"Are you scared?"Embry, who wasn't in his normal beyond arms length distance away from me looked at me intensely. My head swiveled over to his direction. It was cute, how he would even think that I would be afraid.

"Why should I be? I'm Leah remember? Fuck Fear?" I reminded him. He sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

"Are you sure? Nahuel isn't like the rest of the vampires. We don't know anything about him besides the fact that he is creepy and delusional that he could get any relationship with you,"He crossed his arms over his tightly over his chest, his face was slightly angry when he uttered the latter part of his comment. When did Call get so huffy and puffy?

"Why would I be scared of an old, overgrown Nessie with a penis. Trust me I'll be fine tomorrow. You, Seth and Jake quit your worrying okay? It's giving me a headache. So seriously knock it off," I rubbed my temples. Embry sucked his teeth and grunted. What was with him lately.

"Its our job to worry about you Leah,"He smiled at me melting away the strange hard expression he wore earlier. "Seth's your brother, naturally he wants to protect his sister. Jacob whether or not cares for you, you're his beta!" Well he did have a point there. He looked down at his shoes quietly. "And I guess...I care for you too," He said the latter part quickly and softly. But I heard him, I smirked at that.

"Aww Bry cares for little old me?" I pinched his cheeks, he slapped my hands away when I tried to do it again he grabbed me by the wrist. "I thought you hated me. You know because all the stuff about you dad-" He shook his head and tightened his grip on me,but sure not to hurt me. As if he could hurt me!

"I held it against you at first, but I knew you were just lashing out because of all the shitty things that happened in your life at the time. If I did hate you I wouldn't have joined Jake's pack knowing that you got to be the boss of me."

"I guess that is good to hear, I mean I don't actually hate you either," I admitted weasling out of his grip slowly.

"Of course you don't look at this face," He pointed to his face and made a puppy eyed duck face. I laughed and slapped his shoulder.

"Why would I do such a thing? I'd like to keep my lunch, thank you very much,"I joked. He rolled his eyes with a smile. Then he got serious again.

"Don't pop off tomorrow okay, rash decisions is something we can't afford." I rolled my eyes again, it seemed like he should be following his own advice the way he and the rest of the pack reacted. I got up to go to the kitchen and grabbed two beers out of the refrigerator. I offered him one and he gave me a weird look.

"Really Leah? Offering alcohol to minors?" He took the beer out of my hand.

"When have I obeyed the law when it comes to alcoholic drinks, besides my mom is shagging the only cop around here, I'm off the hook,"I shrugged and took a sip. Damn it tasted like crap, but I knew it would do the job. I was surprised to see Mr. Goody Two Shoes drinking. I turned the channel.

'Tonight on Shark Week: Vacation from hell."

"Really Leah? Violent shark attacks?" Embry winced at the man being mauled by a huge shark. He was such a wuss, is this the same guy who was ready to kick some ass only a while ago?

"Its either this or a chick flick of my choice," I smiled at him. "Pick your poison,"Oh yeah I knew I just had his ass. Embry looked me up and down with a smirk. Why was he smirking.

"Chick flick of course Leah,"he rolled his eyes as if it was the most sensible thing a boy could pick.

"Fine we're watching Pretty Woman."
