Chapter 9

Nico POV
When Charlie said those words Clarisse, Katie, Connor, Travis, Thalia and I all started to crack up laughing. We were laughing so hard that we were rolling around on the floor with tears streaming down our faces.
People were looking at us like we had all of a sudden needed to go to a mental hospital. Even the monster army was looking at us like we were crazy, even to them. But the thing that confused most people was that I was not only smiling, but I was laughing like there was no tomorrow. They all knew that I never ever did that because I was a son of Hades.
We were watching Percy, Harry and Charlie with interest at what was going to happen next. We were still trying to hold our giggles and chuckles in. This was very hard indeed. Every second someone would let out a laugh and we would all burst out laughing all over again.
Percy noticed this and gave us a wink. We broke out into big grins that he still acted like the old Percy we knew. We were hoping he hadn't changed from the laid back boy that we loved into some harsh person over the time we hadn't seen him. But nothing had changed. He would probably still be the big Kelp Face he always was. This was good because that means me and Thalia can still tease him and call him nicknames.
Kronos' POV
While Charlie, the stupid Son of the Sea God, started an argument with the two little kids that apparently defied the most important and greatest hero to ever have walked the planet, I went to have a talk with my mother Gaea.
We hadn't talked since we lost to the Gods in the first Titan War and that was over two millennia ago. I'm not sure whether I wanted to see her though; her feelings would probably be mutual.
When I found her at the back of the army in the temporary battle strategy tent she looked worried. She had that look on her face that said something was wrong. According to every monster, giant, death eater, Primordial and titan alive I am not one to understand feelings and emotions, but she is my mum and I know when something's wrong with her. As every child does with their mum.
She walked up to me stiffly and said, "I've just had a vision."
"What about?" I asked her. Worried because my mum never has visions unless something really bad is about to happen.
"I saw the two little kids over there, the ones that stood up to Charlie before, defeat the whole army with the flick of their hands." She replied.
I was stunned. No one could do that, not even me the all-mighty Kronos, King of the Titans, could do that. Especially no one that young would be able to do that. She must have been wrong but my mother's visions are never wrong.
Gaea interrupted my thoughts by saying, "I have a feeling that exact thing won't happen but they would be able to do it if they wanted to."
It was just to shocking to register that we might not actually win this battle. I those two kids were able to do that then there's really no point in a battle. We would lose to many monsters and death eaters.
I stopped because I realized I was actually thinking like a nice person would. We certainly cannot give up because everyone will think I have gone soft. Not a good thing. We must keep up the battle before anyone thinks I'm nice.
Then I asked the most obvious question of all questions, "how?"
Hi RiverStone here. Sorry I took a while. I got back to school and have been busy with that.
Thx
