Hey everyoneee, so I'm here with a new chapter… I know it took a while… it's just that I was waiting for a little more reviews… but anyways… here's a new update… it might not be good… and it's really short… but I need to post this to get to the good part right ;)

Strangers

The café was soon closed, remaining only six people inside.

Karen yawned a little bit… "I'm so sorry guys, but… I've been working all day and as you might know… I'm much older that I was five years ago" she chuckled

"You are joking, right?" Haley said "Karen you are perfectly younger" she said, making Karen smile…

"Well thanks a lot honey, now like I was saying I'm going to head back home, here…" she said giving Lucas the café keys "why don't you close everything when you guys go back home" she offered

"You sure mom, cause we could go now if you want" what Lucas less wanted right now was to sit there talking to Brooke… actually not her… it was David the one who bothered him, he was there like everything was fine, when it wasn't… he was the new guy… and Lucas didn't like him at all…On the other side, you could say that David liked Lucas a lot… he was ignorant of everything that had happened between Brooke and him, but he knew very much that he was Lucas Scott the famous basketball player.

"Yeah... the night is young" Karen smiled "well, Brooke it was really nice to see you again, and David it was an honor to meet you" she said.

Brooke and David stood from their seats, the two ladies hugged and David shook her hand with her.

"It was nice to meet you, too Karen" he said with a big smile. A smile that Lucas well knew it was fake…

"I'll see you at home later" she said to Nathan and Haley… then she was gone back to her house.

The five young faces sat round a table… Lucas noticed David's arm around Brooke… and how she rested on him.. but coming to think about it… why did this bothered him so much… he was the one who set her free years ago… hoping she could find love somewhere else, and it seemed she had.

"So you guys, I really watch all the games" David said in a very Italian accent.

"Really? That's cool… our games are actually aired in Italy" Nathan said proudly

"Of course, honey" Haley chuckled…

They kept on talking, there were a few laughs every now and then…

Brooke noticed thatthe blond well known face was a little bit quiet, brooding as always… well that was what he did best, and she guessed that was never going to change… God Lucas looked so good, just like she remembered him… she lift up her sight meeting Lucas's eyes.. she gave him a little smile, not really knowing what the rest were talking about, and she knew that Lucas didn't know either.

He looked at her just to find her looking back at him, so he looked down again and cleared his throat… "I'm going to go make some more coffee" Lucas said, not really caring if there was some more left or not… he just needed to get out of there.

He stood up and walked to the kitchen, Haley looked at Nathan then at Brooke…. ( a lot of looks were shared :P ) but David was clueless… though he could sense something was up…

"I'm going to go help him…" Haley started saying but Brooke interrupted her

"Oh, no Hales please let me" Brooke said, Hales nodded at her knowing that she should go there and talk to him… "I'll be right back, ok" she said to David… then she went to the kitchen.

Brooke entered the kitchen, which Karen had arranged, and totally pimped it, it was beautiful now. She saw Lucas sitting over the counter…

"Hey stranger" she said waving a little… he looked up at her and smiled.

"Hey… "

"So… you look good, huh? How's… everything going?" she said nervously.. she wasn't sure what she had to say to him…

"Yeah... you too… everything's going really… great... things couldn't be any better" he lied; things were good… work was good actually… but life was a bitch…. He hadn't been able to find a good and descent woman to love, in all these years.

Brooke smiled "I'm glad" she said leaning against another counter in front of him…

"I guess things are good for you, too" Lucas said "David seems… nice… I guess" he finally said.

"He is a good man, I'm sure that you two could get along… he, he's really nice" of course he was… he liked almost everything Lucas liked… he was the Italian version of the Lucas who was sitting in front of her.

Lucas didn't seem very convinced… I mean… the silence revealed "ok" he nodded when he realized he hadn't said a thing.

"So... what about you… any girlfriend I should meet?" Brooke said in a cheery tone, like always.

Lucas just looked at her… until he found the words to say… "yeah… but... uhmm… she's not here" he lied… there was no one.

"Really?" she said ironically, of course she wasn't here… or she would have already met her…

"I meant Tree Hill… " He chuckled… this was the first time Brooke had seen him laugh this night.

"And… who is she?" the brunette asked intrigued.

"Uhm" Lucas scratched his head… he always looked so hot when he did that "Her name is Lauren" he said… Lauren was a woman he met like a month ago, they went out on a real date but things didn't work out after the second date… shocking, huh?

"Wow… so everything is really good" she smiled "well I hope I can meet her someday, soon"

"Yeah… she… was with a lot of work… like loaded of it but, uhm… she wanted to meet all of you, too" God… he kept on lying and that wasn't good at all, right… it couldn't be… but hen again 'Lauren' couldn't come to Tree Hill and after the wedding Brooke was going back to Italy.

They talked a little bit more... about their lives and everything they've been through all these years… nothing to sentimental… just about work and well… Lucas wanted to know how Brooke had started her new life in a totally different country.

After a couple of minutes they realized that they had forgotten about coffee at all... so Brooke put some coffee on the stove and when it was hot enough they went back to the table.

After half an hour later they all decided to go back home… well David and Brooke to theirs and the other three to Karen's. They were all exhausted from the plane… but they would all have dinner together tomorrow, along with Jake and Peyton.

So that was all for tonight's chapterrr… god… it sucked right… I wasn't into the story at all today… but I promise I'll repair everything.. the next one is going to be really good with lots of Brucas.
