Previously in HTTYD: The Terrible Duo
Every Viking fled for their lives as the giant dragon rampaged.
"Beard of Thor! What is that?!"
Stoick could only say one thing...
"Odin help us..."
At the Dragon's nest
They were supposed to be victorious(At least, that's what they think they should be). They were supposed to kill every dragon they find and force them to leave berk alone. Now they're running for their lives as the giant monster rampaged. It had destroyed their catapults and burnt their ships. Now how are they supposed to get out of here?
"Smart that one." Gobber said, facing Stoick.
"I was a fool." Stoick muttered(A/n: Really? I haven't noticed.).
"Lead the men to the far side of the Island!" He commanded Spitelout, who complied quickly.
"Gobber, Go with the men!" Stoick told Gobber.
"I think I'll stay, just in case you're thinking of doing something crazy." Gobber replied.
"I can buy them a few minutes if I give that thing something to hunt." Stoick said
"Then I can double that time." Gobber replied with a smirk. Both men looked at each other before facing the giant dragon.
"Here!" Stoick taunted.
"Oh, no! Here!" Gobber taunted as well.
They both charged with a battle cry and Stoick grabbed one of the sticks and threw it at the monster's face, which it then turned its attention towards them.
"Come on! Fight me!" Gobber taunted
"No! Me!" Stoick protested.
The dragon, having been irritated by the annoying Vikings, reared its head and prepared to release hell on them.
Stoick and Gobber know they won't survive such an attack. But if it can buy the others some time, they'll try anyway. The dragon was about to fire until...
BOOM!
An explosion cut off the dragon's attack and the dragon roared in pain.
Stoick didn't know what happened, but what he saw was truly stupendous...
With Marcus
You know, I had thought I've already seen stupid. But seeing Stoick and Gobber trying to fight that monster? That was beyond stupid...
Anyway, We managed to cut the monster's attack off with a blow to the head. But it merely staggered it. But I'll worry about that later... We need to find Toothless and Bolt... My thoughts were then interrupted by Hiccup.
"Ruff, Tuff watch your backs! Move, Fishlegs!" Hiccup barked at them.
"Look at us! We're on a dragon! All of us!" Tuffnut shouted at the stunned Vikings below.
"Up! Let's move it!" Hiccup commanded.
I looked down and saw Stoick and Gobber looking at us with a shocked expression(At least, that's hat I thought).
"Fishlegs! Break it down!" Hiccup told Fishlegs.
"Okay! Heavily armored skull and tail used for bashing and crushing! Steer clear of both. Small eyes, large nostrils! Relies on hearing and smell!" Fishlegs stated, nervously.
That's Good... I guess?
"Ok, Lout, Legs! Hang in it's blind spot, make some noise, keep it confused!" Hiccup ordered them before turning to the twins. "Ruff, Tuff, find out if it had a shot limit! Make it mad!"
Make something mad? They don't need to be told twice.
"That's my specialty!" Ruffnut said.
"Since when?! Everyone know I'm more irritating! See?" Tuffnut argued, flipping his Zippleback head upside down and made a face to his sister. I rolled my eyes.
"Just do what I told you! We'll be back as soon as we can!" Hiccup said before the others left to face the giant monster.
"Don't worry, We've got it covered!" Snotlout yelled.
I turned my head towards the burning boats and searched for Toothless and Bolt. Hiccup managed to spot them and yelled, "There!".
Me and Hiccup jumped off of Stormfly and Hiccup told Astrid to help the others. We rushed towards our dragons and got rid of the muzzles.
"Okay! Hold on!" Hiccup told Toothless.
"I'll get you out of here, Bolt." I told Bolt.
We grabbed some steel rods and tried to pry off the chains from them. I gritted my teeth as I struggled to get rid of the chain, only to no avail.
Just then, The mass fell near us and we yelped as we jumped out of the way. It got worse when the monster's huge paw slammed down onto the ship and sent us all underwater.
I mentally panicked(Okay, Completely panicked) when I saw Toothless and Bolt sinking down. No! They have been taken away from us once, We will not let them be taken away again!
Me and Hiccup swam down and tugged on the chains as hard as we can...
Alas, It was no use...
M eye started to get blurry and I started to feel light-headed. Suddenly, A hand grabbed me by the collar and threw me to the surface. I coughed out some water and noticed Hiccup was beside me, coughing up water as well.
"Dad?" Hiccup said.
To our surprise, Stoick jumped back down to the water...
Seconds later, we had gotten worried...
Imagine our surprise when we saw Toothless carrying Stoick, followed by bolt. The both shook off any excess water. The two of them barked at us and motioned to the battle.
"You got it, bud."
"Let's end this, Bolt."
Before getting on Bolt, I turned to look at Stoick. "I'd thank you for saving our dragons, but you still haven't earned my apology for earlier, Stoick."
Stoick seemed to flinch at my words but I ignored it and got on Bolt. Hiccup and I strapped ourselves on and prepared to take off.
"Hiccup!" Stoick suddenly shouted and grabbed hiccup's hand.
"I... I'm sorry. For everything." Stoick said.
I smirked. Those words seem like music to my ears.
"Yeah, me too." Hiccup replied
"You don't have to go up there." Stoick said.
Hiccup paused for a moment before smirking. "We're Vikings. It's an occupational Hazard."
Stoick clasped hiccup's hand in his and said, "I'm proud to call you my son."
Hiccup looked surprised with a mix of happiness. "...Thanks, Dad." He replied.
Hiccup and I nodded to each other and took off.
Now we face the queen...
"Think we can beat that thing, Marcus?" Hiccup asked me.
After thinking for a moment, I shrugged. "Don't know. After all, What's life without risks? But one thing for sure! If I'm dying, I'm taking that thing with me!" I yelled.
Hiccup seemed unsure of my answer there... Meh...
With Astrid
They were barely holding off the monster's rampage. 'That thing is smart, I'll give it that.' Astrid thought.
Astrid then saw two figures coming up. It was Hiccup and Marcus.
"They're up!" Astrid shouted.
The others followed her lead and circled the red death.
"Get snotlout out of there!" Astrid ordered at the twins.
The twins then argued on who gets to rescue Snotlout. Snotlout managed to get on them and out of the red death's head.
They managed to escape. But the Red death tried to suck Astrid and Stormfly in its mouth.
Astrid tried to get away but the force was too strong...
Until it got a Night Fury's plasma blast to the head, Followed by a Skrill's lightning bolt.
Astrid fell off of Stormfly and was now screaming. A certain dragon managed to gab Astrid's leg. It was Bolt!
"Did you get her?" Hiccup asked
"Yeah, Yeah. I did. Stop worrying." Marcus replied.
Bolt landed Astrid back to the ground and quickly flew away to fight the monster.
"Go." Astrid whispered to the two.
Back on Marcus's POV
We managed to get Astrid away. Now it's just us and it.
"That thing has wings! Okay, Let's see if it can use them!" Hiccup said and we dived down.
We shot towards the red death and Toothless fired a Plasma blast at it.
It hit it between the wings and its head and it fell down.
"You think that did it?" Hiccup asked.
My eye widened when The red death opened its wings and took flight and gave chase.
"Well what do you know? Big glutton can fly." I remarked.
We sped up and tried to get away from the giant dragon. We dived through a sea stack but the dragon merely smashed it with its head.
I growled in annoyance as the dragon merely smashed through stack through stack without showing any signs of slowing down.
'That thing has a really hard head.' I thought.
"Hiccup, We can't fight it head on. Let's go for the more stealthy approach." I said.
Hiccup caught my drift and nodded. "Alright, Toothless. Time to disappear."
"Let's see if that big queen can catch us in our territory, Bolt." I told Bolt.
We shot up and went up in the clouds where it cannot see us.
The red death got ready to shoot fire at us.
"Here it comes!" Hiccup shouted
We managed to dodge the fire. We flew up higher until we were under the cover of the dark clouds. I smirked. That thing won't catch us here.
We took turns on attacking its wings. First was Toothless then followed by Bolt. One by one, We shot them alternately.
The queen roared in anger and fired its breath all around us.
"Watch out!" Hiccup shouted.
The fire managed to burn Toothless's make shift tail and...
"Gah!" I screamed in pain.
The fire managed to catch the cloth that was covering my eye. I ripped it off and threw it away. My damaged eye then slowly bleed from the burn. I hissed in pain.
Okay... The forcing dragons to feed it and even resorting to cannibalism was one thing... But this just got way more personal!
"Marcus! You alright?!" Hiccup shouted. I nodded... This battle's not over yet!
"Okay, Time's up. Let's see if this works."
We dived down back to the beast and I growled in anger at the sight of the disgusting thing.
"Come on! Is that the best you can do?!" Hiccup taunted.
I grinned madly as blood trickled from my face. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA! You're a fat abomination and a disgrace to the name dragon! I'll make you burn in hell!" I yelled at it and Bolt followed with a Lightning blast to its face.
The red death took the bait and gave chase as we did a dive.
It may seem bad, But we do have a plan.
Hiccup told me about the fact that dragons, though theirs scales prevent fire from damaging them, are vulnerable when said fire got in them. We also wondered what happened what would happen if we combine Toothless's Plasma blast and Bolt's Lightning Shot.
Needless to say, We're taking a risky chance here. But hey, Since when did we didn't?
"Hold, Toothless." Hiccup said.
'Just a little more...' I thought
The dragon opened its mouth. 'There!'
Toothless and Bolt turned around and simultaneously fired. Toothless's blast went first then followed by Bolt's lightning blast. The gas inside the dragon was extremely flammable. So if we cut it off with another explosion while it's still in the dragon's mouth, It will go boom.
Now time to get out of here!
We then pulled up as the red death's face collided with the ground.
BOOM!
The queen exploded into an inferno like from Hel itself. 'Good Riddance.' I thought.
Of course it seems We're not out of the fire yet. Literally.
Desperate to get out, We maneuvered through its spikes and tried to get away as far from the explosion.
To mine and Hiccup's horror, Toothless's make shift tail got completely torn off. The monster's club like tail is right in front of us. Me and Bolt managed to get out of the way.
Sadly, Hiccup and Toothless were not as lucky as we were...
"No..." Hiccup mumbled.
The tail hit Hiccup and Toothless. Hiccup was then rendered unconscious.
I gasped and pulled back. Bolt roared in protest but I wasn't going to let my Best human friend die.
"HICCUP!" I shouted. I tried so desperately to reach them... But my damaged eye had spiked with pain I was too weak to endure. Tears flowed through my other eye as the world around me seemed blurry...
Please... If I'm going to die... Let me save Hiccup first...
The last thing I did before blacking out was pray to the gods that Toothless, Hiccup, Bolt and Swift will be safe...
I don't want myself nor them to die... I don't want to be alone again...
Then... Everything turned black as the scream of Toothless and Bolt echoed in my ears...
A/n: My story is near completion... Anyway, how did you like it? Maybe it wasn't to your expectations but I suppose not everyone's perfect. How do you like the ending?
