Chloroform II
The first thing he notices is how cold it is outside and that Kurt must've frozen like hell when he left earlier.
The second is the dark object on the ground that turns out to be Kurt's cellphone.
And, after a few moments of staring blankly at the phone, a third thought finds its way into Sam's head.
He always tells Marissa to avoid dark alleys at night – because his sister is fragile and small and cute and would have no chance to defend herself.
Kurt is delicate.
This is a rather dark narrow street.
It's almost midnight.
Sam shifts. Sudden chilliness makes him shiver.
