"Yes teamwork!" Lucy yelled out!

"Have we had lunch yet?" Gray asked as his stomach growled.

"I don't think so." Gajeel said. "Did we?" Gajeel and Gray both turned their heads to face Laxus.

"No. We should though. Anyone have food?" Laxus asked.

"Listen to me!" Lucy yelled out.

"You know now that you mention it someone does have to write the apology letter." Gajeel pointed out. The two boys head turned to look at Gray.

"So...Lucy you like writing don't you?" Gray said innocently. "Well I ain't writing it. Why should I?"

"Because it was your fault!" Gajeel yelled back.

"Well I'm not writing it." Laxus said.

"Neither am I!" Gajeel agreed.

"Well someone has to write it." Gray said.

"No wonder Macao was so mad at these dimwits." Lucy mumbled. "Well I'm leaving. See ya!"

Lucy left the classroom but the three boys didn't notice. "Your gonna write it!" Gajeel said punching Gray in the cheek.

"No your going to write it!" Gray said biting Gajeel's arm.

"What the hell's your problem?"Gajeel said.

"You guys are dumb." Laxus mumbled. Bam! "What the hell?" Laxus yelled out.

"Geez Gray why'd you punch Laxus?" Gajeel said.

"Me? It was you!" Gray insisted.

"You two...are gonna pay..." Laxus said. "You bastards!"

After 10 minutes of nonstop punching, kicking, insulting, and biting they stopped.

"We shouldn't waste our energy." Gajeel said lying on the floor.

"Yeah...wait why?" Gray asked lying next to Gajeel.

"We have to run remember?" Laxus reminded both two boys who were lying on the ground while he was sitting on top of a desk.

"Oh yeah." Gray said remembering. "The whole class should watch out because were going to be the fastest runners!" Gray pointed his finger up while smiling.

"Hurry up you three!" Macao yelled out. "Your way behind from everyone else!"

The three boys were now panting. "I'm tired." Gray whined.

"I haven't ate anything." Laxus said.

"You think I have?" Gajeel said.

"Macao can we stop running?" Gray complained.

"No!" Macao scolded. "You three are way behind!"

"Well we wouldn't have been if you'd just let us run separately." Gajeel mumbled.

"What's wrong? Can't run fast?" Laxus said smirking.

"Is that a challenge?" Gajeel said irritated.

"Please I'm the fastest." Gray chimed in.

The three numbskulls turned to each other and grinned. "It's on!" The three said at the same time. They began to run faster than anyone; they even passed Erza and Jellal who were in the lead.

"Your going down tin man!" Laxus yelled.

"Not if I beat you sparky." Gajeel said hesitating on the name.

"Sparky? Really? That's stupid." Gray said laughing.

"Really? I don't find it to bad." A pinked haired boy said smiling at the lightning, iron, and ice mage.

"What the hell?" Gray surprisingly said.

"What-? How?"Gajeel said too stunned to talk.

"What?" Natsu questioned.

"How the hell did you catch up?!" Gajeel and Gray yelled out.

"Well you guys looked like you were having fun so I wanted to join." Natsu said laughing.

"Get lost." Gray said.

"Hey were almost finished." Laxus said.

"Hey Laxus!" Natsu said cheerfully.

The three boys decided to speed up.

"Hey!" Natsu said getting left behind. "Wait up!"

"Done!" Gray said as all three of them finished.

"Hey!" Natsu said coming in next.

"What do you want?" Gajeel asked.

"Laxus!" Natsu said serious.

"What the hell do you want?" Laxus said annoyed.

"Stop yelling." Gajeel complained. "My ears hurt."

But Natsu ignored him. "Fight me!"

They were all shocked. Even Macao.

"He's crazy!" Erza said as Jellal and her tied to finished.

"No way." Laxus said.

"What you scared?" Natsu said smiling.

"Huh?" Laxus said turning to face Natsu.

"What's? Whats going on?" Lucy said as she finished tired. After a while everyone was done.

"Natsu asked to fight Laxus." Jellal answered.

"What?" Mira, Lisanna, and Lucy yelled out.

"I said NO!" Laxus said getting mad.

I need to get Gildarts quick. Man if Gramps finds out that Laxus will fight Natsu he's in big trouble. Macao thought starting to panic.

"Come on." Natsu said firing his fist with fire.

"Your own! Laxus will take you on any day any time. In a second!" Gray said.

"Your picking sides?" Elfman asked Gray. "Now that's a real man!"

"This isn't going to be good." Lucy whispered to Erza.

"Come at me loser." Laxus said.

"No!" Macao said. "Don't you two dare."

"You can't stop us!" Natsu said.

"Were going to have a tournament you know. Wanna waste your energy here?" Macao confessed.

"What were having a tournament?" Everyone said.

"I wasn't supposed to tell you but oh well." Macao sighed then began to walk back. "Now come on. Almost lunch."

-Detention-

"Why didn't you just fight Natsu?" Gray said scribbling on the board.

"Because I didn't feel like it." Laxus mumbled.

"You could've beat him." Gajeel said eating the faucet.

"You know that's not the person I want to beat." Laxus pointed out.

"Yeah we know." Gray said erasing the board and now writing something else.

"I hate Natsu?" Laxus said.

"Hate is a strong word." Gray said.

"That's why I used it!" Laxus answered irritated.

"So why do you hate the bastard?" Gajeel asked while he was fighting with Gray for the marker.

"He..." Laxus hesitated whether he should say it or not. "He gets to close to Lucy."

Gray and Gajeel just stared at Laxus. "You lllliiiikkkkeeee her." Gray teased.

"Shut up!" Laxus said. "What are you writing?"

"Nothing." Gajeel said trying to hide his laugh.

"Finished." Gray said as he put the marker down. Laxus X Lucy. That's what it said. It was surrounded with a big heart around it.

"There." Gajeel said revealing what he wrote. Gray X Juvia. It also had a heart around it.

"What?" Gray said stunned.

Then a shadow appeared. It was the goofy boy named Natsu. He slowly entered the door. "So who do you wanna beat?"

"None of your business." Laxus said.

"Come on tell me! Please!" Natsu said begging over and over again.

"Just tell him or my ears are gonna bleed." Gajeel said covering his ears.

"Fine!" Laxus gave in. "Gildarts."

"Gildarts? Why him?" Natsu asked.

"He's the strongest person I know." Laxus admitted.

"Well I'm gonna beat him!" Natsu said.

"No way! I'm gonna beat him!" Laxus said hitting Natsu's head.

"And.." Natsu said getting up. "I'm going to get Lucy."

"Alright you officially got me pissed off." Laxus darkly said.

"Why?"

"Because Lucy's mine!" Laxus blurted out. He then covered his mouth. Shit. Did I actually say that?

"No way! I battle you for her." Natsu said fisting his hand with fire.

"I can't do that you idiot! She has to like the person because she likes them not because they won her over." Laxus explained.

"Whatever." Natsu said.

"Speaking of Lucy...where is she?" Gray asked.

"Yeah doesn't she need to be in detention too?" Gajeel said taking a seat.

"Sorry I'm late!" Lucy burst in the door smiling. "Has Macao came yet?" All the boys shook their heads. "Good. Hey Natsu why are you here? Did you get into trouble?" Natsu slowly shook his head. "I think you should go or you'll get detention as well."

"I don't care. As long as I'm with you then I'm fine by that." Natsu said smiling and made Lucy blush. Natsu began to walk towards Lucy then patted her head and left.

"Someone's blushing." Gajeel said laughing.

"Sh-Shut up!" Lucy said trying not to blush to much.

"You like him or what?" Laxus asked as if he wasn't interested.

"What? No! He's just a friend!" Lucy said.

"Whatever." Laxus mumbled.

"So Lucy...What did you hear?" Gray said.

"What all I heard was someone say 'I can't do that you idiot! She has to like the person because she likes them not because they won her over.' and that's all. Why?" Lucy said putting her two fingers in her chin and nodding.

"So do you know who said that?" Gajeel asked looking at Gray. Lucy nodded her head.

"Laxus right?" Lucy asked. "Who was he talking about anyways?"

Gajeel began to panic. "Lisanna. Mira. No wait it was Levy. No my bad it was Juvia."

"Hey don't bring Juvia into this" Gray said throwing Gajeel an eraser.

"What a lie." Lucy sighed. "Wait...were you guys talking about Erza?"

"Fine you caught us. We were talking about Erza." Gray said lying.

"Hey Laxus..what happened between you and Erza?" Lucy said with a serious expression on her face.

"Nothing. Now be quiet." Laxus said.

"Tell me! Please?" Lucy begged.

"No."

"Wait don't tell me...you like her." Lucy suggested.

"What? No! Stop suggesting things you don't know." Laxus said but then he began to panic since he saw the board.

Lucy turned around and saw the board. "What's this?"

"I didn't notice that." Laxus lied.

"Why would they write this?" Lucy asked. Dammit. Someone knows. Who wrote this? Levy? No it couldn't be.

"I have no idea why people would spread lies and rumors." Laxus announced.

"Yeah...Lies." Lucy said hurt.

-Lucy's POV-

"Yeah...Lies." I said trying not to sound to hurt. Don't cry Lucy. Don't cry. If I do cry though then there going to think that I'm crying because someone is picking on me..yeah.

"You alright Lucy?" Laxus asked as he startled me.

"Yeah..I mean why wouldn't I be? So anyways are you guys done with your projects?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"Not really. Why are you?" Gray asked also trying to change the subject.

"Nope." Lucy announced. "Hey are we still hanging out today Laxus?"

"Yeah." Laxus mumbled.

"But first we have to write the letter..remember?" Gray called out.

"How about his you write the letter and we hand it in and we all go home." Gajeel said trying to sound reasonable.

"Sounds fair to me- Hey wait! No fair." Gray exclaimed.

"Just write the stupid letter!" Gajeel said annoyed.

"Fine." Gray finally gave in.

-10 minutes later-

"What's taking you so long?" Gajeel asked.

"Shut up! It's harder than you think!" Gray said scribbling on the paper. "I finished." He said handing the paper to Laxus.

"Dear Macao. Were really sorry. Sincerely, Gray, Laxus, and Gajeel. P.S. I'm the one that actually wrote the letter. Laxus and Gajeel didn't write anything. -Gray." Laxus read and looked up to see Gray.

"Um..You weren't supposed to read that part." Gray said sweat dropping.

"What the hell Gray? You spend 20 minuted on that?!" Gajeel snapped.

"It was 10 NOT 20. Get your facts right Gajeel." Gray noted.

"Your an Idiot Gray!" Laxus concluded. "Geez how about we all write a part to the letter?"

"Sounds good to me." Gajeel admitted.

"Yeah sure. You go first." Gray said.

-5 Minutes later-

"Finished." Gray said cheerfully. "Now all we have to do is hand this apology letter to Macao."

"Alright let me read it." I said getting the letter off of Gray's hands. She began to read. "Dear Macao, We are really sorry for what we did. Really we are. Sometimes we daze off and don't listen but we have to admit that your a great teacher. But ya know Gildarts is one to. You always try to hold in the yelling but we get you so mad that you can't help it." I stopped and then continued to read. "You've taught us all something. If you don't get caught then you don't get trouble. Right? Ah who cares all we know is that we have to say sorry. We meant to behave but well...there were other options and well you bored us. So see technically this is your fault. Don't worry we'll forgive you. Your best students, Laxus, Gray, and Gajeel."

I looked up to see if this was the final draft they were going to enter. They all nodded their heads as an approval and I just sweat dropped. "You can't be serious can you?"

"Hey we worked hard on his!" Gray said snatching the paper away from me.

"Fine fine. Enter it if you'd like." I said.

"Alright let's go enter this stupid paper before we lose it." Laxus mumbled as he walked out the classroom.

"Can I come?" I asked.

"Sure why not." Gajeel responded.

We all headed towards Macaos classroom when Laxus stopped right in front of the door. He put his index finger to his lips so shush us. We nodded and stayed quiet. We stepped to the side of the door so they wouldn't see our shadows.

"Who is it?" I asked Laxus.

"It's Macao." Gajeel said sniffing the air though it seemed like he was sniffing my hair.

"So why don't we just go in?" Gray asked. I was about to ask the same thing.

"You idiot there's someone with him." Gajeel whispered.

Geez I'm glad I didn't ask that question. I wonder if I did would Gajeel call me an Idiot as well? I thought.

"It's Gildarts." Laxus said.

We all got quiet to hear what they were going to say.

"So they got in trouble again. Geez they don't learn." Gildarts chuckled.

"Yeah and they also had to write an apology letter." Macao added.

Gildarts began to laugh. "Man I can't wait to read that."

"It better be good." Macao mumbled. "So you sure about this?"

"Sure about what? Oh yeah I am." Gildarts said. "It won't be long until I return."

"So your really leaving huh." Macao muttered.

"Hey I'll return. I'll only be gone for a couple of days." Gildarts casually noted.

"That's what you said last time and it took you a whole year!" Macao scolded.

"Hey hey that's because...Okay well you have a point." Gildarts admitted."At least I made it for Laxus birthday"

"He was only three I doubt he remembers. Do they know?"

"No."

"I'll miss those kids." Gildarts sniffed.

"It sounds like your going to die. Stop it." Macao pointed out.

Laxus opened the door. We all went in. "What the hell do you mean you'll miss us? Were are you going?"

"Laxus. Gajeel. Gray. And Lucy! What are you doing here?" Macao said surprised. But we all ignored him.

"Were are you going?" I asked Gildarts.

"Well you see...Um." Gildarts wasn't too sure if he should tell us or not but he gave in. "I'm going to an SS-Class mission."

"An SS-Class Mission?" I asked.

"An SS-Class is someone with incredible strength. Only Gildarts is in that position. Gramps can't even beat him. An S-Class is someone who is also strong among the other members but not as strong as the missions are dangerous that even the smallest mistake can lead to your death. However, in return, the pay is very good, easily going into millions of jewels." Laxus explained.

"Well someone knows their Class rank." Gildarts chuckled.

"Of course I know. You just watch one day I'll beat you and also be an SS-Class mage." Laxus added.

"Is that right? Well you won't be able to beat me but I think you'll be tough enough to be an SS-Class." Gildarts said. Then Gildarts picked up Laxus and pressed his cheek against Laxus and began to hug him and cry. "Oh I'll miss you so much Laxus."

"You idiot I can't breath." Laxus said trying to get away from Gildarts.

Gildarts finally let go and Laxus began to breath. "Wanna fight?"

Without an answer they both began to fight. Well Laxus anyways. He tried to lay a punch on Gildarts but he kept dodging him like it was nothing. Then without warning Gildarts hit Laxus in the head with his fist then cheek. It seemed like he was playing with him. Laxus got up and Macao got a box and when he opened it it was filled with bandages. I guess they were used to this. I began to bandage up Laxus after they calmed down.

"Tsk." Was all the respond I got after I asked Laxus if he was ok.

"Don't worry he's stubborn like that." Gildarts said smiling. He then picked up Laxus and threw him out the window. We were all shocked by his actions even Macao. I guess Gildarts knew we were going to go after him because when we got outside in front of the gates he was already there.

"Awesome! How'd he get down here that quick?" Gray said.

"Well I'm leaving." Gildarts causally said.

"Hey...Gildarts. You better come back." Laxus mumbled. We all turned to look at him.

"I will. That's a promise. Hey I'll be back in just 2 months you hear? I need you to keep a promise to me to ya know."

"Oh yeah and what's that?" Laxus asked.

"Well your going to face a lot of opponents while I'm gone. So you better not lose to neither of them. You hear?" Gildarts announced.

Laxus nodded. "Yeah. I promise." Gildarts then threw Laxus a small stone. It was a clear blue.

"What's this?" Laxus asked as he caught the stone.

"Keep that. It'll tell you if I'm doing ok. I have one as well. This stone that I have here." Gildarts pulled out another clear blue stone but this one had a a small crack in it in the corner. "This one's yours. Well it's mine that I'm going to keep but this one tells me if your ok. The blue is when your good and have strength. Green is when your ok but not healthy. Yellow is when your weak. Brown is when your injured. Red is well...let's just say that your in danger. And black is when your dead."

"Yeah I doubt any of us will remember that." Gajeel pointed out.

When we looked up to see what Gildarts was going to say he was gone. I wanted to cry. I wasn't sure why but maybe it was because I knew how it felt to see someone leave. Before I knew it my hand was being pulled. I looked up to see who it was and it was Laxus.

"Hey where are we going?" I asked. "Hey! We can't just skip school!"

"Who cares." Laxus said.

"We'll distract Macao." Gajeel said.

"See ya!" Gray added.

Before I knew it today was going to change everything.

So how was it? Sorry it took so long. I had a lot of projects. Geez don't teachers know that we have other classes too!? By the way Ace is awesome from One Piece. Just pointing it out. I'll try to update in 2 weeks. In Saturday I'll be busy updating my other stories.
