"I was thinking about letting Kurt give you a try," Rachel said with a slight smile on her face.
Puck raised his eyebrows at her wearily. "Uh?"
"Just kidding," Rachel laughed taking Puck's extended hand. Puck grasped her hand and pulled her to him roughly.
"I'm so getting you back for that," he whispered huskily in her ear.
Rachel laughed again and Puck felt her hot breath on his ear. "Kurt, you got this?"
"Oh honey you know it," Kurt said before walking off to the center of the room.
Rachel and Puck got into position and Puck was so glad that the tango was such a close dance. He felt her boobs pressed up against his chest and mentally did a happy dance, a very badass happy dance. "So, I take it you weren't a teacher's pet?" Rachel asked while Kurt was helping everyone get into position.
"Nope, I was a badass," Puck told her simply.
"Ah, the typical bad boy," Rachel said trying to hold back a laugh.
"What? You don't think I was a badass?"
"Oh no, I figured that out the first day I saw you."
"So, you were checking me out last week, huh?" Puck questioned with a smirk.
Rachel felt her cheeks warm for a third time that night. Damn, he needs to stop that. "Maybe I did, but I was talking about the time I met you and Finn at the sorority house."
"Ahh," Puck started to say, but was cut off by Kurt clapping his hands.
"Okay boys, grab your beautiful partner's hand and place your other hand on her back. As Rachel said this is a close and intimate dance. Boys, you will be leading, and this is a very serious job, because if you can't lead, then you'll end up stepping on some very fantastic looking shoes," Kurt said looking around at all the women's shoes. "Okay some not so fantastic," he murmured under his breath. Rachel laughed from across the room knowing exactly what Kurt was saying to himself.
"What's so funny?" Puck asked.
"Oh nothing, you just better not step on my shoes," Rachel said in a mock-serious voice.
Puck opened his mouth to speak, but was again cut off by Kurt clapping his hands and saying that they would begin with the music. "I'm starting to think he doesn't want me to talk," Puck said looking over to Kurt.
"He is that way with some guys," Rachel pointed out. The music started to play and Puck felt Rachel straighten up. "Just start off slow," Rachel almost whispered to Puck.
"Walk, Walk, Tan, Go, Close," Kurt counted off to the music. "Walk, Walk, Tan, Go, Close," he repeated.
Puck started off slow like Rachel had told them, but soon got bored with how slow Kurt was counting. He pulled Rachel closer to him, and smirked when he heard her gasp. He started to speed up their dance, and whispered, "Just go with it," in her ear. Puck danced them into the middle of the dance floor and spun Rachel out. She posed dramatically before Puck pulled her back to him. She ended up with her back to his chest, and she couldn't ignore the feeling in her stomach when she felt his abs. Damn he sure works out. She felt his hands move to her hips, as he tried to pull her closer. She smirked as she slightly ground her hips into his, and heard him groan in her ear.
Two can play at that game, Puck thought to himself. He started to breathe on her neck, and blew on her ear when he heard her mutter something. "What was that?" he whispered.
"Nothing," she said gritting her teeth. She turned herself around in his arms, and started to lead the tango. Puck tilted his head to the side. "What? Don't like a woman who can take charge?"
"I have no problem with it," Puck said as he spun her out again. This time Rachel made sure she spun back correctly. She smiled when she raised her leg up Puck's. Puck dipped her, and Rachel pointed her leg for a theatrical effect. Suddenly the music stopped, and Puck thanked his years of football for not dropping Rachel. He pulled her up with a little more force than necessary.
"Kurt?" Rachel questioned still in Puck's arms. Kurt just looked at her and Puck before looking at the chairs on the side of the room. Rachel got his meaning and grabbed Puck's hand to pull him over to the chairs. Neither of them tried to hide the shock that they felt when their hands connected. They got over to the chairs and sat down. Rachel gave Kurt a look that said happy? Kurt gave her a look back that said very! before turning the music back on.
"He really doesn't like me now, does he?" Puck questioned.
"He is just being Kurt," Rachel sighed.
"So, you were saying you remembered the sorority house?"
"Yes. I was trying to remember where I had seen you before, and then I remembered you were the "badass" that came to get Quinn," she explained.
"Yup, that was me," he told her. "You know Quinn practically screamed when she saw that you were coming to the wedding."
"Ah, Q," Rachel said shaking her head. "She was always a screamer."
"Way more than I ever needed to know," Puck almost yelled while trying to get the image out of his head.
"Oh shut up. That was not how I meant it," she rolled her eyes and pushed him.
"God, she is like my sister. I think I need to go burn my eyes," Puck said cringing.
"Ugh," Rachel groaned. "Have you ever been with Quinn when she is drunk?"
"Yeah," Puck said raising his eyebrows.
"I mean like really, really drunk?" Rachel asked.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Puck asked getting confused.
"Obviously not. Okay one night in college Quinn and I decided to go out and celebrate," Rachel started.
"Celebrating what?"
"I got the lead in a play," Rachel answered him. "Anyway, so we decided to go to a bar and get some drinks. Well fast forward, and Quinn decided she wanted to sing, and she didn't care that it wasn't karaoke night. So, she got up on the bar and started to belt out anything she could think of. Anyhow, when Quinn is extremely drunk, her singing is more like screaming," Rachel explained. Puck burst out laughing finally getting Rachel's point. "Needless to say we got kicked out of the bar pretty quickly, and really weren't allowed back."
"Oh Q is so being tortured with this," Puck chuckled.
"I thought she didn't know about the lessons?"
"Ugh, Finn and his stupid rhythmlessness," Puck sighed.
"That's not a word," Rachel informed him.
"You have seen him dance right?" Puck asked looking over at Finn.
Rachel followed his gaze and laughed. "Okay, rhythmlessness is now a word."
Kurt finally ended the lesson with a clap of his hands. Finn walked over to Puck and Rachel. "Hey Rachel."
"Hi Finn," Rachel said with a smile on her face.
"So, I just wanted to let you know that Quinn is going to be inviting you to her bachelorette party."
"Yay," Rachel practically screamed. "It will be just like college."
"Just don't let Quinn near a microphone," Puck commented under his breath.
"Anyway, I just wanted to ask that you don't mention the lessons."
"Of course," Rachel said standing up. "Don't worry, she will never know. Now if you will excuse me, I can see that Kurt wants to talk. Good night Finn. Puck," she said with a slight smile. They waved goodbye before leaving the building.
"So missy," Kurt said linking arms with Rachel, "what was that sexy dance about?"
