Return to Nebula

Blue painted the sky along with dozens of clouds. The pinkette plopped to the grassy ground with her friends to enjoy the beautiful weather. With a popsicle in her mouth, she lifted her eyes to view the clouds above her.

"Forehead, you're turning into Shikamaru! My goodness! Why are you watching clouds all the time? Hmmm?" Ino tapped her wide forehead in a playful manner, "Pig, I'm trying to make out shapes of it. It's called 'letting my creativity flow'," Sakura mused and got a snicker from her friend in return.

That night, she went to bed with hopes of going back to Nebula.

And she did...

When she saw the Sharinganist standing by the pillars waiting, her heart jumped with joy. She skipped to him and tugged a hand around his arm, "Sasuke-kun! You've been waiting?"

"Aa," He nodded.

"The star cloud was pretty, almost up to perfection. Thank you," The girl tipped her toes and laid a peck at the corner of the dark boy's mouth, he stopped in his steps for a moment to take in her sweet gesture before continuing on.

"Ano, Sasuke-kun?"

"Yes?" His voice gentle.

"This may sound weird but..." She fondled with her fingers, "I'm actually glad to be back. I-I missed you," Her grip on his arm tightened.

Sasuke said nothing but instead, he loosened her grip on him and took her hand in his, "We're going to pay that dobe a visit." He bit his lips harder than usual, allowing color to stay... the last thing he wanted was to appear too pale in front of Sakura.

"Saaaakura-chan! Oh my, oh my, oh my! You're really here! Teme told me you came again but he was so selfish! I didn't even get to say hi!" Naruto hugged her tightly, "You're looking way prettier than when you came last time!"

"Na-Naru-to...I... can't... breathe," Sakura gasped.

"Oh, sorry!" He laughed, a little embarrassed.

"Well, I'm not sick anymore! That's why! So, what did I miss?" She wiggled her brows, "Did you managed to...ask you-know-who out?" Sakura elbowed him softly.

"That..." He scratched his blond head, "I'm still working on it!"

"Coward," Sasuke cut in.

"Loser!" The fox-boy retorted.

"Aww, flowers and a card. That's really basic Naruto!" She offered, "I remember Hinata telling me she loves the purple lilies from Hyuuga Pond."

"Oh... so it was purple," He rubbed his neck, "Not pink..."

"There's no point offering him advice, Sakura. He's just an idiot," Sasuke shrugged.

The three continued walking and bickering in the forest until they reach a stone shack by a slim river.

"Kakashi!" Naruto called out. Before they could take a step further, the wizard appeared right in front of the trio, "Yo!"

"Kakashi!" Sakura leapt into his arms, "You're still full of surprises!" She chimed.

"Sakura, what brings you here?" He said rather grimly, "Why? You sound like you're not happy to see me, Kakashi," She pouted.

But the wizard knows, his uncovered eye landed on the Sharinganist, "Kakashi, don't be rude," The boy said.

"Ah, never! I'm happy to see you again. So, here to shoot white flame arrows?" Kakashi patted her pink head.

"Yup!"

"Alright then, let's get started before you leave," He guided the team to a field behind his tiny shack... all the while keeping an eye on Sasuke.

They released their third shot respectively before Sasuke dropped his bow, hands squeezing the side of his head as he let out a groan. Sakura was the first to be by his side, followed by Kakashi.

"Sasuke, can you see?" The man asked, "Your visions' blur, isn't it?" He continued on after only hearing the boy muffle a soft "damn it".

"Teme! What's wrong?! You okay?" Naruto blared.

"Sasuke-kun! What's happening?" Worry in her eyes, before she could reach out a hand to hold him, she felt something pulling her soul... Sakura was fading away again.

"Sakura, I'll take care of him," Kakashi reassured before she slipped away completely.

The last image in her head before she woke up was one of Sasuke with cold sweat beading his forehead, kneeling on the ground. That day, the pinkette could not put her mind into doing anything at all.
