What is this an actual update?! Yes, yes indeed it is my fellow readers, followers and favorites this is a new chapter and all I got to say is that I'm indeed sorry that I took so long to update this. I been so focused on my new story 'The Carmine Effect' that I didn't have the time to write a new chapter for this one. But now that I had some sort of time I bring you a new chapter. So I'll stop my talking and let you readers read below!

The following week Scorpion was outside the garden of his castle he was sitting next to her queen, Mileena was resting her head on her king's shoulder seeing their daughter play around with Skarlet around the pond. Scorpion was happy that he was enjoying the time with her family, but deep inside of him, he had other plans in mind.

He just received a message back from one of Reptile messengers that Baraka accepted the arrangement, but they also heard the Baraka's army headed to the east side of the Valley of the Dead, doubting now of the plan he arrange with Reptile and Ermac. 'I know he is planning something, but what if I'm wrong? What if he really wants peace?'

Mileena moved her head to look at her king, and she felt her king's rage rising within him, placing her hand on his Scorpion snapped out of his thought and looked into her queens orange eyes, taking a deep breath he relaxed and gave her queen reassuring her that he is fine now. Mileena leaned back her head to his shoulder.

"What's bothering you my love?"

"It's nothing to worry about Mileena."

"But Hanzo…"

Mileena was interrupted for she then saw her daughter jump on top of her laughing in joy wrapping her small hands around her neck yelling.

"Save me mommy, aunty is tickling me!"

"Oh why you! Running towards your parents won't help you Delia!"

Mileena was happy seeing her daughter and sister get along and looking at her king could see he is happy but deep in his eyes he seemed troubled, she knows something is wrong inside of him and wanting to talk to him more ended as soon until his king rose up from his seat and looked straight ahead of him. Looking at his direction saw Reptile walking towards him with a few fellow Raptor warriors following behind him and Ermac.

"My emperor it is time for us to leave."

Reptile said as the other Raptor warriors bowed their heads.

"Very well Reptile, I'll see you in the front entrance soon as I get my gear."

"My emperor."

Both Reptile, Ermac bowed their heads as also the Raptor warriors they began to walk away but Ermac stopped midway to look at Skarlet, Mileena looking at her sisters expression she taps her on her arm and Skarlet looked down on her.

"Go, will see you in the front entrance."

Skarlet smiled and walked towards Ermac as Mileena got up holding her daughter on her arms both king and queen began to walk towards their chambers.

Once reaching their Scorpion began to put on his gear, tighten his armor check they were right for his mobility, reaching over he grabbed both of his Mugai Ryu blades checking the sharpness of his blade looked that it couldn't been better fine and sharp, and last but not least his Kunai grabbing it he placed it on his hip all geared and ready.

"Where is daddy going?"

Delia asked as she was confused to see his father putting on his gear, Mileena was about to explain to her daughter why her father is leaving but saw Scorpion walking towards her and looked at her daughter.

"Your father haves to go deal with some bad people sweetheart."

"Is he a bad, bad person daddy?"

"Yes Delia, he is and it's my job as emperor to stop him."

"Is he going to take you away from me daddy?"

"Delia."

Mileena said last seeing her daughter started sobbing it hurt her heart seeing her daughter cry not understanding the reasons why his father has to leave. But although she is young she can still understand what is going on, she could feel the same pain as she is feeling right now, setting her down kneeling besides her daughter trying to comfort her saw her king come close besides her also and wipe away the tears off her daughter eyes.

"Delia, my daughter, there is no reason to cry. This is your father's duty and responsibility to protect our people but also to protect you and your mother. Now, don't shed any more tears for me, I promise you that I will come back."

"P-p-promise?"

Scorpion saw her daughter orange eyes staring at him, wrapping his arms around her he scooped her up and hugged her daughter dearly, Delia wrapped her father's neck tightly not wanting to let go as she kept on sobbing more. Scorpion kept hugging her daughter as he looked at her queen.

"I promise you and your mother, that I will return Delia."

Delia just hugged her father tighter not wanting to let go, Scorpion looked at Mileena and grabbed her hand as they both began to walk toward the front entrance of the castle. Once making it there Scorpion saw Reptile and his Raptor warriors behind him waiting, Ermac was also ready standing besides Skarlet.

"The ships and our forces are ready to move on your orders Scorpion."

Reptile said, Scorpion nodded his head as he said.

"Good, begin as we planned we move now."

"My emperor."

Reptile bowed his head as he began to walk forward towards the ships, Ermac bowed his head to Scorpion and also began to walk following behind Reptile. Scorpion watched as he saw his friends and soldiers walking down the road, but he turn around to look at his family once more before he left, but saw her queen walked up to him.

"What is it my queen?"

Milieena knew deep in her heart that he didn't want him to leave; she didn't want her king, her husband and father of her child to leave. She for the first time in her life was afraid, afraid of losing Scorpion forever. Shaking her head she walked up closer to him extending her arms she wrapped them around him as she hugged him embracing him one last time.

"I just want you to be careful out there."

"I'll be fine Mileena there is no difference of what we faced before."

"This is a war Hanzo! Not a tournament anymore anything can happen!"

Mileena snapped back at him and Scorpion stood still, seeing how her queen eyes started to water understood her reason well, yes he knew this was not a tournament, he knew it since the very beginning. Seeing her queen clenching her hands on his chest, Scorpion wrapped his arms around trying to ease her anger and heard her whispered into his ear for only he can hear.

"Please Hanzo just be safe out there, your daughter needs you still, but I need you the most so please come back to us soon my love."

Mileena moved a bit back and saw her kings white eyes; Scorpion couldn't take his eyes out of her he lifted his hand reaching under her veil placed it besides her face and looked at her, 'How could of I been foolish, I'm an emperor now, and who ever goes against me and my family deserves nothing but death!' Scorpion smiled under his mask finally realizing that there is no more doubts, he was no politician, who ever went against him, would have no mercy.

"I promise you and our daughter I'll come back didn't I."

Mileena could tell that her king changed his expression, she can always tell by looking into his eyes, nodding her head she looked at him.

"Yes you did, and you always kept your promises."

Scorpion said his goodbyes and began to walk down heading towards the ships, after a few minutes of walking he could see the view of his battalion, he can see the Raptor warriors sharpening their swords and axes against the Tarlatans', he can feel the intense carnage to face them once more against their common enemy.

Once he walked down he can see the Raptors instantly stopped of what they were doing and immediately stand in attention placing their right hand into a fist into their chest bowing their heads.

"It seems our emperor is here now."

Scorpion turned around and saw that it was Reptile and Ermac.

"Is our troops ready Reptile?"

"Indeed they are Scorpion, all 10,000 as you ordered."

"And the others are ready then?"

"Yes, they landed on the shores already yesterday, the other 5,000 soldiers are ready for are arrival."

Scorpion turned once more and saw her queen holding her daughters hand as they both kept eyeing him, nodding his head to her Mileena nodded her head seeing that the time has come.

"Let's move out Reptile. We have no time to waste."

Walking up towards the ship, he could hear the Raptor warriors marching into the ships, seeing that everyone was ready, Scorpion gave the order to advance as the ships started to move, he can see his queen and daughter departing away from him. Seeing that they were now out of sight Scorpion clenched his hand into a fist as a flame was quickly coming out of him.

"How long until we reach our destination Reptile?"

"In two days Scorpion it would be the exact day were you will have to talk to Baraka."

'Baraka!... I'll make sure I'll rip out your head and raise it up high for your fellow Tarkatan race see you die!' Turning his head towards the direction they were going, Scorpion looked around seeing his fellow Raptor warriors holding their weapons close to them. But what caught his attention was that all of their faces had a wide grin on them tapping their feet on the ground anxious of the incoming battle that they will face.

"Have most of this warriors been in actual Combat Reptile?"

"Some of them are experience in combat in our previous battles, but mostly half of them are new to war."

Scorpion nodded his head as he walked up closer of the ship as the Raptor warriors stopped what they were doing as they all looked up and saw their emperor above them they quickly rose to their feet and clinched their right hand into a fist and placed them into their left chest hearing him yell out to them.

"I know most of you here have been in battle before, I can tell by the scars and deep wounds you hold in you and that most of you here are new to war. Most of you here never experience how to kill a man, never shed and felt the blood in their hands in battle; most of you here never experience the burning flesh and rotting corpses."

Scorpion looked down at the Raptor warriors as they shook their heads.

"You guys are facing a common enemy that your people have faced before; do you guys remember what the Tarkatans did to your race? Do you guys remember the slaughter they brought upon you as they slaughter your wife's and children as they yelled victories of their battle! Do you remember what they did!"

The Raptor warriors began to clinch their hands into their weapons as they began to growl in anger, most of them still do remember the scenes but most of them heard them from their clan leader Reptile as how their race came close to extinction because of the Tarkatans.

"Now, their leader Baraka is asking of me to make a peace treaty to end this war the one war they started it and he wants to end it once and for all!"

He can see that they didn't like that, he can see the fire coming out of their eyes knowing to well that this is not something they came for, and this made Scorpion grin under his mask as he raised his voice louder and lifted his hand up into a fist as it engulf it in flames.

"But he will not get any peace from me! I faced this common foe once and I made the first mistake to letting him live once and I won't make the same mistake again! He dared to threaten to go up against me, but not only me but also my queen and daughter! He disserves nothing but death and his Tarkatan race also!"

He began to hear the Raptor warriors roar and hiss in lifting their weapons up in the air agreeing to their empeorors actions and they only got their bloods pumping even more as they heard him continue.

"It is time for the Raptor race to show the Tarkatan's that you are superior then they are! It is time you lift up your swords and slaughter as many of them as you can! Do not hold anything back! Show them no mercy as they didn't show any to you! Stab, cut, claw, bite, burn their skins out their flesh as they scream in pain, make them remember the mistake they made by going up against your queen and emperor of Outworld, but make sure to make them remember that the Raptor Race is not her for peace but for vengeance!"

Scorpion screamed as they roared even louder as they began to pound their fist into their chest speaking their native language and being by their side for so long Scorpion understood very well what they were yelling, they were yelling one name and one name only. Scorpion.

Looking down to his left Ermac bowed his head as he then turned his head to Reptile as he also bowed his head towards him. Walking up to him Scorpion placed his hand on his shoulder as Reptile raised his head to see his emperor.

"When we land we will continue as we planned understood."

"Understood my emperor."

"Then your race can show me how good of warriors you are in the battlefield."

Reptile put a grin on his face as he pull out his blade as he responded back to his emperor.

"You will witness the greatest slaughter in Raptor history my emperor, as no Tarkatan will be alive by the end of this war."

It sure is getting intense now. So hope you liked this chapter. I'll try to update as soon as I can really, So when I have spare time I'll write something for this story and keep updating. And NO this story is not dead, it still alive and kicking just haven't had the time. But I'll make sure to update though.
