Young Amelia never quite gave up hope that her raggedy Doctor would still return. He had told her of all the things she would end up doing, and all the adventures she would have. It had been weeks since her encounter, and she already made drawings and puppets. Fortunately, the crack in her wall hadn't bothered her lately.

When she was saying her nightly prayer by her bed, she prayed that she would have an adventure. "Dear Santa, I know it's the middle of summer, and you are quite busy getting ready for Christmas in a few months, but I really really want to go on one of those adventures the raggedy man told me I would have." When she had finished, she heard the familiar whirring sound come from the backyard. She just smiled and went to the window.

She looked out and to her disappointment did not see the blue box or the raggedy Doctor. She just saw a gray tube that had crushed her garden shed… again, so she sighed but decided that she needed to investigate, and to figure out an excuse as to why the shed was completely destroyed.

"It seems, Sarah, by judging from the architecture and the position of Polaris that we should be in the early 2000s." The Guardian was about to step out of the TARDIS when Sarah Elizabeth turned the rotating monitor to face the Time Lord.

"Actually we're in 1996. Get your facts straight, Mr. Red."

"And how do you know that?"

"It says so right here," Sarah pointed to the bottom left hand corner of the screen. "You really should read the instruction manual. I sometimes get the feeling that you have no idea what you're doing."

"I never got the chance to learn back on Galifrey,"

"Right," Sarah started, "the only reason you never got to learn was because you got kicked out of your training class for cheating on a test! How you ever made Timelord I'm still wondering."

"Never mind all of that Sarah. We've got to find out who this 'Amelia Pond' is and what connection he has with the Doctor."

"First off, I think that the 'he' you are referring to is actually a girl. Second, it looks like we have completely demolished her garden shed."

"Oh quit worrying Sarah. She'll never know the difference once we're done"

They stood there for a second, then the Guardian opened the Door to the TARDIS and popped his looked all around. Then, he looked down to see a young red haired girl with a red jacket on over her outdated pajamas.

"Are you the Doctor?" the little girl asked, with a thick Scottish accent.

"No, young boy…" the Guardian started.

"Girl!" Sarah shouted from the console, interrupting the Guardian.

"I'm sorry, Amelia. I meant to say little girl. Anyway I was wondering if you could lead me to the Doctor. You see, I have a little appointment with him."

"I don't know how I could help you. I haven't seen him in a few weeks."

"Believe me, little bo- I mean girl. You can help me much more than you realize. If you'll just step inside this gray tube, we can sure find the Doctor."

Amelia stood there for a second, then shrugged her shoulders and stepped inside. "You probably noticed something odd, didn't you?" the Guardian said, anticipating a reaction.

"Does it have a swimming pool?" Amelia said, rather calmly.

They both looked at each other, then at Amelia. "Uh," the Guardian stuttered, "I don't think so, but you never really know do you. You can get hopelessly lost in those corridors if you don't leave a trail of breadcrumbs."

There was another moment of awkward silence, until finally Amelia spoke up. "You said you could take me to the Doctor."

"Right," the Guardian grabbed Amelia's hands and led her to one of the sides on the console in the center where there were a few rows of a pink slimy substance. "Just put your hands inside of this, and this. If anything bites, let it. The TARDIS is going to take all of the information you have of the Doctor, and lead me, er, us right to him."

After a few minutes of waiting, the TARDIS started shaking and making its usual whirring sound. The Guardian was standing calmly, and looking up at the wall mounted monitor. However, both Sarah and Amelia were holding on to the console for dear life.

After a prolonged period, the shaking and whirring stopped. The Guardian started to read off what the monitor said. "It looks like we've landed on Corolithia, right before the great cyberwar started." The Guardian grabbed Amelia again and led her to the door, and opened it to show her an amazing sight.

It was a lush green forest with vines and moss growing on the sides of the massive round trees. The trees had large, green palm-like leaves on them, creating a canopy that made Amelia fell as though she were in one of those subterranean ecosystems on the discovery channel.

"Right, this is Corolithia before the cyberwar destroyed everything." The Guardian stated as he went over and investigated a nearby tree. "It's a mithtrian tree. I'd know it anywhere. Considered to be the strongest wood around, even stronger than most metals. The cybermen unfortunately cut every single one down to improve their armor, and to make themselves resistant to most sonic devices."

The Guardian then plucked a small leaf off of the tree, and proceeded to lick it, followed by a face of disgust. Amelia also looked at the guardian with disgust. He reminded her so much of the Raggedy Doctor and his… weird ways. "What was that for?" She inquired. The Guardian replied in disgust, "Mithtrian leaves taste good. This tree has been tainted by some chemical."

"Remember why we're here, Red!" Shouted Sarah from inside the TARDIS.

"Right, Sarah, you stay and watch the TARDIS, and I'll see if me and Sarah can find the Doctor. Don't wander off. You hear me?"

"Yeah I hear you. I won't wander off, I get it."

After nodding his head in again to make sure that Sarah wasn't going anywhere, he took Amelia's hand and ran off into the woods looking for the Doctor. "He had better be back in ten minutes," Sarah said, "Or I'll go there myself and give him a good smacking."

The Guardian and Amelia ran through the forest like sprinters in the 100 meter dash, dodging the trees as they went. The Guardian did not ignore the trees however. The trees started to have a blackish tint to the leaves, and the further they went the leaves started getting blacker and blacker, until they reached a clearing

Or so you could call it a clearing. It looked like there haven't been trees there for ages, but the ground was blackened and charred, leaving only a few tufts of grass left. The leaves surrounding the clearing were completely blackened, even having a tint of disgusting purple on the ends.

"What happened to this place?" Amelia asked.

"Well, it looks as though they have started production of the cybermen and are making preparations for war."

"How could you tell?"

"Well, you see, little Amelia, the Doctor and I are both an alien species called Galifreyan, and are both in a position called 'Time Lord'. Now, a Time Lord has basically a built in tracking device that detects any Time Lords in the area. The way I could tell all of that stuff, is that I could sense a Time Lord, the Doctor to be exact, and wherever he is, trouble is always brewing."

Amelia was quite unresponsive. She thought that her raggedy man had been a man, and only a man, if not devilishly handsome. But she nodded and wanted to see what the Guardian would find next.

The Guardian was about to step forward, when he saw a man on the other end of the clearing. The man was fairly well built, had short, wavy brown hair, and from what Amelia could tell he had bright blue eyes. His clothes were odd, although the Guardian was no man to speak. The man across the clearing was wearing Victorian Era clothing.

Little Amelia had no idea who this man was, but the Guardian knew the man's identity, or at least the identity that everyone knows him by. The man across the scorched clearing was the Doctor. The Doctor that the Guardian met those many ages ago.

Quick author's note: Sorry about the cliffhanger, but it's been far too long since I've updated, and I wanted to get another chapter out there. The next one is coming soon, don't worry!
