Guys thank you so much for the reviews! I loved them so much that they make me wanna keep writing… in fact I'm a little intrigued to how this story is going to continue… so let's found out…

-"An invitation"

It's been five years already since Brooke Davis had gone to Rome. She studied fashion, of course, and was a very successful lady. She was classy, everyone knew her, she got invited to every party there was in town. (well you know.. she was Brooke Davis) her social status was way up in the skies… Plus her specialty was to design wedding gowns, she was like the new Vera Wang. Every bride to be wanted Brooke to design their wedding gowns.

Let's say Brooke had the life she ever wanted… though in a way it was empty. She still talked to Peyton and Haley every now and then, but still something was missing.

Five years ago, when she and Lucas said goodbye, she was left brokenhearted… The morning after she took her flight to Italy and started a new life, but of course you can never start a new life, when you are still tied to your past one, and as much as she tried getting over him, it was useless.

He was still on her mind, constantly. Brooke wrote a letter, she wrote all her feelings and described everything as much as she could. That would be her last hope, if he answered the letter, then all she needed to have was faith, that he was still thinking of her and that sometime and somehow they were going to find their way back together. Two months passed since she send the letter, and there was still no answer. She would run every morning and check her mail, she got a lot of letters, but none of them were from him.

She finally gave up, one night without knowing everything was about to change, she and her friends went to a bar… there she met someone that was going to change the way she felt towards love.

David Waughn, was of course not and Italian guy, but he moved when he was young with his family. He was 25 years old, and was a business man. Nick worked in an internet company. Brooke actually thought that was kind of boring, but still was interesting, he was interesting, because there was something that called her attention. He took a seat next to her and they started talking. They had several drinks, and lots of fun that night. They started dating, taking things slow and after a year and a half they moved in together.

Brooke was happy, giving love a new chance.

It was now, five years later, she found herself sitting on the bed, just looking at an invitation, her very first best friend was getting married, to non other but Jake Jagliesky. She was of course thrilled of excitement about the news. It was good to know that finally Peyton and Jake had found a way to be happy. The thing was that they were still living in Tree Hill. Brooke hated the idea of going back home.

"What are you thinking about?" a hoarse, but still sweet voice said, kissing her cheek. Dave had just gotten out of the shower and was getting dressed.

"Uhm.. nothing.. I was just… I don't know if we should go " she said

"What? Brooke, baby, come on you told me Peyton was your best friend, and I mean.. it's her wedding" he smiled trying to convince her

"Yeah… but.."

"No buts " he interrupted "we are going I really want to meet all the people you grow up with" he smiled "plus… I'm sure you will want Peyton here that day we get married" he said happily

"Why.. what?" she said excited "what does this mean?" she let out a nervous chuckle

"Well.. it means that I don't wanna be apart from you" he said and then cleared his throat "Well.. ehm.. it's not like I'm proposing, cause I don't want to freak you out, honey but maybe in a future" he smiled

"yeah, maybe " she smiled

"But we are still going to Tree Hill, you like it or not missy" he chuckled

Brooke took a deep breathe… So they were actually going to Tree Hill. David always wanted to know a little bit more about Brooke's past… she only talked to him about Peyton and some tutor girl and Nathan who got married, still in high-school… He thought that was kind of crazy, so there was defiantly going to be more of that craziness around, but she had never talked about an ex- boyfriend… And she was beautiful, he had seen photos of her and Peyton, or with the squad…she was really beautiful in high-school, she was popular… she had to have a boyfriend, but every time David asked about it.. she would just change the subject.

"Well, I should be back in a while, gotta go to the office for a while, I'll call the airline and reserve the tickets for tomorrow, alright?" he asked Brooke who was still looking at the invitation…. "Brooke?"

"Yeah, alright.. I'll start packing" she smiled, David, who now was ready in his suit to got to work leaned again to kiss her, she kissed him back and then he looked for his bag and the car keys.

"Ok, I better leave, I love you" I he said

"I love you, too" she answered before he left

She had left him thinking, what on earth could have got Brooke that distracted today, there was something about Tree Hill that got her nervous and stressed, something that she wouldn't tell him.

And that wasn't just something, it was of course… certain someone.

Lucas Scott was now playing basketball.. His dreams came true, he was now a 4 year pro basketball player, he was playing for the New York Knicks. He was know getting paid for practices, and every game won, which were a lot. Of course Lucas wasn't alone… Nathan was in the team too. Nathan and Lucas had put all their problems and arguments in the past, and now they've been trying to work their brother friendship thing again, cause not only they were team mates, but Haley forced them.

Yeah, Nathan and Haley were still married, after that magical night years ago, thing could only get better and better. Deb called Nathan and told him the truth, that she and Keith were the ones who tried to set Dan on fire… or that Deb was the one who really drugged him, and Keith was the one who started the fire. Of course Nathan lost a little contact with his mother, but still he knew that she had her reasons. Deb, feeling as much as guilt she could feel, bought Nathan and Haley a new apartment. Nathan couldn't just leave the house, where now he and his father were living, so he decided to rent that new apartment and save the money for a future, for college for him and Haley. Meanwhile, Haley stayed with Brooke at the old apartment. But when high- school was over they sold that apartment and split half and half between Brooke and her. With that and some more money they had, Haley and Nathan started a new married life in New York, where she got to do her music, of course she had to start over with that too, and Nathan could play some ball.

During these five years, Lucas was only focused on basketball, he had no time for any other thing, or any other one. He would wake up every morning, and even at nights thinking of her, whether to write her, or phone her, but he didn't know her address or phone number, of course while he was still in touch with Haley or Peyton that was not a problem. In fact there were several times when he found himself writing, but he then realized he was the one who forced this. He was the one who decided to let Brooke go, and now he was paying the consequences.

As he couldn't have her he focused more and more in basketball, until he became captain of the team. After a couple of months playing, along with Nathan, he could afford himself a Penthouse at the Four Seasons Hotel ( A.N:I don't know if that's possible, I mean in the Four seasons… but how cool would that be, huh?).

He had the life every other young bachelor in the world would have wanted… but he wasn't living it. Every now and then Nathan would give him some advice, like… find a girl, go out on dates, and he actually did that things, but after the second date he would just compare everyone with Brooke, and god knows she's one in a kind.

"God I can't believe one of us is getting married" Lucas said leaning on his kitchen counter.

Nathan and Haley laughed at his comment..

"Well.. of course after you guys" I chuckled "it's kind of weird you know.. Peyton and Jake" he sighed

"Uhm.. no dude, it's completely normal" Nathan said

"Yeah Luke, why would it be weird?" Haley said taking a sip of her water and writing on her notebook.

"I… I don't know.. I was just saying" he answered. The thing was that everyone was getting married to their high-school sweetheart… and that would mean that, well of course, something impossible.

"Anyway dude, I already told the coach we were going to miss some of the practices" Nathan said, breaking the silence.

"And I just bought the tickets" Haley said "online" she added and chuckled

Lucas was just lost in his thoughts. Nathan walked behind Haley and kissed her "I'm so lucky I have the smartest wife ever" he said in between kisses. Suddenly Lucas got back to earth and saw them "Guys, come on get a room" he said forcing them to pull apart. Lucas laughed and went to the couch and turned the Tv on, he surfed all the channels until he found something he liked, and got frustrated when he found nothing… he sighed again taking a deep breathe… Nathan and Haley would just exchange looks, they knew about Lucas situation, how much he missed Brooke. And they were afraid of what they were going to find in Tree Hill, because of course Brooke was going, but who knows how much she might have changed.

Ok guys.. it's like five in the morning and I can't go on… this looks like kind of long in here.. I guess I had a good day and was inspired, lol.. Anyways I love your Reviews so please keep the coming!
