Hermione has had a good life, falling in love with Ron Weasley, great friends, and perfect grades. but everything starts to fall down hill, when Ron starts hitting her. So she turns to Fred and ends up with a surprise and it's not exactly a good one.

1. Surprise - Revised

Chapter 1

Surprises

I was sitting beneath a tree, the spring air still crisp, and the grass slick with morning dew. I knew I should be shivering from the early spring temperature. But, I didn't care, I couldn't feel it, I couldn't feel anything. Numb, all I felt was numb. How did this happen, this can'thappen. I was so lost in thought, I hadn't noticed the tears falling from my eyes. I thought I had nothing left to give, I had been crying so much already, my eyes were red and swollen.

I had a fractured wrist, cuts, and bruises all over me. From Ron's weekly, sometimes daily, bashes. He has a really bad temper, and takes it out on me. Every time I don't do something right, or when his anger gets out of control. It all has consequences. I don't know what happened to the Ron I fell in love with, the Ron that used to be so sweet and caring.

Sighing, I exhaled, my hot breath swirling into the air, "What do I do?"

"About what, Love?" I hadn't noticed Fred's steps growing near me as he sat down next to me, and placed a tender kiss to me temple.

I looked up at him, locking eyes, knowing it was now or never. "That I'm pregnant."

A/N: Why, hello, it's been almost 10 years that's I've left this story abandoned. I decided to try to get back to writing when I can, including revising my stories, and hopefully completing them.
