Chapter: 13

Claire had woken up to a startling crash, something had been detonated nearby. She felt herself surrounded in leather yet again.

'What the hell happened?'

She couldn't quite grasp what had happened just a few hours ago. She heard what she thought to be in Wesker's car door open.

"Rise and shine dear heart." He spoke with little in dearment.

"It's still night time..."

"Ah yes but the sun should be rising soon, in about an hour If I'm correct." Hm, why is he answering me.

Silence was between them for half way through the drive until Claire decided to interrupt.

"What was that explosion back there?" Wesker decided to keep silence steady for this question. Claire gave smug look toward the window. Hmm everything so familiar. Then again all the forest seemed the same after a while. Little by little civilization began to appear. A light bulb went off in Claire's head, this is the little town from yesterday. Claire gripped the leather seat nervously.

'What does Wesker want to do back here? There's no reason to be driving back to this deserted place.

"Wesker..." Claire spoke carefully staring out of the front windshield.

"Hm?" He looked away from the road to look at Claire's uneasiness.

"What are you planning?" He chuckled darkly at her causing shivers to descend down her back.

"Now you know, I never reveal anything without reason." He smirked looking back at the empty road. We arrived at the small restaurant he parked a little aways from the diner.

"Stay here, I'll be right back." He opened the drivers door walking briskly toward the restaurant going to the back entrance.

Claire tried desperately to see what he went toward the back of the restaurant. Frustrated with the little visibility she tried opening the car door, only to be responded by a click. No accesses was granted. Claire pushed her body against the door to somehow force it open but nothing budged. She punched the window with her injured arm forgetting the injury completely until a painful shock racing up her arm on contact. Tears welled up, biting her lip in anguish. Suddenly last nights events became clear as she realized what had occurred. She looked around to see Wesker got a replaced car, since the window wasn't shattered like last night. Claire held her hand close to her chest, her hand throbbed with pain. Wesker entered the car quickly going in reverse and flooring it, sending the car to go in unbelievably fast speed. Claire's body pushed back into the passenger seat in response at the fast momentum.

Claire screamed on the inside, she was already shaken. Wesker seemed to tune her out yet again, approaching a sharp turn in the straight road.

"Wesker!" Claire braced herself, only to see Wesker slow to make the turn just in time.

"I don't need a back seat driver. I know what I'm doing Redfield, I'm not blind." Wesker dulled, driving at his speed, which was still a bit to fast for Claire but much better than his earlier fiasco.

"I think were good here." Wesker stopped on top of a hill miles away from the little town. He took a small black device from his coat pocket, punching in a four digit code.

"15 seconds until detonation." A voice through the box spoke.

"Detonation?" Claire perked, a smirk spread on Wesker's face.

"Let's enjoy the show shall we?"

"10 seconds until detonation."

"Wesker?! What did you-"

'5, 4, 3, 2, 1-" a loud crash shook the whole forest, rippling through the trees, wind blew around the vehicle. Claire looked at the desolate area with wide eyes.

"How..." She spoke to herself. Painfully, she remembered the young waitress from yesterday, all the innocent people killed. She touched the passenger window, blankly looking at the bare land.

"Why..." She murmured, Wesker back on the road, leaving the land he had just destroyed.

"You'll understand in due time."

A/N: short update i know. Anywho, all righty guys, I got my phone back a little while ago and this is how I would update, via mobile cause no one can find out my files on my computer, I'd absolutely die at the thought T-T, so I updated ~(^•^)~ I'll update when I can which I'm almost on summer vacation so it'll be fast, I hope. Hehehe, I know what I'm going to write too :) this is going to end soon T^T but I'll make a sequel cause ily guys so much (^.^) and cause it's gonna be awesome! then again Wesker is never sweet and lovey dovey... But that's why he so attractive, hot and OMF AM I WRONG. Any who I keep him in the best character form I can cause booty if you don't. Until then have a wonderful day beautiful children ( ´θ｀)ノ
