It was fun writing chapter 2, now I'm more excited to bring you chapter 3!

All rights go to Natsume Matsumoto!

Is it supposed to be this quiet? I mean now that I look at it, it's piratically deserted out here. Yume told Mom she was going to meet me here by the Queen' s statue but it's already been five minutes. I looked up at her Majesty. Her eyes were closed and but she was looking down. Almost as if she was trying to look at me. It was kinda creepy. But I remember Yume telling me once that the first time you see the statue you pray to her. I chewed on my lip. Seriously? Does that mean I have to do it now? I looked around. Well there was no one here but me so I guess it wouldn't hurt.

I placed down my trunk and luggage and clapped my hands together. Queen of the Sweets Kingdom, please hear my voice. Please make my experience here worth it. While I want to expand my skills in baking, please make my time here memorable. Please...

"Praying to the Queen? Only up until years ago, a lot of students started doing so."

Behind me was a very beautiful girl who was taller than me, but gave off a young vibe and she was also very slim. She had long, platinum blonde hair and violet eyes. It was as if she was a princess from a foreign country. "You're Kashino Najika yes? My name is Tachibana Kami. I'm a first year student here and I'm also your new roommate! Nice to meet you Najika-senpai!"

Even though I'm also a first year student, I started school a year later than a normal student. On a whim, a few students would address me as 'senpai' and Tachibana-san was one of them. "Oh please," I told her. "There's no need to call me senpai. Just call me Najika, Tachibana-san."

She blinked and laughed. Gosh, even her laugh sounded cute, as creepy as that may sound. "How about I just add 'san' at the end of your name then, Najika-san? And you can call me Kami-chan if you'd like!"

I managed to smile. Okay, I'm glad the first thing she didn't say nor mention yet is that I'm Mom and Dad's daughter. This is a first. "Thank you, Kami-chan."

She smiled. "I never thought that I would meet you Najika-san." Forget what I thought earlier, here it comes. "I mean, you're parents were part of the middle school team that won the Grand-Pix right? I feel like it's an honor to be your friend!"

I see no point in trying to avoid her now. I swallowed the lump in my throat and reached to pet Astrid in my bag. Being able to at least touch her made me calm. Kami-chan seemed to catch my action. "Aw, that's so cute! Is it a wolf?"

"Yes. Her name is Astrid. She was, is my first... friend." I felt my cheeks flush. "It's okay if you think it's a little weird, I'm used to it."

"No, I think it's adorable! Truth be told, I never had a childhood stuffed animal before, but seeing someone at your age still attached to one is very interesting!"

Before I said anything else, another voice came from behind me. "Sorry Naji, I got held up by one of my teachers." Kami-chan looked up with surprise when I felt my sister's hand touch my shoulder. The uniform looked natural on her, it was made for her, really. Her golden hair was tied to the side and her eyes were shining like the sun. She grinned. "I'm guessing this is your roommate?"

"Ah, yes." I looked back at Kami-chan, who still looked star strucked. "Yume this is Tachibana Kami. Kami-chan this is my sister Kashino Yume."

Kami-chan clasped her hands tight over her chest before she spoke. "I-it's nice to meet you Kashino-senpai! My name is Tachibana Kami! Please take care of me!"

Yume laughed. "It's nice to meet you too Tachibana-san. I look forward to seeing you around the school. Are you both aware on where your dorms are?"

I opened my mouth to speak again, but Kami-chan exclaimed. "Actually, I was on my where there with Najika-san. But this is also my first time here, so I'm not sure."

"Well I was actually going to take my sister there so if you'd like, I can take the both of you."

No. Please, sis, as much as I love you, I really don't want to-

"Thank you, Kashino-senpai!" Kami-chan cheered. "I am very grateful!"

And here we go.

They're staring at us. Gosh they're staring at us. I drag my luggage behind me while Yume offered to carry my trunk full of letters. Here and there, there would be students who would stop to talk to her, admire her beauty. With Kami-chan next to her, they already seemed to be the most popular girls in school. And I'm just here. Great. As we walked, I held onto the locket my parents gave to me as a gift. My breathing steadied and I became more relaxed. Thankfully we arrived at the dorm. It was a simple room with two beds, desks, and closet space, a pink curtain dividing the space. I let out a breath as my sister and new friend walked in.

"Which side do you want, Najika-san?" Kami-chan asked.

There was really no difference between the two sides so it didn't matter to me. "The left side." I told her."

Yume strode over to my new bed and set down my trunk. "Well, I'll let you girls get settled. It's only the first day so class doesn't start until tomorrow. Naji, if you want, we could meet up later on for dinner with Kiyomi and the others. Kami-chan can come too."

Kami-chan looked overjoyed at first but became uncertain. "It's alright. I'd hate to trouble you."

"Nonsense," Yume protested. "It would be a good chance to you two to get to know each other."

I walked over to my sister. "That'd be great sis!" I leaned near her ear. "But do you think can keep my letters in your room? I just feel like they'd be safer with you."

She looked at me for a while, before taking the trunk. "Alright. I'll see you later then?"

I nodded and watched her walk out. I slowly sat on my bed and just sat there, taking everything in. "Your sister is amazing, Najika-san." Kami-chan sat across from me on her bed, her hands folded on her lap. "She's so nice and very pretty... Ah- you are too! You're very beautiful and very kind!"

I became slightly irritated but forced a smile. "Thank you."

"I wish I had a sister." She told me. "I'm an adopted child and I have an older brother. He's your age and in our grade, so you might see him around. But I still wish I had a sister. You're lucky."

Guilt washed over me. Kami-chan was persistent in her own way, but it really seemed like she was trying. I didn't want her to feel abandoned- I already know how that feels. I'd hate for anyone else to go through it. "I guess I am." I took Astrid out of my bag and placed her on my lap, stroking her grey fur.

"And your parents too. Having two famous patissiers as a mother and father. That must be incredible. I bet you've been baking since you were little?"

I nodded. "Actually though, I've been baking since I was eight. I always loved drawing more at first."

Kami-chan tilted her head. "Is that what you keep carrying around in your bag? A sketchbook?"

"Yeah. Um, I think I'm going to take a quick nap." I slipped my shoes and bag off and took removed my blazer. "I'm sorry, I'm just really tired. I didn't get any sleep last night so I might as well and make up for it."

"Ah okay!" Kami-chan got up hastily. "I think I'm just going to go around the campus. I'll see you later okay?"

I nodded faintly as I laid down on my bed, pulling Astrid close to my chest.

~xXx~

It was dark when I woke up. Well, not completely dark, but the sun was almost set. An orange hue dusted across the sky below the midnight blue blanket. I struggled to sit up from bed, a sting of drool coming from my mouth and pillow. Ah, great. I quickly wiped it off and looked around. 6:30PM. I reached for my bag and pulled out my phone. Two missed calls from Yume and three text messages from Kiyomi. I replied to both of them via text that I fell asleep and told them to go ahead and eat with out me.

I got up from bed and changed into an light orange colored one piece lace dress. The bodice was an overlay style and the skirt reached my knees. I slipped on white flats on my feet and slung my bag over my shoulder.

Kami-chan most likely went on without me so I just went along and searched for the dining hall myself. The inside of the school was ridiculous. If this were not a school, I would have expected a handful of butlers and maids. I looked around, hoping to find someone who can tell me were to go but I had no luck until I saw a figure at the end of the hallway. From a distance I could tell it was a boy and he had blonde hair with dark brown streaks. I stopped dead in my tracks. His eyes, those unforgettable eyes, the color of gold and blue rested on the girl in front of him. The tall, doll like girl with long platinum blonde hair and a gentle voice that was sharp as glass.

"Kami," the boy said softy. His face was expressionless and his hands stayed jammed in his pockets. "Please, we're at school and I would appreciate if you would restrain yourself from me."

I could just imagine Kami smiling judging by the way she sounded when she spoke to him. "And I would appreciate if you, Knight, would call me by my real name. You promised you would."

The boy she called Knight, sighed. "Calling you Kami is easier than calling you Persephone. It would be easier for the students and teachers as well."

Kami-chan leaned in closer to Knight. "If you can deny your Japanese name then so can I. Come on, I know you don't like it when I call you are called Mamoru."

"Kami," he put a hand to her shoulder and gently pushed her away. "You have to stop this. After all..."

My eyes widened in shock when I remembered what Kami-chan said to me earlier. I'm an adopted child and I have an older brother. So you might see him around.

"I am your brother."

Yeeahhhh, sorry bout that little plot twist! You could say incest BUT ITS NOT! They are adopted siblings and they're not related by blood so I honestly see no problem. But if it's a little too strange for you, I'm sorry but this is how the story is going!

Check back next time for chapter four! Thanks for reading!
