Hi folks! I just wanted to start this by saying thank you to everyone who has clung on to the hope that this story would be completed some day. That day is not today. That day is (unfortunately) never going to come. Sorry!

Every now and then I get an email saying that someone has started following this story, and while I'm very flattered that new people consistently read this and think it's something worth checking in on, I hate disappointing y'all. Back in 2016 I tried to rewrite the entire story and shape it into something that I was proud of (AKA 16 year-old me fixing all the plot-holes that 14 year-old me dug themselves into) but, quite obviously, that wasn't a success and I gave up on it. I was more focused on my original writing projects then, and I'm still very much more focused on them now. This lil' bit of writing that I've worked on has helped me improve immensely as a writer, but I'm done with it.

I don't remember the entirety of whatever the heck I made up for the plot, but I figured that it would sort of suck for me to ditch this and never say how I'd meant for it to end. In short? Leo (and others?) die! The only character that I remember For Sure being safe is Piper. 14 year-old me thought that sort of ending would be dramatic and - deep -, for whatever reason, and I tried to roll with it. I tried to write out what I remember of the plot, but the more I remembered the less it made sense. There was supposed to be this big build-up that lead to the crew losing their trust in Leo, which lead to him switching sides, and somehow they all made it to Athens for the Big Showdown and Leo winds up dying in like . . . self-sacrifice? Because he switched sides again? I never finished the last Heroes of Olympus book. but I think that Leo did a sacrifice-type-thing there too, except he came back to life. Not here! In this story he stayed dead lol

When I write that out, it sounds so silly!

Anyway, thanks to all the readers out there who stumbled across this (36,000+ of you ! that's crazy to me) and gave it a shot. Honestly, I don't think it was worth finishing— but thank you to the people who wanted to see it completed nonetheless. Sorry it isn't. 14 year-old me (and 16 year-old me!) had grand ideas of what they wanted from this story, and those grand ideas just couldn't sustained. It sucks admitting that.

After all these years spent on this site, I've of gathered a hefty amount of advice from reviews, and I've taken every ounce of it and applied it to my other writing projects so that I could improve and become better. I've accomplished things that 14 year-old me would have never even dreamed of, and if my professors knew that I'd kicked off my passion for writing through a fanfiction site, I'd definitely be embarrassed. Ultimately though, I couldn't be more thankful.

I won't be coming back to this site and I'm sorry to leave this story unfinished. It's probably silly to write so much for this final update, especially for a story that made so little sense, but I know how much it sucks when authors just leave unfinished works hanging around with no news of what happened to them and I didn't want to do that to whatever readers I have left. Thank you for sticking by me!
