THEN REPLY AND ANSWER MY QUESTIONS

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair, sliding my phone back into my pocket. It all makes sense now. How he knows my name, why he seems so familiar... Honestly, it was all just too much for me. It felt like I was about to faint.

"So what was all that about back there?" Sloane asked me. I snapped out of my daze and looked at my surroundings. I was in the backseat of Jerry's car with him in the front seat and Sloane beside me.

"I'll tell you later," I told her truthfully. I laid my head down on her shoulder and waiting until the car stopped at my house. Jerry, being the reckless driver he is, harshly stopped the car's brakes and told us to get out.

I got out of the car and pulled out my house key with Sloane behind me. We both entered the house without saying a word because my mom already knew that she was staying the night. As we reached the stairs, I slowly walked up them while Sloane lightly, yet quickly, bounced up them and waited for me at the top. I groaned out in laziness as I tried to quicken my pace.

"How do you walk so fast? Aren't you tired?" I asked her when I finally made my way to the top of the case of stairs.

"Nope! I'm just eager to know what's been up with my bestie lately," She replied, grabbing my wrist and dragging me down the hallway. When we stopped at my door, Sloane paused and asked me if my brother was home. You see, Cade has had this weird little crush on Sloane since he was in the 6th grade. It was cute, yet creepy at the same time. I shook my head no and we entered my room.

I threw my backpack across the room and went straight for my bed and plopped down with Sloane beside me. "Okay, now tell me everything that I missed." Sloane said, getting in front of me and crossing her legs. I did the same by sitting up and bringing my knees to my chest.

I explained everything to her, starting from me walking to the store at night, witnessing an almost murder, and the whole Jack situation.

"So you're telling me that this dangerous 18 year old boy named Jack has been following you these past few days, and you're just now finding out that he goes to our school?"

"Yes."

"Sounds like a Lifetime Movie if you'd ask me," Sloane said. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Sloane! This is serious! What should I do?" I asked her desperately.

"I think you should give the guy a chance. I know he may seem scary and all to you, but you never know! Plus, he's kinda cute." She said, slightly smirking at her last sentence. She was right though. I didn't know him like that, but that's a bad thing too. He does have a mugshot and a security record. I guess that if you look past all of that, he'd be a pretty nice guy. Besides, he was kind of good looking... but only a little. They're plenty of other guys at Seaford High School that are really built, tall, and that have long hair with sexy tan skin...

Okay, not really.

"You know what, you're right. But how am I gonna get in touch with him? Tomorrow's Saturday, and he's ignoring my text messages since school ended." Stupid logic and reason...

"Just be patient! He'll talk to you when the time is right." Sloane said, gripping my shoulders and shaking me. "For now, just don't stress about it. You don't want people to get suspicious, do you?" I shook my head no. "Okay then! Oh, and I know I just told you not to worry and all, but what are you going to tell the guys?"

Crap. I totally forgot about them. Milton could catch on to anything really quick, while Jerry would usually take a month to finally understand something. So this couldn't be so hard.

"I'll think about that later, but nothing comes up unless they start to get really concerned. Got it?" I stuck my pinky out and waited for Sloane to pull hers out. This whole situation deserved a pinky promise. Sloane wrapped her pinky around mine.

"Got it."

Andddd that's the end of another chapter. Sorry if this one was sort of boring and all, I just wasn't feeling it at the moment tbh. :P But expect a lot in the next chapter! (; Oh, and before I go, remember to Read emylova's fanfic called 'Demons'!
