There he was, staring at her with his dark blue eyes. She couldn't detect any emotion in his eyes, the same eyes that had once looked at her with admiration and affection. Now they just stared straight ahead, as if reading into her soul. Even though she couldn't tell by the look in his eyes, he had to remember her. If he didn't…well she wouldn't be able to live with herself. She loved him, and she knew he loved her, well at least he did. He probably still loved her, but it was buried deep within him, that much she knew for sure. She looked up again only to have her eyes meet his. She couldn't stand being so close to him but still so far. Suddenly, as his eyes filled with emotion, he spoke. "An...Annabeth?" he said, his voice filled with uncertainty. At that moment something inside of her clicked. "He remembers me." She thought, as tears of joy raced down her cheeks. As she raced towards him she noticed everyone from Camp Half-Blood wearing looks of happiness on their faces. Reaching him, she hugged him as tight as possible, fearing that he would forget her again at any moment. She noticed as he slowly wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his face in the nape of her neck. "I love you Annabeth," he whispered into her ear. Smiling slightly she whispered back, "I love you too Percy Jackson."
Even though they were at war, and she knew that she could die at any moment, she knew she had been remembered.
