Sorry about the extremely slow update process. I have already stated my reasons as such and hope you all understand! Hopefully with summer vacation approaching for college in the next month or so, I should be back for my usual updates. Until then, you guys are going to have to hang on tight!
Anyways, on with the story!
==Los Angeles, California, United States==
Shane woke up in the morning with a tingly feeling in his stomach. He smelled flowers and opened his eyes to find strands of brunette hair in his face. While Shane himself was a brunette, he didn't have enough hair to cover his entire face. He felt another naked body push up against him and then realized he was naked as well.
That's when he remembered that Julie Ward had come back to his room after the party. He didn't remember much from last night mainly because everything happened in such a blur that his mind couldn't catch up to his thoughts. He smiled subtly to himself and pulled her closer towards him.
As he relaxed in bed with her, he noticed his clock on the nightstand. He didn't think much of it until he was fully awake to make out the digits. It was 7:45 in the morning and well past the time that Shane was supposed to wake up to start his classes. He didn't want to startle or upset her, but he had a test to take in the morning. He hopped out of his bed and ran to his dresser.
Julie stirred as she noticed Shane in a rush. She frowned and sat up on his bed.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"I...uh...I have to go." Shane stammered.
"What do you mean you have to go?"
"I have class!" Shane exclaimed.
"You're blowing me off for a class? This is college, Shane. You can skip!"
"But I Have a test." Shane explained.
"So why did you hook up with me last night if you knew you had a test this morning?"
"Because you were a really amazing girl!"
"Were?" Julie scoffed.
"Sorry, I mean 'are'! Just a slip of the tongue." Shane facepalmed.
"Yeah, sure." Julie mumbled.
"I mean, you're amazing and all, but my grades matter!"
"I see what this is all about." Julie said. "You just wanted some sleazy one-night stand to please that thing between your legs and then you would pretend nothing ever happened afterwards."
"No, that's not it at all!"
"Then explain why you're just getting up and bolting out of the room."
"I'm telling you I have a test!" Shane exclaimed. "I don't know how much more English I can use..."
"So then admit that you only hooked up with me for a one-night stand!" Julie shouted.
"That's not true at all! I thought we would both be awake or something and hang out afterwards of whatever..." Shane scratched his head.
"That's what they all say..." Julie sniffled. "Why do guys like you have to exist? All you people like to do is take advantage of girls like us and then leave us after you've led us on."
"You were the one who was willing to come with me." Shane fired back.
After those words left his mouth, he knew he would regret it. He didn't intend for it to be offensive in any way, but there was no taking back what he said. He could already see the tears form in Julie's eyes. Shane instantly knew that he had just offended the most beautiful girl he had seen in a while.
"Julie, that's...that's not what I meant." he mumbled. It was too late, he could see the heartbreak in her eyes.
"You can go fuck yourself." she said angrily and threw her clothes back on. As she walked past him, she kneed him in the groin and left his room.
Shane fell on his knees after feeling the intense pain between his legs. He never considered himself to be the type of guy to deliberately offend anyone, so he had no idea what went through his head as he was talking. Through shame, he had to get up and put his clothes on.
He groaned as he picked his shirt up off the floor. The pain from Julie's knee was still lingering, but most of it was emotional rather than physical. He deserved every second of what she had done to him. He pissed her off and he could see it in her eyes.
The worst pain, however, was seeing Julie's tears. Knowing that she had put some faith in him and watching it crash down was too much to handle. Shane knew he had done her wrong and couldn't even get the chance to apologize. He didn't have her phone number and he didn't knew where she was heading. If he even cared the slightest, he would have asked. Then, she may have seen that he was for real.
He managed to put his clothes on, despite displaying a frown through the whole ordeal. When he met her, he thought that their relationship could have turned into something more than just a petty one-night stand. Unfortunately, that would not be the case because of his bad choice of words.
He strapped his black backpack on and threw on a pair of red Vans shoes. He checked himself out in the mirror to make sure that he looked at least presentable to whoever chose to sit around him in class. Everything about Julie and what had happened in the past few minutes had to disappear from his mind. It was a weekday and it was no time to think about anything serious. With a heavy sigh, he left his room and headed off to class.
If there was one thing that he was not about to fuck up, it was his test.
