A/N I am back, I started a new story but I felt guilty about not finishing this one. I can do two stories at once right? I had a few chapters written for this story but lost them when changing computer and was too annoyed to start again.

Disclaimer: If I owned Resident Evil I would make Jill and Chris partners forever. As well as Jake and Sherry, they better show up again.

Jill sat up suddenly as she felt a chill creep down her spine, something was wrong, something was very, very wrong. Jill reached for her handgun that she had placed on the table and turned on the table lamp.

Looking around she saw that the room was empty but she could not get rid of the feeling of dread that was hanging over here. Suddenly there was a knock on her door, Jill jumped up from her bed pointing the gun at the door,

Knock, knock.

She gulped as she reached for the door, her gun was aimed professionally at the door she turned the doorknob slightly and then she heard it, a scream from the other side of the door. A growl emitted from whatever was at the door and she heard footsteps flee down the hall. Jill grabbed the door and swung it open to see a woman, who she presumed to be the cleaner standing clutching her chest a few doors away.

'Excuse me?' Jill asked raising her gun to her shoulder, 'What was it that you saw? Please,' she pleaded with the woman who was shaking her head and sobbing, 'What did you see?'

The woman still didn't speak but began sobbing,

'Jill!' A voice exclaimed, Jill looked up to see the group running towards her Chris in front.

'Are you okay?' Chris asked,

'We heard voices.' Sherry said looking around the scene.

'What just a minute.' Leon barked, 'You two came out of the same room.'

Silence fell and Jill looked from Sherry to Jake, their guilty faces said it all. Jake shrugged and put his hand on Sherry's shoulder.

'Well the cats out of the bag now.' He said calmly. Claire put a palm to her forehead as Leon looked furious,

'The cat is not out of any bag, there is no bag.' He said, this caused Sherry to smile. Amongst all the terror and confusion as to what was going on, it was nice to feel that they were all this close family still.

'Back to the situation at hand I think.' Chris said, turning around to talk to the woman, he saw that she was gone, 'Did anyone see where she went?' Chris asked.

'Let's split up,' Jill said,

'And what, search for clues?' Jake added sarcastically causing the brunette to glare at him.

'Now's not the time.'

'Whatever, I'd rather just get back to bed, me and Sherry were kind of busy you know.'

Claire grabbed Leon and pulled him down a corridor before the man could complain anymore, she didn't much like the idea of Sherry growing up either, but that is what little girls do, they grow up.

Chris went with Sherry, knowing that will satisfy Leon and Jill went with Jake.

'So…' Jill started as they began searching the room that the woman was standing out off, 'how did that happen.'

'I was horny and so was she.' Jake stated picking through a desk that held nothing but old papers, none of them seemed relevant, just old newspaper articles about the town. Jill scoffed, she should have known that she wouldn't have got a decent answer out of him.

'I am worried about all this.' Jill said, 'It doesn't seem right.'

'It never does.' Jake said, Jill had to agree with him there, she shone the flashlight around the room, hoping to spot something.

'Wait a minute.' Jill said as she saw a picture sitting on the far side of the room, she walked over towards it and examined it, 'It can't be.'

In the picture was Jessica and Wesker, the pair were casually sitting on a leather sofa with wine glasses in their hands, Jill knew that they had known each other but not to this extent.

'Anything interesting?' Jake called, Jill hesitated before answering,

'No,' she replied as she pocketed the picture, 'Nothing at all.'

'It doesn't make any sense.' Claire muttered. The four oldest members were currently sitting in Jill's room discussing the photo. An hour had passed since Jill had found it and subsequently no one else had found anything else that was of any interest.

Jake and Sherry had retired for the night, Leon making sure that each person went to their own rooms, and was about to retire himself until Claire dragged him into Jill's room for a talk.

'I know,' Leon said, 'Why Sherry would chose him?' Claire frowned at the man, seriously? Is this all he can think about at the moment?

'Quiet.' Claire muttered,

'We all knew that Jessica was still out there Jill.' Chris said pouring everyone a glass of wine.

'I know that, and we all knew she had ties to Wesker, but never romantic ones.' Jill said taking the glass from Chris's hand.

'Do you think she is out for revenge?' Leon asked

'I think there are lots of Wesker's minions out for revenge.' Chris said, 'I mean there must be.'

Jill sighed and took a swing of her drink, the worry and feeling of dread just was not lifting.

'What do you think they are after?' Claire asked, 'Jake? Sherry?'

'I'm going to have to say Jake.' Jill concluded, 'they seemed every interested in him back at the warehouse, trying to find out what can unhinge him.' Jill shivered at the thought of another Nemesis returning. Chris put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

'Right!' Claire declared bursting into action, 'We just have to keep trying to find out what the fuck is going on.'

'Powerful words there.' Leon smirked causing the redhead to glare at him,

'Everything is getting too serious around here.' Chris said sitting back in his chair. Jill put her head down and closed her eyes, Chris frowned at the woman, and the stress seemed to be getting to her. What happened back at the warehouse must have been more than she could handle at the minute.

'So tomorrow we move out.' Claire announced, 'I believe we should check Umbrella's old lab, just North West from here a few miles.'

'Forty miles is not a few miles,' Leon corrected her causing Claire to throw a newspaper article at him.

'Shall we tell the lovebirds that we will be leaving in the morning?' Leon suggested, pretending that he had not been hit up the face,

'Leave it to morning.' Jill said, 'They need their rest as we do.'

A/N I know that chappie was short, But I am just easing back into it. Thinking about where this plot is going to go, but fear not I am back!
