So, this chapter is very short. I know, I know. I'm sorry. It would be longer, but I wanted to it to end where it did. So read and review :)
And I have forgotten to put the disclaimer on the other chapters. So, in no way do I own Glee because if I did Puckelberry would be together already!
"This is your house?" Rachel asked as they walked out of the elevator into Puck's house. Her mouth opened as she looked around. The house had a spacious open kitchen and living room. She looked to her left to see a hallway that she figured lead to the bedrooms. She turned to her right and saw a door that lead to a room.
"I'm guessing you like it?" he asked as he pushed her father into the house.
"Like it? She asked looking back at him. "It's like 10 times the size of my apartment. I love it."
"Well then you will just have to come visit," he said with a smile. "I'm going to find you some clothes to change into. Just make yourself at home," he told her as he made his way down the hallway to her left. Rachel kicked off her shoes and walked into the living room. She took in the plasma television that hung on the wall, with the brick fireplace underneath it. She looked over his extensive DVD and CD collection. "They may be a little big," she heard Puck say coming down the hall. She turned to face the direction of his voice, "But I think it will be more comfortable than what you are wearing," he said coming in the room as he held up a t-shirt and pair of shorts.
"Is there something wrong with my clothes?" Rachel asked with a laugh.
"There is nothing wrong with your clothes," Puck said as he clearly looked her up and down. "But anyway, bathroom's second door on your right."
Rachel nodded and walked to the bathroom. As she locked the door behind her, she looked in the mirror. "Wow," she said aloud. Her mascara and eyeliner had run down her face, and was wiped around her eyes when she had wiped her tears. Her hair was now flat on one side of her head. As Kurt would say she looked like a hot mess. She sat down on the side of the tub and unzipped her boots. Once they were finally off she wiggled her toes to get her blood flowing again. She quickly changed and threw her hair into a messy ponytail. She walked back into the living room to see Puck sitting on the couch wearing a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. He hadn't noticed her yet, so she went to set her clothes by her shoes.
Puck heard Rachel set her clothes down and looked her way. His mouth hung open for a second when he saw her in his clothes. She looked so good in them and Puck wondered what they would look like tossed on his bedroom floor. Or his living room floor. He wasn't picky. He pulled out of his daydream to see Rachel standing in front of him. "Sorry, what?" he asked.
"I was just wondering if you were going to stay awake?"
"Uh probably not," he told her.
"Did you want to?"
"After everything today, I think I just want to sleep forever," she told him.
"Well then I better show you to your bed, Sleeping Beauty," Puck said getting off the couch. Rachel felt the blush on her cheeks as she followed Puck to the guest bedroom. Puck opened the door to the guest bedroom. Rachel walked in and saw a picturesque room. The walls were painted a calming blue color, that went nicely with the white bedspread. The bed was a queen size bed, with about a million pillows. There was a small dark wood dresser on one side of the room, with a large mirror hanging above it. In front of the bed there was an armoire, which Rachel assumed held a television.
"Did you decorate this room?" she asked with a knowing look.
"Maybe," Puck told her. Rachel gave him a look of disbelief. "Okay, Quinn may have helped a bit."
"A bit," she questioned.
"Okay so she picked out the paint, pillows, comforter, and dresser, but I hung the mirror," he told her proudly.
"The mirror looks very sturdy," she laughed.
"Thank you," Puck said as he walked over to the armoire. "The TV is in here," he said opening it up to reveal the television. "Remote should be on the dresser." Rachel looked over and saw the black remote laying on top of the dresser. "If you need anything I'll be right across the hall," he told her as he turned to leave.
"Puck," Rachel said when he was almost out the door.
"Need something already?" he teased turning around. Rachel looked up from the ground. "Rach," he said coming up to her.
"Thank you," she whispered before pulling him into a hug. Puck rubbed her back when he felt a tiny amount of water collect on his shirt.
"Of course," he told her quietly as he hugged her tighter. Rachel pulled out of the hug and wiped her eyes. "Just come get me if you need anything," Puck said squeezing her hand. "I mean it."
"I will, thank you again," Rachel told him.
Rachel watched Puck walk out of the room and close the door. She looked around the room once more before getting into the bed. Looking up at the ceiling, she wanted to just fall asleep and forget that today had happened. Well not everything that happened today was bad, Rachel said thought to herself. I mean you had a somewhat date with Puck, you reconnected with Quinn, and you got back onstage. If only Scott didn't have to ruin the night. She turned off her mind and let herself fall asleep.
Rachel walked around the darkened room wondering where she was. "Bitch," she heard someone say. She quickly turned around her to who said that. "Slut," she heard the voice again.
"Who's there?" she asked the darkness while feeling around.
"Whore," someone whispered in her ear. Rachel turned around quickly to see Scott standing there.
"Scott," she whimpered as she tried to back up, but she tripped over her feet.
"Oh babe, are you okay?" Scott said concerned as he knelt down to Rachel. Rachel just looked up at him confused. Suddenly, he grabbed her wrist tightly. "So, who did you sleep with tonight?"
"Please let go," Rachel pleaded.
"Not until you tell me who?" Scott yelled while pushing her so she was laying on the floor.
"Scott, leave me alone," Rachel said looking into his eyes.
"You don't tell me what to do!" he yelled as he held her down.
"NO!" she screamed.
Puck stirred from his dream when he heard screaming from the other room. He sat up slowly, rubbing his eyes when he heard someone scream no again. Remembering that Rachel was sleeping in the guest room, he quickly got up and ran into the guest bedroom. He looked on as she trashed and turned all around the bed. "No!" she screamed again. Puck ran to her side, and tried to grab one of her arms.
"Rachel, wake up," he said trying to wake her up. "Come on Rach. It's a nightmare," he said again as he caressed her face. "Babe wake up, and you'll be okay."
Rachel felt someone grab her arm, so she tried to fight them off. She looked up into Scott's eyes and saw them darken. Using her free arm, she pulled back and punched him the face as hard as she could.
In trying to wake her up, Puck didn't notice Rachel pulling her arm back until it was too late. Her fist came barreling towards his face and landed right below his left eye. As he fell back, he let go of her arm. "Shit, Rach," he said from his spot on the floor.
Rachel felt her fist connect with something, but when she looked back to where Scott had been, he had disappeared. Then suddenly she heard a familiar voice. "Shit, Rach." She tried putting the voice to a face when she felt herself coming out of her dream.
Slowly, she opened her eyes and sat up. She looked around her room to see Puck on the ground. "What are you doing down there?" she asked confused. Looking at him closer, she saw that his eye was starting to swell and turn black and blue. "What happened to your eye?" she asked as she got out of the bed to further inspect it.
Puck chuckled before answering, "You happened.""What?" Rachel asked baffled. "I did that to you?"
"You were having a dream…well I think it was a nightmare, and you were screaming. I heard your screams, so I came in and tried to wake you. That's when you punched me," he explained as her hand flew to her mouth.
"Oh…I'm so sorry," she told him as she gently touched his eye.
"It's fine, Rach. But you gotta tell me where you learned to throw a punch like that."
Rachel laughed. "Of course that's what you would want to know. After everything with Scott, my dads and Quinn suggested I enroll in a self defense class. I took all of them and was at the top of my class. I also box regularly."
"Damn," Puck said touching his eye. "So, what was your dream about?"
Rachel's eyes instantly closed as she remembered her dream. "Scott," she whispered.
"Well, why don't we get off the floor and you can tell me about it?" he asked as he extended his hand to her. She just nodded her head as she let him pull her up. He led her over to the bed, where he laid down and pulled her next to him. "Do you want to tell me about it?"
Rachel laid quiet for a few minutes. "Yes…no…I don't know," she told him. Puck just pulled her closer. "I was walking through a dark room when I heard someone say whore and slut. I freaked out and when I turned around Scott was there. I tripped over my feet and he acted all caring, but then he went crazy and asked me who I slept with. He wouldn't let me go and then he pushed me to the floor and wouldn't let me up. When I felt someone grab my arm, I panicked and punched. I guess that someone was you. Again I'm sorry," she explained looking up at him.
"You have nothing to be sorry about," Puck whispered to her. "I mean it really comes all back to me anyway.""What?" Rachel asked confused as she sat up to look at him.
"I mean if I hadn't asked you out, then you wouldn't have been there tonight when Scott was there."
"Scott is not your fault. What he did in the past and tonight was all him. Besides like you said this is a perfect way to end our first date."
"Do you always end up in bed on the first date?" he asked with a smirk.
She smacked his chest. "No, Puck I do not put out on the first date."
"Good," Puck whispered and Rachel could feel his breath on her skin. "Do you kiss on the first date?" he asked quietly.
Rachel turned to face him. "I think I can make an exception for you," she told him with a smirk that could've matched his own. Puck slowly reached down to caress her cheek. He leaned down as her eyes flicked to his lips. They flicked back to his eyes when she moved her head closer to her. There lips met and Rachel felt an instant warmth flow through her body. Puck's kiss was gentle and soft. His hand moved to her hair as hers went to his chest. The kiss was short and sweet, and ended too soon for Rachel. Puck rested his forehead on hers.
"I'm glad you made the exception," he told her.
"Me too," she said looking into his eyes.
They both stayed quiet for a while, until Puck started to move. "I should probably let you go back to sleep, you have your day with Quinn tomorrow and I know how exhausting she can be."
Rachel watched as Puck started to get out of the bed. Quickly, she grabbed his wrist. "Stay?" she asked when he looked down at her. "Please?"
Puck sat back down on the bed. "Are you sure?"
Rachel just nodded and got back under the covers. She looked back up at him and then to the spot next to her. Puck just shook his head and got under the covers. Rachel turned so her back was pressed on his chest. Puck cautiously placed his arm around her waist and laid his head on the pillow. They stayed quiet and Puck tightened his grip around her waist when he heard her breathing even out. It was then that he let himself fall asleep.
She knocked on the door for the third time. Without an answer, she reached above the door frame for the extra key. She unlocked the door and walked in. The house was dark, so she assumed that he was asleep. She walked to the guest bedroom and opened the door. "NOAH PUCKERMAN!"
Aw a Puckelberry kiss! And who is coming into Puck's house?
And I have a question for anyone. Has Puck ever actually called Rachel, Berry? And if so what episode?
Review please :)
