Water. Water trickled, slipping from her fingers. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and drank...

She was running. Running, faster than she'd ever run before. She had to find them. Find them somehow in this wide, wide world full of noise. Noise that just kept growing and growing. This town wasn't like Treegap. It was so loud. Too loud. Too many people making too much noise. But she ran anyway.

She finally spotted the door to a little shop. She pushed the door open and some little bell rang. She ran to the counter, but slowly, because she didn't have the energy. She could only hope that the face she saw there would be...Yes! She'd found him.

"Jesse!" He looked up from the newspaper he was reading. He seemed dazed for a second, as if he didn't know who she was.

"Excuse me, miss, have we met before? You seem oddly familiar..."

Of course, her face. It'd grown, not the face of the Winnie he knew, not the ten year old having the time of her life being kidnapped.

"Jesse, it's me."

He blinked a couple of times. Then, he got out from behind the counter, dropping his newspaper. He stepped in front of her and took her face in his hands. He squinted at her. "Winnie?"

She smiled. "I found you."
