Welcome back to another chapter for Lost Memory!

LM has been on the back burner of my mind for a long time, and I've been tweeking and changing little things but I have the story in my mind, but I've been having a hard time putting it down on word. My mind is too fast for my hands and I forget some details that I should have written which is why this is taking a long time to upload and update.

I thank you for your patience and your continued support! I pray for your enjoyment and hope to hear from you guys!

Okay!

So we just learned of a new character, a mermaid named Julie. I'm going to keep introducing more characters, but will keep with the characters that Twilight provides. There will be some Cullen bashing later on, so if that bothers you, I suggest you stop reading now! :)

I understand this isn't for everyone but I still love you guys regardless!

Okay here we gooooo~

Chapter 8- Avenging

Bella's POV 5 years 1 months and 4 days after kidnapping.

The ride back was uneventful as always. There was no unnecessary chatter as the people in the care are dumb dolls who do as he says with no will power.

It was 2pm when we got back and I slowly walked up the stairs to my room. Sliding my hands against the wall as I go. Hoping that by tonight that these walls will be burnt down and taken by the wind.

When 7 pm rolled around, I headed to the dining room for dinner. Dressing in my normal dresses that HE requires of me and we sat down to enjoy a meal. The meal. The last meal. With him.

It was incredibly hard to keep a straight face of nonchalant throughout dinner, but I managed thinking about Angelica and the fact that I'm broken of his compulsion. Dinner was uneventful as it is usually him droning on and on about the work he is going to do and the reforms of the world that it needs.

Then suddenly, he stopped talking and I froze. He started to look around and snapped at the people surrounding the meal. I tried to look as inconspicuous as possible and bring less attention to myself. Why is it right before the pivotal moment, I forget what I usually do? I lowered my head and continued to cut into my fillet mignon and slowly eat, straining my ears to hear what he heard.

I heard silence, and the small platters of feet going from the sitting room to the weapons room. But then I heard something. The silent footsteps that are irregular and too fast for human ears to hear but enough for some supernaturals to realize that there is something outside coming fast.

He got up and I automatically stood as well. He gave me a flick of his head to indicate to follow him. I obediently stood up and followed 2.5 feet away from him. Matching stride like I was taught all those years.

This is it.

He stopped abruptly. I almost crashed into him if I wasn't paying attention. I caught myself and was startled when he turned around suddenly and grabbed my upper arm and dragged me to that room. Past the dark corridor and down the hall with the walls filled with paintings of him from different he can even put me inside, there was a crash indicating something was inside. He looked at me, his pupils dilating and he commanded with that voice.

"Stay inside and do not follow anyone you don't know".

Idiot. I know the people inside so that command is futile, but I nodded innocently.

He seemed relieved with that and started to go towards the crash, barking out orders to his mindless zombies.

I sat there by the copper door waiting.

I heard a shuffle by the corridor. I stood up abruptly and tried to stifle my fear.

I couldn't even follow the blur of red before I smelt the familiar scent of roses and lemon that only works with Victoria. I hugged her back strongly and held in my sobs. I felt another body behind me and knew it was Julie. I felt another body and I couldn't hold in my sobs after an unfamiliar, but comforting scent cigar and forest smell invaded my senses. I heard shushing and felt them stroking my hair and holding me close, not believing I'm there with them.

I don't know how long we stood there holding each other, but we broke apart when I heard a familiar sound of Julie's voice.

"Guys, I know it's been a while, but let's escape this death place before the family reunion".

I turn towards the other body. It was a large vampire. He was at least 6feet 5. He wasn't build like a bodybuilder, but was bulker than lanky. He was handsome. He had short brown hair and a small jagged scar running down the right side of his face. His eyes were red but were kind. I trusted him like my brother, but I don't know why. He felt familiar and like family and I trusted him implicitly.

"Who's the Viking?" I asked.

"This is Dmitri. My mate. It's a long story, but he's also your family. He's related to you."

My eyes widened. "Cool. Okay let's burn this place down."

Dmitri chuckled while Victoria tried to let go. She couldn't stop touching me and led me away towards the front door. I didn't even look around until we got outside. Just as Victoria was going to pick me up, I suddenly remembered.

"Wait! Angelica!"

Dmitri understood and went back to track her down. He came back within the minute with a blonde haired girl who lacked proper nutrition. She looked like a corpse. Her skin was paler than normal and had shrunken her face with bulging cheekbones from lack of food. Her eyes were still cloudy and it didn't seem like she knew what was going on. I was sad to see her like this. It feels like yesterday when she was full of life and was bringing me to the great adventures of her backyard. The silly stories of our prince charming and our love that can withstand anything. Our weekly sleepovers of cookies and Disney. Her eyes once filled with admiration for the beautiful and fantasy now is filled with dread and emptiness.

Dmitri went back and started to set the place on fire. Julie helped him while Victoria, Angelica and I waited. Once we saw it catch on fire, Dmitri picked up Angelica and started to head towards south with Victoria and I right behind him.

As we travelled across the forest, Angelica finally freaked out. She started to thrash around and Dmitri was so shocked that he almost dropped her. We stopped and tried to calm her down. Julie was still back at the house to help others who were taken captive and under his spell.

Dmitri let go of Angelica and went to get Julie. Not realizing that Angelica unhinged with his influence was more dangerous for a vampire alone who didn't have her emotions together yet.

Angelica started to sob and I walked over to her slowly, as if she was a caged animal. When I got to her and placed my hand on her shoulder. She turned suddenly and thrust something at me. Victoria was a little too late to realize what was happening. I look down and there was a dagger lodged in my stomach.

I inhaled sharply. There wasn't any pain but that was probably the shock taking over. I looked down and pulled out the dagger. When it came out I looked at her with shock and she stared back blankly as if she didn't just stab someone. I stumbled back and away from her, throwing away the dagger as I go.

Victoria had a sudden burst of anger and her vampirism came out and she pushed Angelica away, throwing her towards the unknown forest tens of feet away from us.

Victoria started to freak out. She held me towards her chest. She wasn't sure how to hold me. I couldn't feel her cold hands or her rock hard body, all I felt was a stinging pain in my stomach.

The pain was setting in now. Oh god, that fucking hurts. I couldn't breath now.

I wasn't paying attention but I was able to get some parts.

Oh god, please stay awake…. You can't leave me… Do I turn you now?... Do you want to live? I'm so sorry…

I couldn't express my sorrow or my pain as Angelica nicked my abdominal aorta as I was spurting blood everywhere.

Before long, I started to lose consciousness. But before that I felt a cool hand over my abdomen and a cool vast blanket of water surrounding me.

DUH-DUH-DUHHHHH. Cliff hanger! Sorry but it had to be done.

Okay so Dmitri is here! He's going to be important later on, so is Victoria! hehe review for more!

Till next time!
