Kyles POV
Engaged.
Now one was surprised really. Everyone saw it coming. I did too. So why was I so upset?
Maybe it's because I was the one that was there for him every single time she broke his heart. Maybe it's because he's my super best friend that I secretly have feelings for.
But she makes Stan happy. I wish I could make him that happy. But now all I can do is be the best man. He said it would make him happy after all. Why does Stan always have to be difficult? We do everything together! Why can't he just return my feelings? It would make everything easy.
But he doesn't. I remember when I told him how I felt when we were 12. He let me down easily, but it still hurt. I'm just glad it didn't ruin our friendship. He always did love Wendy after all...
I guess I'm ok with him getting married to Wendy. But why did it have to be so soon? They got engaged 4 weeks ago and the wedding is today! What if they're rushing and Stan dumps her? Will that make me happy? No...They'll just get back together within a week or so.
I guess I just need to face facts. Stan is Wendy's. Stan's not even gay. Stan only thinks me as a friend...super best friends...
Wait...They're still talking. When will this end? It feels like it's been hours...
First Person
"And if anyone has an issue with this marriage, speak now, or forever hold your peace." Father Maxi said.
Kyles POV
Now's my chance! I can just tell Stan how I feel and see if he'll reconsider marrying Wendy! But...No. Wendy makes Stan happy. They belong together. I need to be brave. Let him go...
First Person
"Well, if there are no objections, Wendy Testaburger, do you take Stan Marsh as your husband?"
"I do."
"And Stan Marsh, do you take the lovely Wendy Testaburger as your wife?"
"I...I do." Stan said as he saw a tear run down his best mans cheek.
