*Changing the point of view to third person from now on. Just because I can write the story better this way.

Zexion stood in the kitchen, making eggs on the stove. Usually he'd just have a piece of toast and orange juice for breakfast, not at all bothered by needing more food. He was never really one for having a big appetite. The only reason he was cooking eggs was because Roxas had spent the night and the blonde ate more than him. Said blonde was in the shower so when someone walked into the kitchen, Zexion knew it wasn't his best friend.

Looking over his shoulder he saw Demyx walk over to sit at the counter. "Morning Zexion," he mumbled tiredly.

"Morning," Zexion replied simply before turning back to the stove.

"I didn't know you cooked," the blonde mused while rubbing at one eye.

"He usually doesn't," a new voice called at as Roxas stepped into the kitchen, dressed in a t-shirt and shorts with a towel over his shoulders to prevent the water from his hair getting on his shirt. "Whenever he does cook it's because I'm here," he said, coming to stand behind Zexion and wrap his arms around his waist.

Zexion quickly pushed an elbow into his friend's side. "Shut up or I'll throw your food away," he told him and tried to get one of the blonde's arms off him but failed.

"You don't have to be so mean," Roxas muttered before nuzzling his head to the other's neck.

"Knock it off," Zexion said, giving one more attempt to rid of his friend but gave up and turned the stove off. "You're getting me wet Roxas," he pointed out as water started to soak into his shirt.

Roxas ignored his last comment and kept his head on his friend's shoulder. "Aw, you burnt my eggs," he mumbled as he watched Zexion put the food from the pan to a plate.

"That's your own damn fault, now get off of me," Zexion said, stepping away from the blonde only to have him follow. He tried to push Roxas off but his grip only tightened. "Okay fine, what do you want from me?"

"Feed me my food," the blonde answered, tiredness slipping into his voice. "I'm too tired to."

"You were fine just a minute ago," Zexion argued. "Feed yourself."

"But showers make me tired, you know that. Please?"

"Fine, get your ass back to the room and I will," the other agreed with a sigh. Roxas quickly muttered a 'can do,' before leaving the room and going back upstairs. Zexion picked the blonde's plate up and made to move but was stopped as Demyx spoke – having almost forgot he was there.

"Are you two dating?" Demyx asked.

"No, what gave you that idea?" Zexion questioned in return.

The blonde shrugged before answering, "I dunno, you two just seem really close I thought you were together."

"Oh, well yeah, we're not together," Zexion confirmed for the blonde who in turn nodded in understanding. Feeling a blush start to form, Zexion quickly made his way out of the kitchen and towards his room. Once up the stairs and in the hall he was almost there when Axel walked by, pausing by his side to smirk down at him before walking away. Zexion hadn't even known that the redhead was still at the house. He must have stayed overnight. He was glad that he was already blushing before seeing the redhead because then there was a fraction of hope that Axel hadn't noticed him blush further upon seeing him.

Stepping into his bedroom and pushing the door closed, Zexion walked to his bed where Roxas was laying and sat down beside the blonde. He put the plate on his friend's lap before leaning against the headboard. At the action Roxas opened his eyes and sat up, holding the plate with one hand while the other supported his weight.

"What's wrong?" he asked noticing Zexion's discomfort. "You seem flustered," he noted upon seeing his friend's blush.

"Yeah, probably because Demyx just asked if I was dating you," Zexion answered simply.

"Why would he ask that?" Roxas question before taking a bite of his food.

"He said that we seemed close enough to be dating."

"Hm," the blonde mused while taking another bite. "I guess we could possibly give that idea to people. Is that all that's bothering you?"

"No," the other answered with a sigh. "I saw Axel in the hall. I think he stayed the night here."

"Oh, I see," Roxas said in a teasing sing-song voice.

"See what?" Zexion asked slightly irritated that his friend was starting this so early in the day.

"That you must really like him," the blonde answer. "It would explain why you blush so easily around him."

"I do not," Zexion protested but knew he had no chance of winning an argument as he felt his cheeks blush again, just as he thought it was starting to fade away.

"Sure," Roxas said sarcastically. "Just admit you like him. I mean, you hardly blush out of embarrassment when I either kiss or touch you. I think the most I've ever seen you blush was when I give you your first blow job. But now with Axel I think that may change."

"Shut up and eat, or else I won't take you to the beach," Zexion told him which in turn made the blonde quiet and clear his plate. Once he was done eating, Roxas got up from the bed and changed his clothes for swim trunks and black tank top.

"Get dressed and meet me downstairs," Roxas said after slipping his shoes on. He then left the room, pulling the door after him but not exactly closing it. Zexion remained on the bed for a few more minutes before sighing and getting up. Walking to his closet he pulled his shirt off and dropped it on the floor, mentally reminding himself to pick it up later.

Standing in front of the closet in just the sweatpants he had put on after getting out of bed, Zexion mindlessly wondered what would most comfortable to wear at the beach. Unlike Roxas he really didn't care for the beach or revealing clothes so he didn't know exactly what would be best. With another sigh he put on a thin long sleeve black button up shirt and replaced his sweats for his light grey pants before walking away from the closet to get his shoes and iPod.

After putting on his shoes he turned to leave the room but stopped short at seeing Axel standing outside his door. The redhead smirked at him for another time that morning and Zexion could feel the heat start on his cheeks. He did his best to ignore that fact that Axel most likely just saw him change his clothes as he sent a glare at said redhead. It had no effect as Axel simply walked away from his spot at the door. Waiting nearly a minute until he was certain Axel was no longer in the hall, Zexion quickly took the chance to leave the room and go meet Roxas downstairs.

He found the blonde alone in the living room and upon coming into the room Roxas stood up from the couch and went to his friend's side. "Don't you think you'll get hot wearing this?" he questioned as he took one of Zexion's arms in his hands and rolled the sleeve up, cuffing it above his elbow.

"I'll be fine," Zexion answered as Roxas rolled up his other sleeve. He made to leave for the door but was stopped as Roxas grabbed his arm. "What? Do you want to go to the beach or not?"

"I do, but we need to wait for Demyx and Axel," Roxas said slowly as he took his hand off his friend's arm.

"Why?" Zexion asked just as slow as Roxas had spoken. He already had an idea as to what the answer may be.

"Because I told them they could come with," the blonde answered. Before Zexion could say anything else, Roxas quickly added, "They asked if they could. I didn't invite them. Just gave them permission."

"I hate you, I hate you so much right now," Zexion said putting his head in his hands and rubbing at his eye. "Fine then, but don't expect much from me."

"I wasn't," Roxas said with a shrug, now back to his normal self. He turned at the sound of footsteps and smiled upon seeing Demyx and Axel, now dressed and seemingly ready to go. "Ready?" he asked, receiving nods from the two before turning for the door to leave.

Once getting to the beach and finding a spot to put their things and sit, Roxas quickly discarded his short and shoes so he could go to the water, Demyx following closely behind. Zexion sat by the two bags Roxas and the other two brought, expecting to be left alone until Axel sat down next to him.

"So I take it you're not much of a beach person," the redhead said only to have Zexion glare at him and turn away. "Hey, no need to be like that. If it makes you feel better, I'm not one for the beach either," he tried, but still got no response from the other. "Okay," he said with a sigh, "what did I do wrong?"

"Most people don't appreciate being watched while changing their clothes," Zexion answered, sparing a small glance at Axel before looking away again.

"Right, sorry about that," Axel apologized sheepishly. "I didn't actually mean to, I was walking by and you caught my attention and I just couldn't look away until you saw me."

"My door was hardly left open," Zexion quickly argued, turning back to the redhead who now seemed closer. "There's no way you were walking by and saw in my room without pushing the door further open."

"Oh, fine, yes I opened your door," the redhead admitted. "But not to watch you change your clothes. I was going to ask you something but was stopped when I saw you. I really couldn't look away, I'm sorry."

"What was it you were going to ask me?" Zexion questioned, tilting his head a bit – something he did when curious.

"I can't tell you now," Axel answered and put one hand on top of the other's head, ruffling his hair before being quickly pushed away. "So how can I make it up to you seeing that it upset you so much? Maybe get you a drink, maybe an ice cream? You seem to be getting hot," he said and Zexion only now realized he was most likely blushing from the heat and being near Axel, seeing that apparently he had been the one to have moved closer to the redhead without noticing.

"No thanks, I'm fine," he told him Axel, moving to put the small distance back between them. Unfortunately the space was taken away as Axel moved closer. "What now?"

"Nothing, just want to know you better. Is that so wrong?" Axel asked in turn.

"Invading my personal space is," Zexion said, trying to lean away only to have the redhead keep closing the distance.

"You don't really mind though, do you? Otherwise you'd have push me away by now, right?" the redhead teased, a smirk coming to his lips as he moved a tad closer to where he could simply kiss Zexion. He nearly did too, but allowed his lips to only ghost the other's before pulling away. "Come on, let's play twenty questions. How 'bout it?"

"Five questions," Zexion argued, not wanting to have to ask the redhead so many things – most of which he would have to make up and didn't really care for.

"Ten," Axel tried, hoping to change the amount to a higher one.

"Five," Zexion repeated as he leaned towards the redhead – a habit he did when arguing. "Or no questions at all."

"Fine, five, but I get to go first," Axel replied and leaned in. "Why do you cover your right eye?" he asked, raising his hand in attempt to push away the smaller boy's hair only to have Zexion pull away.

"I'm just not very comfortable otherwise," Zexion answered, his eyes on the sand beneath him since he knew Axel was still leaning close to him and he didn't want to have to look at him. Looking down he was able to see just how close the redhead was getting to him – Axel having moved somewhat from where he had originally been sitting.

"Alright, fair enough," the redhead said. "Your turn, ask me a question."

Zexion remained silent for a moment, thinking of what to ask. "What's your favorite color?" he asked with a small sigh.

"Really? You just want to know my favorite color?" Axel questioned, an amused smirk playing on his lips.

"I'm no good at these sorts of things. Just answer the damn question."

"Dark blue," the redhead replied. "Makes for a beautiful eye color," he added causally, causing Zexion to blush slightly. "What's your favorite food?"

Zexion pulled his legs to his chest and rested his arms on his knees before answering. "Sushi," he said, averting his eyes away from the other. "Can we skip my question?"

"No, you just used it," Axel said, earning a glare from the younger boy. "Well now it's my turn again. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?"

"Sea salt," Zexion answered simply. He started to think of his next question, but was pulled away from his thoughts as Axel stood up. "Where are you going?" he asked, momentarily surprised that he was actually concerned of losing the company of the redhead.

"To go buy some ice cream," he answered with a wink as he held up his wallet. With that he walked away before Zexion could argue.
