Chapter Three: First Day Of Forks High School.

My clock read 8:00am. I sighed and put down the book I was so enthralled in for the past 3 hours. Since I am not able to sleep, I have to find things to pass the time with and reading is my obsession. Apart from hunting, I added dryly.

I gracefully made my way over to my dark oak wardrobe and opened the door. I considered a few outfits and argued mentally with myself about what would look best. I eventually decided on a black pencil skirt that finished mid thigh, a cream collared top, matching black heels and a curve fitting black jumper. I quickly brought a comb through my hair and looked at myself in the mirror. Not bad. My hair shimmered with hints of red and the curls waved loosely down my back. Believe me, I'm not vain. But I do look beautiful. All part of our trap to lure in our prey.

I sped down to the kitchen at vampire speed and then stopped. I have to keep reminding myself that I no longer eat human food. Old habits die hard. I grabbed my black over the shoulder bag and dug around my handbag until I found my keys. Red Porsche or black Volvo.. Decisions, decisions.

Red Porsche.

I locked up the house and opened up the garage. My beauty was waiting for me, I stroked the hood and hopped in. I was meant to be at school for 9:00am but I decided to get there early to avoid unwanted attention.

I had the need for speed so I travelled 100mph and slowed down as I was getting closer to school. As I pulled up through the school gates I noticed the lack of expensive cars. I mentally slapped myself. So much for being inconspicious. A bright red Porsche in the parking lot of a crumbly school. Smart move, Swan. I pulled into a car parking space and took a deep breath. It's now or never, Bella. I can do this, I can do this. I quickly looked up and scanned the parking lot. A lot of heads were turned towards me, wondering what the owner of the car looked like. I noticed a silver Volvo parked a few spaces away. At least I'm not the only one with money. I smiled at my own joke and stepped out of the car.

All eyes were on me then. I should of known. A quiet town, middle paid parents sending their generically boring children to school. A inhumanely beautiful girl shows up in a Red Porsche. 'Flippin conspicious, Swan!

I locked up my car and turned to see who was staring. Groups of girls were whispering and stealing glances at me. I rolled my eyes. Unfornutatley for them, I can read minds. Every bitchy comment and image that passes through their head, I can see.

Oh Em Gee! She's hot! Damn! Hotter than the Cullens for sure! Wonder if their related, same coloured eyes.. thought a guy standing near his truck.

Same coloured eyes as me.. Then the scent hit me, a delicious scent. Lavender, sun, pine, sugar. All different scents. Vampire scents. Crap! There are vampires here? Your kidding me! I internally groaned but dazzled the boys staring at me with a million dollar smile. Still got your game, Swan. I laughed out loud, it sounded like a soft ringing of bells and sent the boys lusting after me even more.

Relax Bella, their vegetarians like you. Chill.

I gracefully walked up the steps into the main office to collect my map and schedule. A ginger haired woman was working at a desk, signing forms by the looks of it. Her purple top clashed with her hair and made me shiver. She looked up with a comically shocked expression.

" Hello, Mrs Cope. I'm Bella Swan, the new girl. I've come to collect my map and timetable for today" I shot her my smile that puts most people at ease.

Wow, certainely a stunner. She looks like one of the Cullens, she'll certainley be breaking a few hearts. She thought.

The Cullens are well known here, wonder when they started..

" Oh yes, dear! Here you are and have a wonderful day at Forks High School." Mrs Cope said as she passed me the papers. Indeed I shall.

I quickly glanced at the map and remembered it in an instance. Being a vampire has it's good points.. I gave Mrs Cope a thankful nod and headed out of the office into the corridor. I sighed and leant against the wall letting the different scents of unsuspecting humans assault my senses. Purgatory.

To distract myself from curious eyes, I covered my face up with the timetable and checked what lessons I had today.

Monday

P1- French, Mrs Gotham.

P2- Biology, Mr Banner.

P3- World History, Miss Ludlam.

P4- Gym, Mr Trainer.

P5- Spanish, Mrs Goff.

I internally screamed when I read the word Gym. Gym has never been my strong point even if I have unparrell senses, sharp wits and unbelievable speed and strength. It still bores me to death. I had to smile at that one. I could never die from Gym. Ever.

A fake cough brought me out of my mental thoughts. I looked up and saw a lusting boy. He had the appearances of an overweight golden retriever.

Wonder if she'll go out with me? Bet she can't resist me! I'm way too sexy for my own good! Unfornuatley, I couldn't help but laugh. It echoed through the corridor and I quickly started coughing to cover it up.

" Hey Isabella Swan! I've heard lots about you, I'm Mike. Mike Newton. Lunch date, tour guide and anything else you want me to be!" He winked at this point and I had to hold back a shiver of digust. Ew.

He held out his hand for me to shake, but my cold skin would soon repel him away, so I simply smiled instead.

" It's Bella, nice to meet you too, Mike." I said in my musical voice.

Just as he opened his mouth to talk the bell went. Saved by the bell. How ironic.

I skipped gracefully to my first lesson and immediately sat down at the back, I'm not one for introductions or standing up infront of the class. I got out my notebook ready to take notes but sighed when Mrs Gotham was teaching something I'd already learnt before, I leaned back in my chair and flitted through people's minds trying to find anyone with interesting thoughts.

Who does she think she is? Walking in here, stealing MY man, Mike! How dare her! I mean, she's not even that pretty! shouted the thoughts of a particulary bitchy Jessica Stanley. I looked towards her and noticed she was giving me daggers. I give her a dazzling smile just to get on her nerves. I'm cruel.

After a very tedious lesson, the bell for second lesson rang. I gathered my things and in one swift move I was out of the door before anyone else.

Unfortunatley, Biology was something I had already studied and nobody was next to me to distract me from this monotone person, they somehow call a teacher.

The bell for lunch signalled and I let out a sigh. A time I used to enjoy as a human and now is an extremeley taunting task. The familiar prick of pain entered my eyes and I quickly blinked away, that's the closest I'll ever get to crying.

I sauntered to the canteen and slowly opened the door. Pratically the entire student population turned to stare. Dammit. I shyly smiled and made my way over to the lunch line. I felt 5 gazes boring into my back and I slowly turned around to see who was looking.

That's when I spotted them. 5 of them. 5 vampires. Each one of their faces was a mask of curiousity, happiness and shock. I decided to use my dazzling smile to show I was being friendly.

Each one slowly but surely grinned back at me, their smiles just as dazzling and as beautiful as their faces.

Today just got better.
