat up and groaned.

"Hey, you alright? Hurt your head pretty badly," The cute guy asked. I stared at him.

"Um... yeah, I'm fine. Just dizzy," I responded wearily. The guy gave her a small smile.

"Hey, you could've gotten hypothermia if it weren't for Annabeth here," the guy gestured to the girl with the stormy eyes.

"Hi," the girl said, smiling.

"Thank you... Annabeth. Where's Sora, Minny, and Nina?" I asked, trying to ignore the black dots that danced in my eyes.

"Oh, you're friends?" The guy asked, with a little disgust in his face. I was offended.

"Yes, my friends." I retorted.

"They left." Annabeth replied.

"What?" I cried. The guy and the girl sat forward.

"Yeah, like nothing happened," the guy said, "if it weren't for us, you could've been dead by now, or worse, afraid."

I didn't understand how some things could be worse than death... but hey, don't judge right?

"Hey, don't blame it on her Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said and the guy sighed.

"Right. Sorry," the guy apologized. And for once, I believed that apology. Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"Stupid, as always." she remarked.

"Hey!" he protested and Annabeth laughed. She kissed him, straight on the lips, and he kissed her back, like they would fall into hell for each other. The kiss could've lasted longer, but it got awkward.

"Um..." I cleared my throat, and they quickly pulled away and blushed.

"Haha..." the guy started, "Um... I'm Percy. Life-guard."

The Life-guard. The oh-my-gosh-he's-so-hot-but-he-has-a-girlfriend life-guard.

"I'm Josie," I introduced.

"Awesome. Let me see if there's any more of people like you. I'll be right back." Percy stood up and walked away.

It was just Annabeth and I. It was awkward, especially since I almost died.

"You know, I don't know why you're still friends with them." Annabeth commented. I wanted to get angry, but I felt a tugging sensation on the bottom of my stomach, that she was kind of right. Why am I friends with them?

"What do you mean?" I asked and she sighed.

"Are they really your friends? I mean, you were crying for help, but they didn't do anything about it. You were bleeding, and they still didn't do anything about it. Forget friends, talk about whether they are human or not." she raised her hand up once I opened my mouth, "You don't have to listen to me. But friends are supposed to be there for you. Those are like, the standards. I know you might think that the blond girl might not be your true friend. But think about the other two girls too. Were they actually there for you when you needed them the most?" she stood up, helping me stand up as well.

I never felt so cared about before. I looked down in shame. Was she right? Was I just not only Nina's puppet, but Sora and Minny's puppet as well? It hurts, you know? It hurts being told that you were being used.

"Thanks Annabeth," I said. She just smiled, patted my shoulder and left. Percy came back a second later.

"You okay?" he asked, giving another smile. I smiled back. He checked my wound, "Did Annabeth give you one of her inspiring speeches again?"

I laughed at that, "Yeah, I guess," I felt him chuckle.

"That's her all right. I had to hear it for nine years." Percy joked and I cracked a smile. There was one of those awkward pauses. He finally spoke again, "But you know, just this time, she's right. Those girls shouldn't be your friends. You need to start standing up for yourself. You have a voice too, you know that right?"

I nodded.

"Yeah, well... use it. It's gonna be worthwhile." he said and Annabeth came back, with my stuff. She handed it to me and laced her fingers into Percy's.

"If you need some talk, come by here. We'll be there for you." Annabeth kissed Percy's cheek as she wrapped her arms around his neck. I smiled.

So beautiful.

"You still owe me a dinner." Annabeth said as I walked away.

"Oh," Percy responded.

"Oh my gods Percy," Annabeth said, sighing, "what am I going to do with you?"

"Love me?" he said cheesily.

"Love you too," I heard Annabeth say, until their comforting, soothing voices faded out.

...

I can do this. I can do this! I said in my mind, tapping my pen as the professor lectured. I eyed them as they giggled, showing each other pictures. For the first time, I rolled my eyes.

"Have a good day guys," the professor said and every started to shuffle papers and get out.

I walked towards them, fighting through the crowd of people. When they saw me, Sora and Minny hugged me. I didn't hug back. I breathed in their disgusting perfume smells, and their cosmetics. I suddenly saw the bad things that I didn't see before.

"You alright? Oh my gosh, we were looking for you everywhere!" Minny squealed.

"Yeah, we thought you were dead!" Sora said. I closed my eyes.

You have to stand up for yourself I remember Percy say.

Were they actually there for you when you needed them the most? I remember Annabeth say. And I growled.
"So you guys ditch me, and then give up on me, and then you lie to me." I raised an eyebrow. They remained silent. I scoffed, "Wow, and I thought you guys were my friends,"

"What are you talking about-" Nina started and I interrupted.

"Don't you dare talk back at me Nina!" I spat. Nina put her surprised face on, like she just got rejected. "I can't believe you and especially you. You almost killed me. And you don't admit a single thing you did wrong. You're disgusting, you know that? Somebody might as well tell you," I shouldered my bag and walked out of the lecture room.

I felt like a huge weight was off my shoulders. But at the same time, I was afraid.

Suddenly, I knocked into someone. I looked up and saw it was...

"Josh?" I gasped.

"Josie?" Josh said, "Oh my gods!" We hugged each other, "Dude! Long time no see!" I grinned.

"Yeah! I was about to head out for lunch, wanna talk about it there?" I asked and he grinned.

"Sure, we could meet up with my friends and we could hang out together!"

"Sounds great!"

The best part?

When I followed Josh to his friends, I saw a familiar black-haired boy and a stormy grey pair of eyes in his group.

"P-Percy? Annabeth?" I squealed. They were holding hands when they saw me. They smiled.

I think I'm gonna do just fine.

There it is! It was supposed to be a cheater flirt with Percy but I was in an inspiring mood. SO, I changed the whole entire story. Sorry there was barely any Percabeth moments. Tell me if I need more. Love you guys!
