Siobhan's Point of View:
My body felt like it was stuck between immense pain and total serenity. I had no idea where I was. I couldn't see anything. Everything was dark. I tried moving, but I couldn't find my body. It was like I wasn't fully there. Suddenly a little white dot appeared about six feet away from my face. It started off being about as big as a period that you would end a sentence with. The only reason I was able to see it was because it was the only thing with any measure of light in my area. It then began to grow. It suddenly became larger than my head before becoming as large as a modern day television. That's when it stopped growing. It sat there like that for a minute before a picture began to form in it.
It started off as dark, but I could feel happiness exude from the screen. Ever so slowly, for what felt like hours, I experienced this sense of completeness. I didn't have a care in the world. Then, almost as quickly as it began it ended and I felt myself being pushed out of wherever I was. I saw a light and then I was in a whole new world. I cried because it was a cold world, and I wished to be back in my warm, safe area. I was then brought up to a face I recognized as my mother. How did I get here? What just happened? Were a few of the questions I was asking myself. I then saw the images flashing by as if someone somewhere had just hit fast-forward. It flashed through all my childhood years. I was able to catch everything however. Even though it was sped up I felt and saw everything. I saw all of the foolish things I did and wished I could undo flash before my eyes.
It then stopped at the day of my fourteenth birthday. I saw everything with such vividness I noticed things I had failed to notice then. I saw all of my friends and family gathered around me. We were all eating cake. The image switched from being a first person perspective to a third person perspective. I looked around and noticed, not only were my friends and family here. There were many, many shadows around us as well, but these weren't your average everyday shadows. These things Were shapeless entities that moved in all directions. They seemed to leak hatred and animosity, and I had one practically breathing down my neck.
Once again the image shifted moving faster than should be possible and I was still able to comprehend everything. It stopped on the day we moved . I had a wonderful graduation day at school. The only thing that was wrong was that my mom was unable to make it as she had been called in by her boss around the time she was supposed to be here. I guess I know why she was called in now. It once again shifted forward and it played the past week, that we've been here. And it stopped just as we pulled into school today. I saw everything, now able to look at it from a third person perspective. I watched us walk over towards Jake and his friends. I saw all the looks people were giving us. I saw the car that I'm guessing killed me pull into the parking lot. I watched in horror knowing what was about to unfold as Bella and I walked back to her truck. That's when I heard it again. Except this time, nothing was in slow mo. I saw again Edward disappearing from the other side of the lot. I saw Bella's car suddenly stop and I saw the look on the man behind the wheel as his car slammed into my body full force. I watched in horror as everything went black once more. Then the screen shrunk down and disappeared. Suddenly, almost as if the floor had been yanked out from underneath me, I felt myself falling. I fell for an immeasurable amount of time before I noticed something getting closer. It was unidentifiable at first. I watched as it got closer and closer before I was finally able to identify it as my body. Then I felt myself slam into it. I lurched upright, gasping for air in a room I didn't recognize.
Jacob's Point of View:
I could smell them a mile before they got here. That was one of the awesome things about the recent change. I inherited my families 'quirk' a few weeks before Siobhan had moved here and just days before Bella had. Bella hadn't really changed all that much. I mean she was taller for sure, but she had one of those faces that kind of just stay the same as they age. She had lost all her baby fat though as she was really skinny now. She was getting close to being borderline anorexic. She had grown her hair out too. She used to keep it in a short, tomboyish look. Now though it went past the middle of her back. She usually had it up in a pony tail though.
Siobhan was a whole different story though. She used to be the shortest of us. Now she was close to how tall I had been before the change. She also had a different hair colour. When she was younger her hair was sandy blonde now it was blood red but getting lighter towards the tips. Her eyes had also changed. When she was younger they were a bluish green, but now they were a vibrant emerald green that seemed capable of staring directly into my soul and picking my defenses apart one by one. She too had slimmed down a bit. She was a bit larger than Bella but not by much, and I seem to recall she had a fast metabolism so she had always been skinny. I hadn't gotten a chance to notice much else about her, but in that split second of eye contact I could see something has aged her a lot mentally.
I was leaning against my truck with Sam, Paul, and Jared blatantly causing a scene making everyone uncomfortable. We heard the whispers and everything. I chuckled at most of them. I saw the truck I gave to Bella pull in.
"Here they come you guys, I'm telling you wait till you see Siobhan, she's changed so much." I said to them. It didn't take long at all for Siobhan and Bella to spot us.
"Damn, she grew up. Wait... was her hair always red?" Jared asked.
"No, she must have dyed it." I said.
The sound of Siobhan's heels caught my attention.
'Strange.' I thought to myself. 'She swore she'd never where heels. She looks amazing.'
"They're here." I said to the guys.
"Holy shit dude. You weren't kidding, she really has changed... and is she wearing heels?" Jared asked gawking.
"Told you."
"She definitely has changed." Sam said smiling slightly.
As soon as Bella and Siobhan were in front of me I smiled at them.
"So Jake... been casuing trouble Jake?" Siobhan asked in a playful tone.
"Ha! Well you know how it is. Siobhan, Bella these here are a my good friends. Sam," I motioned to my right. "Paul, and Jared." I said flashing her one of my smiles.
"So what happened?" she asked.
"Nothing really, they just thought it would be best that some of us go to school here. Or at least that's what they told us."
"That's strange." Bella said.
"Indeed." Siobhan agreed.
Siobhan pulled out her phone and I noitced something under her sleeves. I couldn't tell what they were immediately as she quickly put her phone away and whatever was under he sleeves was out of my line of sight now.
"Come on, schools about to start." Siobhan said while walking towards the door.
"Wait! I forgot my bag!" Bella said before running over to her truck.
"Wait Bella!" Siobhan said running after her probably having forgotten her bag as well.
In the few split seconds after they had gotten to their truck things went very, very wrong. The sounds of metal scraping against the ground in a pair were heard. I watched as the car coming at Bella stopped inches from her due to some unseen force. Siobhan's didn't however. I watched in sheer horror as the car coming at Siobhan hit her and watching her fly back before her head bounced off the ground. The second after, I was full on sprinting towards Siobhan. By the time I got there however she was lying in a pool of her own blood, the majority of it coming from her head.
"Someone call 911!" I yelled.
Siobhan's Point of View:
I sat straight up in a bed gasping, while clutching my heart. I felt it racing. I couldn't see anything, but my body hurt everywhere. My vision slowly cleared up, revealing myself to be in a hospital surrounded by Bella, Jake, Paul, and some man I had never seen before. I saw they were all talking frantically, but I couldn't hear anything. The strange man finally got everyone to move aside, and stop talking. He spoke directly at me. Unfortunately, I couldn't read lips. So the entire time I was just there staring at him like a lunatic. I noticed his nametag. Dr. Carlisle Cullen.
'Wait he's the 'father' of those kids I saw at school. Interesting...' I thought to myself.
He looked over at Bella and said something and I noticed she approached me. I felt her put a hand on my shoulder, and she gave me what looked like a reassuring look. Instantly I was worried. What happened, was someone hurt? She pulled something from her bag. It revealed to be a mirror. I wanted to grab it, but found I couldn't move my right arm. I looked down at it and noticed it was in a cast, as was my right leg. I also noticed my stomach was wrapped in some strange bandage.
'What happened to me?' I wondered.
Bella brought the mirror up to my eye level and in those few moments I almost cried. Most of my face had been smashed. and my ears had a bandage wrapped around them, which appeared to be holding my skull together. My hair had been shaved off, no doubt to fix my skull. My left arm came up to touch my face. It couldn't be real. It wasn't real. I would not believe this. This is not real. I was soon over come with a feeling I had never experienced before. All I knew is that what I was seeing was not real and I was going to reveal the truth. My eyes having previously been closed snapped open, and in that second the mirror Bella was holding shattered and a jolt ran through my body. I noticed everyone back away, their faces displaying fear. My head tingled. I reached my hand up to my head and I felt my hair regrowing it continued growing for a few minutes, reaching the length it had been previously, and the faded colour too. I heard a loud popping sound before I felt my face begin to move. The entire time everyone else watched me in silence. The whole process didn't take more then a few minutes. Everything had healed, even the cuts on my arms I had made.
"What the hell just happened?" I heard Jake say.
"I have no... idea." I said as I began to remove the bandage around my stomach.
Dr. Carlisle came over and switched off the machines that had been keeping me alive. He then proceeded to remove the Iv's from my arm.
"Okay, what just happened here, doesn't leave the room. Okay?" Dr. Carlisle said as he began to remove the cast on my arm.
"We don't need this getting out."
Jacob came over, and helped me get out of the bed. I noticed out of the corner of my eye, he shot an uncomfortable glance toward the doctor. I grabbed my clothes from where I noticed them on a chair across the room, and went into the small bathroom to change out of the all too revealing clothes I was wearing. My head was beginning to pound and it felt like a fire in my stomach. I bit the inside of my lip to distract myself from the pain and stormed my way towards outside. I heard everyone run after me.
"Siobhan wait up!" Bella called out. I could hear the sound of metal scraping against metal in my ear, but as I looked around no one else seemed to hear it. My vision seemed to zoom in as if focusing on one thing only. I was very quickly outside, and Bella and Jake's group not far behind me.
"Siobhan! Where are you going?" I heard Jake call out. "Bella's truck is this way."
The grating sound kept getting louder and my vision kept getting more tunnel like. My heart was beating a million miles a minute. I heard people yelling, but I couldn't tell what they were saying all I knew is I felt like I needed to run. It was at that moment I looked to my right and saw the car not two feet away from me. I only had time to gasp and have my hands come out to push against it as if it were going in slow motion before all the tension released and a familiar jolt ran through me. The window cracked all over and the car halted to a stop immediately, my hands not even touching it. And then everything cleared up, the feelings gone.
'What in the hell..?' I thought to myself.
I felt an arm grab my shoulder.
I spun around to see Jake there.
"Are you insane? Are you trying to get hit again?" He asked bewildered. "Come on, the truck's this way."
He pulled me towards Bella's truck.
I didn't understand what just happened, but it scared me immensely.
'None of this was happened before we moved here... What is this place doing to me?' I thought to myself as I sat in the passenger seat of Bella's car.
"Siobhan what is wrong with you?" I heard Bella ask.
I didn't speak for a long moment, but when I did I spoke with shivers running through my body.
"Bella, I don't like this. Something weird is happening." I said.
"Yeah, no shit. I don't see how you're not dead. The paramedics said you died four times on the way to the hospital, but every time they revived you, your heartbeat was stronger. Not to mention your body fucking fixed itself. I mean what the hell!" Bella said cursing way more than normal.
The rest of the car ride was in silence. When we finally got to my house my mom came running out to Bella's car. I was in her arms in a tight hug as soon as I was out of the car.
"Oh my baby! Are you alright? Where are you hurt?" She asked crying deeply.
"I'm fine mom, just got a little banged up. Nothing that can't be fixed by a bit of sleep." I said blatantly lying to her.
"Of course of course, you go lay down, and I'll be up in a bit to check on you." She said pushing me in the house, leaving Bella completely ignored.
By the time I was upstairs and looked outside Bella was gone. I rubbed my temples in frustration. Today had been a long day.
