I woke, squinting my eyes from the light.

"Athaera? Ath are you awake?" Panivey said. I looked around, still waiting for my eyes to agree with the light. I saw a tall figure then my eyes went clear. I looked up at vey, her eyes filled with tears.

"Yeah Vey, I am." I said, faintly. My voice was giving out and my head felt like it was going to explode with every move I made.

"Don't move." A voice said. I realized that I was in the 'first to your aid' center. "This might hurt." The nurse stuck a needle in my arm and I looked down at my arm. Black runes covered my arms and chest. And I didn't see my legs because of the blanket. The needle stung, but only lasted a minute. My head still pounded and I didn't want to move. I was scared to.

"Okay well tell me what happened." The nurse said looking at me, then Panivey.

"Well, we were in elwynn forest and some guy jumped on her. I ported us home and she ended up like this." Vey said.

"The guy, when he jumped on me he said something, But I couldn't tell what he said." I whispered. The nurse looked at me, with her eyes huge and looked at Panivey. The nurse waved a hand at Vey and they walked out of the room. I didn't know what to feel. Besides pain of course. But then I kept wondering,

"what are they talking about? What's going to happen to me? What did that elf say?"

Panivey and the nurse walked back in and she was crying her eyes out. I didn't know what to think.

"What's wrong Vey?" I asked. She just balled more. I wanted to cry too, but stopped. "What's wrong? What's going to happen to me?"

The nurse looked at me and what she said shocked me. "You're turning into a death knight."

I stopped. Life froze. Dead in its tracks.

I wanted to cry. And apparently couldn't stop myself from it.

"A death knight? That can't be that bad. Right?" I whimpered. The nurse led Vey into another room and came back in alone.

"Miss, this means you will have to train with death knights, and not be able to see your friends, unless you escape the Lich King. It is a matter of time before he comes to claim you. There is nothing I can do to reverse this."

Tears filled my eyes. Then I heard a loud roar, and the ground shook. I looked at the nurse and all she did was run into the room that Vey was in. I was alone in the room, when I saw a shadow outside the door. I knew it. I knew who it was.
