I am so sorry for the extra short chapters, but I don't have a ton of time to write and I feel super bad about not updating for a long time so I try to write what I can given the circumstances (aka school, ugh)
So to clear up some questions I received (ohmygosh I received questions!):
Hinata is not noticed missing because, like before when she yelled at Gaara for killing the woman, she used the clone jutsu. No one questions Gaara missing because they assume he is bored of watching the matches or they are just afraid of him.
This setting is loosely (very loosely) based on the first chunin exams, minus the Sasuke drama and sand village attack. Just like in the actual series though, Gaara's siblings and even his sensei are afraid of him, so he pretty much does whatever he wants.
Also Hinata's match will happen eventually
Disclaimer (I always forget to do these)* I don't own characters or idea, though I wish I did. J
'Thump"
Hinata suddenly snapped out of her daze, her head turned quickly towards the direction of the noise. It was a faint footstep on the stairway.
Hinata's face instantly flushed a deep red. She always blushed in average circumstances, but if someone caught her now, she felt she might die of embarrassment. Not because she was here with Gaara of course, but because she was a little…exposed.
Gaara heard the sound of footsteps too, of course, but his brain was still taking a moment to function properly again. He numbly put on his robe again when Hinata threw it at his head. He watched sadly as she fumbled with her coat, dropping it twice. He didn't want this to end. He was going to kill whoever was coming down here.
When the figure finally appeared, Hinata had just barely zipped up her coat. Gaara's gourde was still on the floor though, a sign that something odd was going on, because he rarely removed it from his back.
"N-Naruto!" Hinata exclaimed, flustered.
Gaara glanced at Hinata, and saw her cheeks flush a deep crimson. Yeah, he was definitely going to kill Naruto.
"What are you two doing down here? Do you know where the bathroom is?" Naruto asked, jumping from foot to foot in an attempt to hold his bladder.
He's a dead man. Hardly a man, Naruto is a boy. A disgusting child. Gaara thought darkly. He took one more look at Hinata, who was nervously wringing her hands and looking at the floor, and he left without a word.
