Omake:
Lithuania felt a tinge of nervousness in his stomach when he approached the Swiss man. He really hoped Vash was in a semi-agreeable mood today. With the news that his sister was out on a first date with his best friend, he doubted though.
When Feliks had to Toris about his date, he was thrilled for him, really. A little weirded out because never in his life would he have imaged Poland with Liechtenstein, but it seemed they worked well together. Switzerland on the other hand, made him fear for his friend's life.
Which is why the Lithuanian nation found himself standing in front of the small two seater coffee table which was directly across the street from the diner where said date was commencing. Switzerland glared up at him.
Toris let out a nervous laugh and worried his eyebrows. "Excuse me, I-"
"You're the tranny's friend right?"
"Erm, yes-"
"Lithuania, right?"
"Yes that's ri-"Vash interrupted him with a command.
"Sit."
"Y-yes sir!" And Toris sat in the seat across from the Swiss. There was a short awkward silence before he cleared his throat nervously, getting Vash's attention. "I..I can to um, ask that you please not um…hurt Feliks-" he was again interrupted. "Who?"
"Oh, um Poland, the um…man dating your sister…"
Switzerland's face darkened considerably and made a move that said "I'm going to take out my gun and shoot you". Toris panicked, and waved his arms in the air. "Ah! No please hear me out!"
Vash stopped and looked at him with a critical eye, before leaning back and giving what Lithuania assumed was the "hurry up and continue" hand gesture. Toris fidgeted in his seat; Switzerland was looking at him so intently he couldn't help but blush at being put on the spot.
"W-well," he started, "Fel-Poland is a good guy, honest and, I'm more than positive that he would do nothing to harm Liechtenstein. He's become really smitten with her and..And I haven't seen him like this in a rather long time-" Once again Vash interrupted him with a gruff snort and glower out the window behind them.
"Lilly likes him too." Lilly, Lithuania assumed, being Liechtenstein. "A-ah…"
Vash slouched in his seat and crossed his arms – Toris resisted the erg to shake his head in disbelief. Was Switzerland pouting? "What's worse is that she tricked me to go on this date with him. Lilly's never done that before, I don't know what to think of it-"
This time it was Toris to interrupt. "She must really like Feliks then." He concluded. He was truly happy for his friend; the girl liked him back after all. Vash giving a wide-eyed look, as though the thought had never donned on him before his ears colored and he looked down at the café floor, but said nothing.
Toris hated awkward silences.
"Order something." The Swiss slid the menu to him. "W-what?" the command, which it obviously was because the tone of voice strictly sated it was not a suggestion. "Order something" Vash repeated, more stern. "Oh..um yes!"
Toris didn't really want anything but he took the menu nonetheless and scanned it over. He was nervous again. Glancing over the top of the menu he caught the green eyed Swiss man staring at him. "Um.."
Vash jumped in his seat like being caught taking the cookies from the jar and turned away, his whole face lighting up. Toris became confused, but said nothing on it and looked back at the menu and tried to strike up a conversation. "Is the coffee good here?"
"Shit they're leaving!"
"W-what?" Before Toris could register what was going on Vash jumped from his seat, effectively knocking over his chair grabbed the Lithuanian by the arm and ran off. "W-wait! Oh dear…"
And that was how Toris and Vash first met.
