I'm just gonna reply to some of the reviews I got from last chapter right here, so yeah...
randomkitty101- I like your ideas. I think I'll use one. Not telling which though, you'll just have to find out. :P
KrystalArtGirl- I'm thinking about adding in more YJ characters as the story progresses. I just have to get past this part first. ;)
Interdimensional- That's a really great idea. I think I'll just borrow that for future chapters. Thanks for the suggestion. :D
DISCLAIMER: Guess who owns Young Justice? Not me! I wish. I don't think anyone owns reality either, but whatever.
"Is the show over yet?" Gray called from the top of the stairs.
"Yeah, no worries." I replied as I shut the T.V off, standing up from the couch and walking
upstairs.
"I like your room." Gray said as I led him in. It was bland, with white walls and a purple bedspread. There was a desk off to one side and a bookshelf on the wall with the door. The giant bed took up most of the room. It was a gift from my grandmother, so I was stuck with it. There were posters everywhere, ranging from the Avengers to Teen Titans. Of course, there were a few Young Justice posters, and I fervently hoped Gray didn't notice them. Sadly, he did. "Nice posters." he remarked slyly.
"shut up." I blushed furiously, embarrassed. "Shit! I have school tomorrow!"
"What, did you forget to do your homework?" Gray asked.
"No, it's not that. It's just that, I told my mom that we were school friends, and if you don't go to school tomorrow..."
"Oh, right. That's a problem."
"No shit, sherlock." I replied wryly. "On top of that, I need to take you shopping."
"What?!"
I dragged Gray through Downtown, hoping he didn't look too weird wearing a girl's clothing. We didn't get to many strange looks though, so I figured we were okay. I had asked my mom earlier if I could take Gray shopping, and she had said yes.
Flashback
"Hey Mom, I need to take Gr-Bryce shopping." I called upstairs to my mom.
"Okay." She called back down. I grabbed her credit card and dragged Gray out of the house.
"Your mom lets you use her credit card?!" Gray asked incredulously as I yanked him outside.
"Yeah. See, the advantage of living in a tiny town is that everyone knows everyone else. My family in particular has been here forever. We know everyone, so I'm trusted." I explained quickly.
"Oh." Was his only reply.
End Flashback
"So, where to first?" I asked rhetorically, considering Gray had never been here before.
"How should I know?" He replied hotly.
"It was a rhetorical question." I frowned. Just then, I spotted a store that looked promising. I dragged Gray inside. A few hours later, I had amassed a collection of about 6 pairs of jeans, and 4 hoodies. Gray was holding some shirts and a new pair of sneakers, along with a bunch of socks. We slowly trudged back to my house and collapsed on the couch.
"Well, that was productive." Gray stated.
"No shit, Sherlock." I smiled back. We then turned on the TV, careful to stay off Cartoon Network, and watched for a while.
"So, how was your guys' shopping trip?" My mom asked as she walked down the stairs.
"Fine." I called back, eyes still locked on the TV screen.
"Did you finish your homework for school tomorrow?" My eyes widened in realization.
"Shit!" I ran as fast a I possibly could upstairs into my room. I collapsed into my desk chair and began my homework, my fingers moving furiously across the keyboard as I scrambled to finish an essay. A half hour later, I sat back in my chair and sighed. All done.
"Sooo... Sapphire, you done with your homework yet?" I felt Gray sneak up behind me, laying his hands on my shoulders.
"Yeah. And wait, when did you figure out my name?" I craned my neck upwards to see his upside-down face smirking down at me, blue eyes twinkling.
"Well, since you were rude enough not to tell me, I figured it out when your mom yelled at you one time." He replied.
"Oh." I stood and walked around Gray, falling onto my bed.
"Yup. So, how are we going to get me in school by tomorrow?" Gray asked, sitting down next to me. I shot up in surprise.
"Right! I forgot about that. Can you enroll yourself? I mean, you are a computer genius, right?" I looked at him worriedly.
"Of course. Can I have your computer?" Gray made grabby hands at my laptop, which I snatched off the desk and clutched to my chest protectively for a moment before handing it reluctantly off to him.
"Hurt my baby and I will stab you repeatedly." I warned. Gray smirked and nodded before settling down with my computer. I saw his fingers flash over the keys at the speed of light as he enrolled himself in my school.
"So, what should I put my name as?" He asked distractedly.
"Well, Bryce something, obviously." I replied.
"Umm... well, how about Bryce Wayne?" Gray asked.
"Sure, why not? It's not like anyone is actually going to guess that you're Richard Grayson, ward of Bruce Wayne, A.K.A Batman." I answered, grinning. A sudden thought dawned on me. "Wait, what am I going to tell everyone if you just suddenly appear in the school system as if you've always been there?"
"Umm... good question. We could tell the staff that I'm a transfer student, and get me enrolled in as many of your periods as possible."
"Oh yeah, and I'm just warning you, this is probably going to be really boring for you, considering you're already in high school in Gotham." I rubbed the back of my head sheepishly.
"Right. Totally feeling the aster." Gray replied sarcastically.
