Author's Note: I was really excited about writing this chapter so I wrote this right after Chapter One! I'm not eager or anything.. ;). Review! Enjoy! PM if there is any questions you want answering! * I don't own any of the Twilight Characters, Stephanie Meyer does.*
Chapter Two: Starting A New Life.
Today is my 100th birthday, something not many humans live to celebrate. I, on the other hand have an eternity of birthdays to look forward to. For the better part of my century as a vampire, I lived in Phoenix. Risky, I know. People that saw me missing could recognize me or someone might see me in the sun and that would ruin my plans of being inconspicuous.
Not that anyone would recognize me now anyway. Firstly, all the people I knew are now dead, it was unbelievably hard not to go see them and tell them I'm alive after I went 'missing' but I could of put them in danger with my newborn bloodlust. If I would of hurt them, I'd of never been able to look at myself without feeling self hatred.
Secondly, I look completley different. My boring brown hair has now been transformed into rich mahogany curls that reach halfway down my back. My dull brown eyes have changed to a soft topaz colour that seem to draw people into them. My once babyish features are now refined and chiseled like I'm made out of the palest, smoothest marble. I have shell pink lips that hide gleaming white teeth. I'm what the teenager boys call stunning.
In my 50 years of living in Phoenix as a vampire I kept to the shadows, watching my friends and family grow old, watching them suffer with remorse and turmoil when I became a missing teenager. I've decided to move on now. Move somewhere permenatley, find some friends, make a new family and get over my self loathing.
So, I can't regret my decisions to move to Forks. The wettest place in the Continental US; always covered in rain clouds. Perfect for vampires. The sun barely shines in Forks which leaves me free to go to school and college without the worry of exposing us, the cold ones to the pale faces.
Phil was a rich person. He owned many cars such as a blood red Porsche and a black Volvo, a considerable amount of houses scattered around America and large sums of money which he transferred to my 'college fund' account.
Soon after my relatives died, I withdrew all the money from my account, settled in a convientley located mansion in Forks and claimed both cars for my own personal use.
On Monday, I start Forks High School. Purgatory. But necessary to fit in.
To stop my bloodlust, I hunted on Sunday night. Feeding on large prey such as Grizzlys and Mountain Lion. These are my favourites and keep me filled for longer.
I've told you about my previous life and what has happened I will return to the present.
Bring on the burn for tomorrow. I laughed dryly at my own joke.
Tomorrow would be hell.
