A/N: I am so sorry that I haven't updated! I've been busy with school and exams that I completely forgot about this story! P.S. You might want to go back and read the first few chapters because I edited them a little bit, and I also changed the little girls name from Kalika to Daniella! I'm sorry for that. This takes place at around the end of season 8 and start of season 9! Here's a cookie to make up for it (::)
The three Winchesters walked up to Joseph's front door in the small community of Federal Heights, Salt Lake City, Utah, hoping the older man was home to help out and tell them what to do about the most recent murder.
A man in his early to mid fifties answered the door, his greying black hair unkempt from just having woken up.
"Who's this? You didn't say anything about a child." He said, looking between Sam and Dean.
"She's my daughter and i'm not explaining this again." Sam said, picking up Dani and heading into the house.
"So, why did you want us here?" Dean asked, heading into the kitchen and grabbing a beer from the refrigerator, making Sam glare daggers at him.
"There was a murder in Nevada not even six hours ago; same deal as the first three."
"That's kinda funny though, Dani's mother was just murdered at around the same time over in Michigan."
Daniella's head snapped up upon hearing those words.
"That isn't funny at all, Uncle Dean!" Dani said, her voice cracking, a clear indicator she was starting to cry.
"It's okay, Dani. Uncle Dean was just kidding, he wasn't the least bit serious. We're all sad about what happened to Mommy." He said, trying to calm the toddler down.
"Well it wasn't funny!"
"We know, and Dean's sorry. Dean, say you're sorry."
Dean sighed and looked at Joseph, who had an amused look on his wrinkled features.
"Well, go on! Apologize!" Joseph said jokingly.
"Fine, Dani...I'm sorry, will you forgive me?" Dean asked, bending down to her height.
"I guess so...you're just a meany, Uncle Dean."
Dean nodded and got up, "So, what do these murders mean?" He asked, turning serious once more as he faced Joseph.
"It means more than one demon is involved."
