I want to give a huge and sincere thank you to Joanie Paisley Nowak for allowing me to use her and her grandson Lukas in my story. They will continue to turn up in my story for many chapters.

I woke up to the sound of my mobile playing music. I can hear my mommy talking to my papa, she was going to classes and papa told my mommy that he needs to go to the club today and that I will be with daddy. Daddy was going to go to the hospital for his checkup today. Dr. Jonas wants to make sure that daddy's wound is healing. I was so excited when I heard that as I love spending time with my daddy because he always sings to me.

I started to coo and my mommy walked in and said, "Good Morning, love. It looks like you will be spending the day with your daddy, and I have to go now". She picked me up and changed my diaper, then she gave me a kiss and walked in the living room and handed me over to papa. Mommy gave me another kiss and told us that she will see us later, papa said okay and to have a nice day, then he turned to look at me. He smiled at me with his soft brown eyes and asked me if I had slept good last night because I didn't wake up. I slept all night, but what he didn't know is that I actually did wake up and daddy came to give me my feedings, so papa said he will tell daddy that I was sleeping all night, and he said let's go in the bedroom and see if daddy is still breathing, but first let's get your bottle then we will go see daddy. We walked in the kitchen and papa got my bottle, he tested it on his wrist, he told me he wants to make sure that it's the right temperature so that I won't burn my mouth.

We walked in the bedroom and papa was trying his best not to wake up daddy. He put my bottle on his night stand, and put extra pillows on his side of the bed and he held me in his arms and said, "Here you go sweetie", I love when my papa feeds me, his soft brown twinkling eyes stare at me and he smiles at me and he tells me that it's important to hold a baby when they are being fed a bottle because we babies can get ear infections if we lay flat down. I just love when my papa talks to me not only is he a good baby holder and talker but oh he's so very smart.

When I was almost finished with my bottle, I felt a kiss on my head. I looked up at papa and saw him smile at my daddy. Papa put me in his other arm and said, "Look Ari, Daddy is up!" Papa asked daddy how long he was up and daddy said, "Long enough to hear your lecture on ear infections". Papa looked at daddy with a puzzled look and said, "No you were sleeping like a baby so there is no way you could have heard me". Daddy looked at me and said, "Here's my secret baby girl, while your papa was making your bottle, I got up to go to the bathroom then quietly opened the bedroom door and saw papa and you and I knew papa was going to come in here with you, and I went back to bed and pretended I was asleep". Papa looked at daddy and said "you little sneak I owe you one tonight" daddy smiled and said, "Ooh can't wait". he gave papa a kiss then papa reminded daddy that he has to go to see today and that I will be going with him. My daddy looked at me with his sparkling blue eyes and smiled, he was so excited to spend the day with me. So we all got up and they got dressed and then they got me dressed, they gave each other a kiss and papa gave me a kiss and said, "Have fun with daddy!"

Daddy and I arrived at the hospital and I was starting to get fussy because I was wet. Daddy opened the door and said, "Oh sweetie, you need to be changed, we will get you changed as soon as we get in the hospital."My daddy was rushing, we went up the elevator, and I love the way daddy looks at me when we are in the elevator. He smiles at me as if he's saying" its okay, I am here don't be afraid" I love my daddies they are always protecting me.

We had arrived on the floor that daddy was supposed to go, there we saw Maxine. Oh I love Maxine, she told daddy that another patient of Dr. Jonas had cancelled and that, Daniel can see him now, and daddy asked if he can see him in about 5 minutes because I was getting fussy and needed to be changed, Maxine said she would be happy to change me and watch me, she asked daddy if it was okay, she looked at me and smiled and daddy said sure, so Maxine told my daddy to help himself to some of the not so great coffee and that she was happy to have "girl time with me". Daddy picked me up from the car seat and gave me to Maxine, he smiled at me and said for me to be a good girl and not to give her any trouble, he gave me a kiss and thanked Maxine, then Maxine said it was her pleasure, She took my car seat and put it behind the nurses station, took my diaper bag then she said let's go have some fun.

We arrived in the baby nursery, everything was the same, animals painted on the walls and some of the cribs had mobiles to soothe a crying baby. She placed me gently in the crib, grabbed a diaper then she changed me," You feel better now?" then she walked and threw my diaper away, washed her hands, picked me up then she said there was someone who she wanted me to meet, I was looking forward for her showing me who she wanted me to meet, but yet I was scared then I thought Maxine won't let anybody hurt me and that scary feeling went away.

We walked up to a nice woman who was holding her baby while sitting in the rocking chair, Maxine pulled up a rocking chair and sat next to this woman, Maxine looked at me and said, "Ari meet baby Lukas Joseph and his grandma Joanie." Then Maxine asked Joanie how her daughter was feeling this morning. Joanie said, "She is doing fine and ready to go home later."

Lukas and I were looking at each other but he kept falling asleep. He had very little hair on his head and I tried to talk to him with my cooing but he wouldn't keep his eyes open,so I let out a big "ahhh" and Maxine looked at me with a surprised look then said," my, my aren't we trying to get Lukas' attention?" I flashed her a smile, she knew what I was trying to do, then she reminded me that I used to do the same thing when I was first-born then it became clear to me that he was just a couple of hours old.

I heard my daddy's voice, and he said there she is also he had brought Daniel with him, then Daniel looked at me and smiled then he picked me up and told me he was happy to see me again, then Maxine turned to Will and said, your daughter here was baby flirting with Joanie's grandson Lukas here, and daddy smiled at me and said, "Sorry Ari no dating until your 30", then Maxine said good luck with that, and daddy walked up to Joanie then complimented her on her grandson, he even told her that someday my papa and him would love to have a boy but for now he wants to enjoy having me for a very long time, then Daniel said yes, you will have her until she is 30, Daniel told daddy and Maxine that he has to go see his patients then he gave me a kiss on the forehead and told me it was nice to see me, I stared to get fussy again and Maxine gave my daddy my bottle out of the diaper bag, and handed it to him. She told my daddy to sit down and feed me, Maxine said she had a few minutes before she goes back to work then Maxine told my daddy that Lukas' mom and grandma were new to Salem and the whole family moved here recently so before you came in with Daniel, Joanie was telling me she and her daughter wanted Lukas to have a play date when he gets a few months older and since Ari couldn't take her eyes off Lukas we thought why not ask her daddy,"So what do you think Will?" My daddy was flattered and then smiled at Joanie and Maxine, he said, "Sure I don't think it's a problem and that it would be a great idea but first he needs to talk to my mommy and papa and ask them what they think, but daddy said he thinks they won't have a problem. Joanie was so happy and looked down at Lukas who still had his eyes closed and she said," Lukas today is your lucky day!" Maxine got her a paper and pen and my daddy and she exchanged their phone numbers, then daddy said, "Thanks we will be in touch soon". He got up and took my small hand and he said, "Say good bye Ari." He walked up to Lukas and put my hand over his then daddy told Lukas that I was happy to have met a new friend, we said our goodbyes and followed Maxine to the nurses station to get my car seat. Maxine helped daddy put me in the car seat then asked daddy how his doctor appointment went with Daniel. Daddy said that Daniel checked his wound and its healing nicely and that he gave daddy some anti-biotic cream to put on it. Maxine gave me a kiss on the forehead then told me thank you for spending the day with her, Joanie and Lukas and she rubbed my cheek. I flashed out a smile, daddy said I always smile when someone strokes my cheek, then he told Maxine thanks for watching me then she said anytime I love watching Ari. We went into the elevator and daddy looked at me and said, "Wow Ari you had a busy but fun day." We went in the car, daddy buckled me up then I started to fuss again but as soon as daddy started the car and drove home, I can hear my daddy singing to me which always soothed me when I would be fussy.

We drive home and daddy said he couldn't wait to get home and tell mommy and papa the fun but busy day I had, I started to close my eyes and think how much I loved being busy with people who love me, I am one lucky little girl!
