I know, I'm really really really sorry for the late update - but I promise the next ones won't take too long because actual things are starting. This fanfic will end soon so... :3 Oh well, it was fun, nyahahahaha. I wanted to write the graduation chapter (the epilogue) in advance since I had my graduation (elementary) two weeks ago but I just couldn't -

I'm sorry, I tried my best but this chapter... I'm warning you now - it's... mediocre compared to some others.

Enjoy~!

It's been three days since Kagami Taiga had transferred to Teiko Middle School, and he was already well-known in the campus for being a Miracle student's student and well... he was immediately recognized to be a somehow soon to be prodigy in basketball.

Well too bad, he had to join into a club where the Miracle students joined, and sad to say, he was easily beaten into a pulp.

It was the first time they had been so determined to bring someone down to the depths of isolation and defeat, and there was only one cause.

Kuroko Tetsuya.

It was a well-known name by now, for almost the whole of the student body knew that he was the very reason the Miracle students were accused of well... being both hot and gay.

If only Kagami Taiga had known that he was up against them in the battle of love, then he would have forfeited on the very first second it started, but hell no, he just had to be oblivious to that undeniably obvious fact.

Still, he couldn't help but marvel at the formidable aura of these miracles.

There was Akashi Seijuro, the son of the proponent of the Miracle Class and the captain of the basketball team, known for being talented in everything... though there are some rumours of him being a rather serious case of possessiveness. That much was evident to Kagami by now, judging the way he acted around Kuroko Tetsuya was exactly like that.

Then there was Midorima Shintarou, the weird horoscope obsessed maniac who had this habit of adding a weird accent to his words, nevertheless, Kagami knew his shooting ability was the real deal, definitely a formidable opponent in an exhibit of shooting skills.

And then followed Kise Ryouta, the seemingly clingy noisy one of the bunch, known for his flawless ability of copying other people's abilities, Kagami didn't really like that ability, but judging that he had played basketball a bit later than the others, he knew this one was a beast.

The center, Murasakibara Atsushi, he really didn't have much words to describe him except being awesome for managing to remain babyish and gluttonous at the same time with being a bastard in basketball, with all that "talent is what really matters, hard work is just stupid" attitude.

And there had to be the ace, Aomine Daiki. He was wary of this one, for not only was he one heck of a monster, but also one heck of a bastard when it comes to the competition for Kuroko's attention, he definitely knew he had to be careful with him. He definitely was not one who you could tame or please easily, nor is his trust won over easily.

And then there was that completely oblivious person, his "special someone", Kuroko Tetsuya. Not really his... not yet... or maybe he never will be his.

"Hey, you hear, it seems we have a practice match today..."

"I wonder who they'll send from the first string? Damn... they make us look like idiots..."

"In the end, they're the only ones who lead us to victory..."

Kagami Taiga didn't like how there was almost no sense of determination in the players' words, but he really couldn't blame them, after seeing them play, you couldn't help but feel useless, benched or not.

It turned out the opponent school was what you would deem as "standard". The players were well balanced in their own ways but of course in the end, Teikou's players and motto will crush all of them.

The match was to be held at the second-string gym, and of course, as one of the better ones in the second string, Kagami Taiga wasn't going to sit around. He was part of the starters, and he knew the match could start at any moment, if not for the current absence of the two players who are supposedly from the first string.

"Sorry to keep y'all waiting. We kinda... got into some trouble."

"Aomine-kun, please don't join me into your fault."

He knew those voices well-enough to recognize them even from this far, and to think he was jealous, it just pissed him off somehow.

"Damn... just because I broke the hoop doesn't mean they have to sue me every time I do it!" Aomine snapped and along with Kuroko, they went over to Momoi - the new manager of the team who had just transferred him by the same time he did - they were called on by her again for the usual briefing, Kagami knew it was about time he'd go too, after all, he was properly a starter, a player for the team.

Aomine Daiki was obviously not happy to see Kagami Taiga, and he didn't have any difficulty in showing so.

The two exchanged fiery glares, which Kuroko noticed. He immediately approached the two of them before a fight could up rise, he knew fighting was definitely not good before a match... especially between respective teammates.

"Umm... Kagami-kun, Aomine-kun, are the two of-"

"What's up with the glum face huh? I guess ganguros can be THAT angry they're not black anymore – they're red, oh wait I forgot you were a ganguro jerk."

"Why does my day have to be ruined by you and your stupid face? Not to mention the insults... what the fuck did I do to you?!"

Kuroko knew this was hopeless, and that his two teammates were hopeless. He just hoped for the coach or even Momoi-san, or some other person to stop them at any moment.

But... no one came.

"Well, first of all, Kuroko's mine, hands off bitch!"

"Well for your information, Bakagami Taiga, as far as Tetsu's concerned, I was his first student... I was his teammate first, and not to mention I kissed him. What did you do with him? Stare from far away drooling over him?"

"As far as the past is concerned, I knew him before he even knew you even existed!"

They were immediately brought to a stop however, when Kuroko... well... fainted.

Their faces in shock, they quickly approached the fainted boy's body (no perverted thoughts... I think.) and Kagami did the stupidest thing possible.

He was about to try the CPR, out of exaggeration and not knowing what to do, Aomine smacked him away and touched the boy's forehead. Shooting Kagami a glare before concernedly looking at Kuroko Tetsuya, looking at those eyes shut tight buried within the neat teal locks of hair.

"Tetsu... Someone!"

And to think he and Kagami were still selfishly fighting without considering Kuroko's feelings... he felt really at fault this time, and hoped that Tetsuya could forgive him for being so dumb.

The Generation of Miracles did not like this at all, they did NOT seem pleased with the fact that Aomine Daiki and Kagami Taiga left Kuroko Tetsuya to faint like that. They were all accumulated in Kuroko Tetsuya's room in the dorm, with the exception of Kagami Taiga, who wasn't a miracle student. They knew he should pay... but that had to wait for later. Kuroko Tetsuya always went first in their list of priorities.

"Daiki, would you care to explain what exactly happened?"

Aomine winced, he didn't know if he could manage to explain the whole thing while managing to stay alive. He hopefully looked at the other Miracle students, but he was only greeted with glares/ pleased faces (that he was about to experience hell), he was anticipating what his punishment would be this time.

"Well... Uh... you see... it all started when this idiot named Kagami Taiga started shoving insults in front of my face-"

"Kagami Taiga... that name is rather famous around the school, is it not?" Midorima Shintarou knew very well who this person was, he didn't even need to ask, he of all people would properly list down all his rivals for his valuable Aquarius without a bat of an eyelash... and he had long eyelashes.

"Ah, isn't he that shrimp who dared touch Kurochin the other day?"

Well... Kagami Taiga wasn't really a shrimp, but to Murasakibara, he was an even bigger shrimp, Kutoko paled in comparison. For Murasakibara Atsushi, someone who was shrimpier than the other meant that that person was dumber and "weaker" than the less shrimpy one... but well, in height, almost no one could argue that he was tall... really tall.

"Oh... that... Hehehehe, Kagamicchi tara, such a naughty bastard~" Kise cheered with a really eery tone, something rather unlike him, it even sounded sarcastic.

It all started the other day... when basketball practice ended.

~~~~!~~~~
After Teikou practice, they always had this habit of inviting Kuroko to join them to hit the showers... in separate cubicles of course.
Well, the weird part starts here.
Everything seemed normal at first, they were just having their quality bath time like usual, nothing different. Oh, and did I mention the elite first string members a.k.a the Generation of Miracles had this special washroom all to themselves? Simply speaking, poor Kuroko was alone with the Generation of Miracles, lucky him... or not?
Basically, if anyone step foot in there, it had to be one of the Generation of Miracles. If by chance someone enters who isn't a certified member, then that almost meant challenging the Generation of Miracles to a challenge. Well, there was a challenger.
He didn't necessarily want to be part of the Generation of Miracles, in fact he somehow detested them... just somehow, he just kept it in for that special someone.
"Hehehehe, wait till you see my brilliant plan, Generation of Miracles." he muttered to himself.
He sneaked into the locker room directly outside the shower room, (did i mention that he had miraculously remained unseen? He was so wishful that he was a step closer to Kuroko... wishful him.) He did as planned.
Step one... take Kuroko's clothes away... and smell them, wait scratch that, hide them away and make the Generation of Miracles angry once they find out.
Step two... when the Generation of Miracles are away and Kuroko is still sulking without the clothes, he gives him extra clothes and wins his favour, and they live happily ever after!
Step three... in case the Generation of Miracles have clothes to lend Kuroko (of course they probably do, they're the Generation of Miracles after all, they probably wouldn't let their dear shadow stay naked), either he runs away or... he does it the direct way.
In other terms... he'll touch Kuroko in front of the Generation of Miracles and die peacefully, at least he lived his life's last moments happily. He won't really have any problems with that... at least that's what he thought.
He took the clothes and was about to hide outside until that is... someone called out to him.
"Kagami-kun... what are you doing with my clothes?"
That ever-so-monotonous voice that used to shock the pants off of him back then, that habit he had of appearing randomly out of nowhere, to think he had this impeccable timing...
"Kuroko...? W-Wait, sh-sh-shit! This is not what it looks like! I just figured that... uh... your clothes needed a wash and you know, I was just about to enter the bath... and uh..." Kagami felt himself blushing, what a sight! He was seeing Kuroko Tetsuya... half-naked. His nose bled at the sight of it!
"Kagami-kun, this is the first string's shower room... and besides... I always knew you were that kind of person." Kuroko teased, and that was too much for Kagami. Kuroko was already shouting out cuteness overload which he couldn't take anymore, at any moment he could-
"Tetsuya, what's all the fuss about?"
"KUROKOCCHI RAN AWAY?! COME BACK HERE!"
It sounded slightly muffled, but Kagami could interpret the muffled sounds, and to think... Akashi Seijuro had to see him, not to mention he too was half-naked. Not like he cared... he cared more for his life at the moment.
"Humph, well well, if it isn't a soldier naked out in the battlefield, what a disgraceful sight, do not taint Tetsuya's eyes with them."
And so after that... you pretty much know what happened.
The next morning, one of the staff woke Kagami Taiga up saying it was already morning, whilst Kagami could only remember bits from last night.
~~!~~
The next morning...
And that is why Kuroko Tetsuya is currently having a high fever – not to mention bedridden, due to Bakagami's stupid rash actions, and they plan to execute plan: "Kill Kagami and neuter him".
"Yeah sure, kill that bastard." Aomine Daiki comments, and he is told to quickly shut up and to think of his wording before he speaks. Of course he couldn't do anything about it, being the person he was, for he was himself, and nothing could change that. No one.
"So, what course of action shall we take?" Midorima starts, and this is followed by rather brainless suggestions being terrifying in their own way. Some things like locking Kagami in the boys' comfort room or making him do menial tasks on behalf of their command and stuff, but of course these were ignored, for they were hardly sensible and "befitting" of Kagami Taiga, for he was all muscles and no brain... maybe only a bit, but still.
"Hmm... Can't we just forgive Kagamicchi? I bet he just felt inferior to our awesomeness and our closeness to Kurokocchi, so he did those sort of things..."
"Kisechin, whose side are you on anyway? Besides, if Akachin gives me permission, I'll crush him to a pulp." The purple-headed giant innocently looks at the said redhead, who knew that that innocent smile on the giant hid some intent which screamed out "BLOODSHED!"
"Ne, Akachin, can I?" he pleads with matching puppy eyes rivalling even those of Kuroko's natural ones.
"Hmm... No, Atsushi, it is not necessary for you to concern yourself in this, in fact... allow me to do the punishing."
Akashi Seijuro's idea of punishment was in no means screwed up, for his punishments were the perfect epitome of torture. He liked them slowly and painfully, and the easiest way to torture idiots without hurting them physically is of course... destroying their brain in an academically safe way.
"For the meantime, I leave Tetsuya in your hands, for I have unfinished business to deal with... if in case anything happens to him while I'm gone..."
They didn't need to hear the rest to understand, they took quick gulps and all nodded, of course they didn't want anything to happen to Kuroko Tetsuya, after all... they were his... dear people.
And so the "tending to Kuroko Tetsuya by fulfilling his needs" officially started at that moment.
"Now... as for Kagami Taiga..."
Kagami Taiga's entire day was boring without Kuroko Tetsuya, and the absence of his mentor was in kin with what would be so-called "torture". The whole day passed with him slacking off and sometimes staring dumbly at the teacher when he was asked a question, now he couldn't help but wonder about what his daily high school life would be if Kuroko hadn't been there for him. He had lived all those years without him- and he hated to admit it- but he terribly needed the guy.
Classes were over and he was starting to wonder whether or not he was supposed to proceed to the library – as he usually did due to his classes with Kuroko – for if it were normally him, he would never dream of visiting the library unless he was that desperate.
And so he did.
Guess who he found waiting for him with a menacing glare.
"So, shall we begin?"
The one and only Akashi Seijuro, being his mentor substitute.
He knew he had to live for Kuroko's sake, he was finally able to see him again after all those years, and yet... and yet...
"Damn, I can't take it anymore... ugh..." Kagami muttered, for his brain was already overloaded with the facts hammered into it by Akashi Seijuro, and to think he had to memorize more. Damn, it was tiring and stressful.
"Did you say anything? Is there any problem with my lessons? If in case you are that determined to learn, then I would have no problem increasing the difficulty-"
"No, please, you damn merciless evil god... please spare me..."
He did not in the least feel smarter, if said frankly, he felt dumber than ever, he felt this was even more mentally taxing than the final exams he took back in America and the qualification exams to this school as a whole, they were on a whole different level, he was starting to even wonder what his brain was capable of.
"Sorry Kuroko... I wasn't able to see you till the end..."
"Uwaa, Kurokocchi's so cute while he's asleep, I wish he could just be mine, if it just weren't for you people.."
"Silence, you'll wake him up nanodayo."
"And besides, Kise, how many times have you said that?" Midorima questions.
"A million?" At this answer, they all resist the urge to whack his airhead brain out of him.
"Ah, Kurochin's awake, I'll tell you all on to Akachin."
Normally they would wince hearing that they would (probably) get a scolding from Akashi but they were just worried about Kuroko, who had just meekly opened his eyes, still giving off the innocent aura he usually gave. His usual pale complexion was slightly flushed with red, and though he still spoke in his monotonous voice, it was still slightly weaker than usual, it didn't even seem to sound firm.
In fact, Kuroko Tetsuya was burning, and he felt like a sluggish piece of meat.
He had just awoken from his rather uncomfortable sleep, and seeing four people he knew very well looking very concerned about him in his wake didn't help in any way, as far as he knew.
"Everyone... what happened to class and club activities... the practice match? How long... was I asleep?"
"All day~! Come on, Kurokocchi, you were so cute we just couldn't resist!"
Kuroko is glad to see everyone in high spirits, also thankful that he wasn't much of a bother, he did worry about them not attending classes for his sake though, for plummeting of grades easily meant being removed from the Miracle Class.
"In the end, they won the match without us." Aomine says, this slightly saddened him though, for some reason, whenever he heard that the continuous victory streak of Teikou was maintained... he didn't know why but he just felt... sad.
Why exactly was completely foreign to him.
"Besides, classes aren't really a big deal, what's important is your well-being, I can just copy their homework later." Aomine reassures, sensing the change in the atmosphere earlier, though it really doesn't sound reassuring to normal ears, however in Kuroko's, it just meant that Aomine was his usual lazy kind self.
"Says the guy who suggested attending classes for Kuroko's sake." Midorima sarcastically adds.
"Hey! Akashi told us he would take care of that! And besides, you have no right to talk about me like that when you yourself went all worried about how Kuroko was. Like how you had to cook burnt-"
Midorima did not see that it was necessary and before he noticed, Kuroko found himself stifling a soft laugh which so hardly wanted to be let out, the thought of Midorima cooking for him- not to mention it being a failed attempt – felt rather heart-warming and funny at the same time, he did however note that the thought was what counted, and thus Midorima Shintarou was now thinking that his effort wasn't in vain after all.
Seriously though, they did wonder why Midorima burned it this time, as far as they knew, he was good at cooking, so they didn't see any reason on why Midorima would fail at a "simple" dish called "rice porridge".
Unless...
"Kurochin, just so you know, Midochin watched you carefully while you were sleeping, he looked very worried that he didn't talk about horoscopes the whole day~"
...
...
"Oh! Now that you mention it!" They all get into a wave of chuckling, and Midorima tries to shut them up – all in vain, he feels the foolishness more when he sees even Kuroko laughing at him, letting out a small chuckle himself, though he is glad to see the bluenette is fine, he couldn't help but wish that that chuckle didn't happen, not that he could do anything about it though, in fact, he needed quite some room to laugh himself.
"Besides, I don't know how to cook nanodayo!" Midorima, just having noticed that he had revealed a flaw of himself yet once again, clamped his mouth shut and once again opening it with words following up on how that wasn't what he had meant.
The mood had livened up, and although Kuroko couldn't seem to say anything and join the conversation – he was happy just like that, truly relieved that nothing had happened while he was unconscious, also being really thankful that there wasn't a blood massacre.
"...Now that you mention it, where's Akashi-kun?" He starts out of curiosity, perhaps due to the fact that perhaps it was Akashi's absence didn't make anything happen, he didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea though, so he kept quiet about it. Akashi was already misunderstood a lot from the start, well...
Not like he understood much about him either.
"... Well, he left this morning saying he had business to take care of, I think he mentioned Kagamicchi though... not sure if I heard it right, but he seemed to be really angry and scary for some reason..."
"Eh? Didn't Akachin say not to tell Kurochin-"
"It's too late for that," Midorima sighs, and Kuroko starts to understand. "Kagami-kun's in danger." was what the entire situation screamed out, though he surely didn't have much of a say in this, for he himself was a victim of Kagami's foolishness – he had just remembered the events from that night and he shuddered at the thought, the chill was still there, and he was starting to get scared of even exposing a part of doesn't see how he could be of help to Kagami though, being guarded like this and all... not to mention he still felt feverish, which was partly Kagami's fault in the first place.
"Tetsu, don't worry about him, he can handle himself, that guy... You're what's important right now, we're the ones by your side right now, not Bakagami Taiga."
Someone's jealous, they all thought to themselves, though vexing enough to say, they were jealous too, for ever since the arrival of this creature/ untameable beast/ rival (he was worthy to be called that now) named Kagami Taiga, they couldn't seem to do anything about their feelings, and they never seemed to get the chance to reach Kuroko like they used to. They were starting to get impatient, and they all thought the same – that now was the time.
"Okay, this is our chance to show Kurokocchi that we're here for him whenever he needs us too!" Kise enthusiastically proposes, and there's this moment when they're all impressed by these words – looking up to them – until that is, Kise takes out this frilly dress.
"For the meantime, Kurokocchi, you need to change clothes~!"
"I swear you have a loose screw in your brain somewhere Kise, it has to be something a bit more comfortable... make it a bit more prone to exposure or something..."
They all felt that there was no need to feed these people's satisfaction, though Kuroko does point out that Aomine and Kise have the capabilities of prattling about it all day.
"Silence, Akashi left me in charge to make up for his absence, and I wouldn't hesitate by any means to zip your mouths, even if it means handing over a request to Akashi for increasing both your training menu and your homework nanodayo." Midorima says authoritatively, though it is obvious whose sake he is doing this for. This method proved to be quite fast and effective, for the two who had been fighting like cat and dog earlier now had their mouths clamped shut, they both apologize and Midorima asks Kuroko to sleep, for at this rate, he wouldn't get sufficient rest.
"Yeah, good idea Kurokocchi, so that we can all see your sleeping face-" He sees glares stabbed at him so he covers it up by saying that they were all really worried, cause in all honesty, they were.
"We should take our leave, or else Kuroko might never sleep for eternity like you all wish him to be."
No one protested to that – for they made sure that they would take pleasure over that later – if not for Midorima snapping them out of their thoughts like how he was supposed to, or so he said. Some peace was good at times – Kuroko thought.
But not hearing the voices of the people dear to him almost made him think he would lose them at any moment.
In the end, he had to change his clothes himself – talk about what that argument was for.
Momoi Satsuki – having gone this far – just shoved sentiments away, emotions wavering, she reassured herself that everything would be alright – and that this would all end soon.
"Tetsu-kun looks like he's having a bad dream..."
Seeing the sleeping face of Kuroko Tetsuya, she couldn't help but feel so unlucky on having a different destiny than what she had wanted – she wondered what would have happened if she had attended Teikou earlier and she had been friends with Kuroko – she wouldn't have to do this.
I'm sorry.
She had done her mission – she had no reason to be here anymore, if in case Kurok had known about her presence – she wouldn't know how to face him, she couldn't bring herself to.
"Tetsuya –"
She quickly hides under the bed and listens carefully – deciding to make her move later for she didn't want to commit any mistake, for that would be the end of her.
Unmistakably – it was him, one of the biggest threats to the plan... Akashi Seijuro.
"It's no use – wherever you run, I'll be chasing your shadow – I'll find you wherever you go."
He runs with all he has – he's running for his life, leaving a trail of footsteps tainted red with blood – it frightens him, the pursuer frightens him even more – for true enough, he was alone, and he had nowhere to run to. He couldn't breathe, he couldn't move – he couldn't run away.
He was trapped.
"Mmf... Please... let me go-"
"I wouldn't let you, dearest, after all... you're mine – you belong to me, so I don't take orders from what is mine."
Equally red ribbons trap him to his current spot – restraining him of any possible chance of escaping, he feels the dark world disappear – along with the figure in the darkness, he feels it is so distant for some reason.
"Goodbye dear, see you in hell."
"No, pleas-"
"Oh you won't be alone," the female voice chuckles evilly, as if whoever it was had truly won.
"Your friends will be with you – and they'll be burning with you, being incinerated to nothing but remains of what you used to be... Tetsuya."
"Tetsuya!"
Kuroko wakes up gasping for breath, desperately trying to get a grip of himself, he even looked at himself to see for himself if it had really been a dream and only that – and then he sees red, he tries not to scream, and they are muffled by a hand covering his mouth, they are familiar, the voice as well.
"Tetsuya... it's alright..." The voice comforts as the hand covering his mouth blends further into the darkness, he looks carefully to see Akashi Seijuro who was by his side, watching over him.
"Akashi-kun, what was I...?"
"You were calling out our names – don't worry Tetsuya, everything will be alright – we're here, as you can see, someone is snoring quite loudly." Akashi amusedly adds, and Kuroko – recognizing Kise's loud old noisy snores, he felt slight relief – but he still couldn't seem to convince himself that it was nothing but a figment of his imagination – that voice, that person, he knew that person from somewhere.
"ZZZZZZZZZ!"
He feels warmth in his eyes and he finds tears brimming – blurring his vision, he had never given in to his emotions – why now? In front of Akashi Seijuro too – he wasn't supposed to act like this.
Yet... why? Is there even an answer?
"It's alright Tetsuya, I'm here... there's nothing to be afraid of..."
He finds himself enveloped in Akashi's embrace, his face so close to his chest he feels the heartbeat, he feels his own too – accelerating fast, pounding strongly, he feels a surge of warmth come over him - the tears don't stop, but his screams inside did.
"You don't understand Akashi-kun, they... she threatened to... She used your voice... it was scary – it was as if Akashi-kun had been in that person."
"No, I would protect you Tetsuya, no matter what it takes; I wouldn't do such a thing." Akashi is sure, for he would never dream of taking the life that held most value to him – even over his own life. "I'll stay by your side, I won't let anyone lay a finger on you – anyone, no matter who it is, I wouldn't hesitate to do anything for you."
"Akashi-kun..."
"Now, shall I lull you to sleep with the dream of what is so-called today?"
"...Yes, please – hearing Akashi-kun's voice puts me to ease..."
Kuroko curls up and starts to listen as Akashi describes the day – how Akashi viewed the concern of the others, and his normal daily routine. Kuroko had found out a lot about Akashi – not to mention he found himself forgetting his worries and chuckling along the way – he was truly grateful, if only thank you could be said a million times – then he might have done so.
"And then Kagami Taiga pulls this rather idiotic expression, such immatureness – really Tetsuya, how did you put up with a moron like him?"
"...Akashi-kun, am I a moron?"
"...You might be one, Tetsuya – in a good way, you're a moron for thinking I would leave you like that."
"Akashi-kun..." Kuroko feels himself blush, eyes wandering to the view of the night sky from the window beside his bed – there were quite a lot of stars watching over them tonight.
"Akashi-kun, what would you wish upon if you had one wish, aside from how you would want more wishes that is-" Kuroko pulls of a small smile, for that was what everyone answered – only he had forgotten Akashi Seijuro was different.
"If only you knew Tetsuya – if only you knew. What about you?" Followed by a sigh from Akashi, Kuroko was about to ask until he had heard the question – he didn't even need to consider for another second – his wish was simple, really.
"... I would wish for more time with Akashi-kun and the others... This is all bound to end – to me the times we spend together – all that chaotic chaos... – its value surpasses that of all I could have – and I don't want to lose it, not just yet."
"Tetsuya – do you want these times to last forever?"
"Yes, I do Akashi-kun, I deeply wish so." Kuroko selfishly replies, and he was feeling hopeful – even if he was Akashi Seijuro, he couldn't make everything happen – he couldn't grant every wish, he was no wish granter no matter whose wish it was – they both knew that.
"Tetsuya – I could make them last forever... if that's what you want, then I wouldn't hesitate to eliminate anything in the way-"
"Akashi-kun, you're lying, you know too right? That you couldn't do it?"
Akashi's lips purse – he is unable to say anything, in the end Kuroko would see through him, and he would have to try not to admit defeat – he so desperately tried and yet...
He found himself falling and falling into his emotions' trap even further, sucking him deeper until nothing is left – there is nothing left of the absolute one – only a vulnerable Akashi Seijuro.
"Tetsuya, I-"
But when he had seen those eyes tightly shut – pulling him to deep slumber, he doesn't go on any further, and all that is left is a hand to hold – Kuroko Tetsuya's hand, tender and unknowing of the world's terror – how Akashi wished it would stay that way.
"People are after him – he's not going to come out alive if you accept the facts."
Even so – he would go against the odds – he didn't want to lose the person who taught him to care for others – he didn't want to lose him when he still hadn't said what he wanted to say all along.
"I just want you to be mine – I want our times together to last for eternity."
He whispers so into the bluenette's ear, making sure he wouldn't hear – but there was no such content or sense of achievement... for he would remain unheard – he had made up his mind, but now he would like this peace to last for at least one night – in the end it had only faded into the wind, being blown farther and farther away until there is no remnant of it.
"Good night Tetsuya, sleep well."
It was the next morning when Kuroko Tetsuya had found the note on his desk – he had questioned the content of course – and curiosity got the best of him – was this a warning or a threat he didn't know.
If you don't want your friends – the Generation of Miracles – to lose their lives, then surrender yourself and come to the rooftop two weeks from now, ten o' clock at night – any tardiness will result to immediate cancellation of the deal.
He had refused to believe it at first – however considering recent events, he was starting to realize that perhaps this was all happening because of him after all – and it was his job to end it once and for all.
I can't drag the others into this...
"You living up to this day is a miracle – "
Excruciating pain followed and he started seeing flashing images come to him – no longer holding back, he had let them in.
My memories... are coming back?
