Tell Me
Pairing: ShadowXRouge
Summary: You know you can tell me anything, and I mean anything.
On a calm, quiet evening, Shadow and Rouge were sitting next to each other on Rouge's light lavender colored couch, in Rouge's mansion.. A small, blue quilt covered the two creatures legs. The walls were pearly white, the tiles was a tan color, and there was a fire place that was already lit. The flames danced, as Rouge and Shadow kept sitting on the couch. Earlier, Rouge made some tea for Shadow and herself. Rouge already finished her cup, but Shadow barely touched his. Rouge sensed that something was wrong, she became a little worried.
"Shadow," Her voice spoke, softly. "What's wrong?" The ebony hedgehog took a short glance at her before his gaze returned to his red cup.
"Nothing you should be concerned about." He tightly gripped the handle of the cup. She was afraid that if he kept doing that, he was going to break her cup.
"Shadow," She became a little bit offended. Shadow always tells her whatever was on his mind, and now he wasn't going to tell her. What is up with him?
"Why won't you tell me what's wrong?" Rouge the Bat asked, Shadow didn't look at her in her eyes. His gaze now moved towards the fire place.
"Nothing's wrong, Rouge, I just feel like you shouldn't be concern with this, that's all." Shadow spoke, quietly.
"Well, I want to hear anyways." Rouge smirked, "Spill the beans." The ivory bat leaned back against her couch and began to get comfy. The quilt was snuggled up against her chin.
Shadow blinked, "I've been more confused than usual, lately."
Rouge closed her heavily blue make upped eyes, "About what, hun?"
"I can't say for sure, but it involves with you." Rouge popped open one of her eyes.
"Me?" Shadow slowly nodded his head.
"When I'm around you, I feel...weird." The ebony hedgehog confessed.
Rouge raised her brow, "Weird? What do you mean by that?"
"Like I said before, I'm not entirely sure, but my stomach feels odd when I'm around you." Shadow shrugged, thinking this was nothing, but Rouge had a dirty, little smirk on her face.
"Does your heart beat faster when you're with me?" Rouge asked, sneakily.
Shadow took a moment to think about this. "Yes."
"Does your palms get sweaty?" Rouge asked.
"Yes." Shadow responded, "But what does this have to do with anything, Rouge?"
"Aha!" Rouge exclaimed, loudly, "I've found the solution to your problem!"
The ebony hedgehog raised his brow, "And what have you found out, Rouge?"
Rouge smirked before answering, "It means that you like me." The snow-white bat answered.
"Ugh, I don't think so." Shadow said, clearly in denial. Although, he may have agreed with her...if his pride wasn't in the way.
Rouge ignored Shadow, "Aw, isn't this sweet? The big, bad ultimate life-form loves me!" Rouge snickered. Shadow blushed, he growled and turned away so that she wouldn't see him blushing.
"Aw, Shadow loves me!" Rouge kept on teasing Shadow. She wouldn't stop until he admitted it.
"And what if I do?" His quiet voice was heard from her acute bat ears.
Rouge stopped the teasing, "I'm sorry, Shadow."
"Hmph..." Shadow huffed. "You better be."
Her enormous bar ears lowered down on her skull, "I guess the reason why I'm teasing you is because I sort of like you too, then." Rouge confessed.
Rouge scooted closer to the ebony hedgehog and embraced his waist. Her head rested on his lap. Both of the creatures sat in silence, watching the fire dance in the fire place. Leaving Shadow, still confused as ever.
The End!!!
