12. Chapter 12

Hello everyone, I have a little bit to say before we begin our next chapter.

I started writing this story about a year ago as a little project to develop my writing skills as well as try to set goals for myself in a sense. One-shots don't require much commitment, you just post it and move on. I was hoping for the best as I started writing a fic with multiple chapters, I hoped that I would be able to sit down a few times a week, crunch out a few chapters, etc. Writing fanfiction is different from writing stories, right?

Unfortunately, things didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.

I, the scatterbrained person that I am, went in too deep over my head. I simply wasn't ready to do something as big as this. I was overly confident when I wrote this story. I barely even looked over what I had written before posting it, and afterwards, I was swallowed by my anxiety and I worried that people would hate what I had written, would hate me. I was suddenly very thankful that on the internet, I remained anonymous.

So, to summarize, I rushed things and I really should have thought things through more carefully. Combined with a bunch of other stuff going on with my life, and some personal problems, I simply left this project to die.

However,

I am finally at a point in my life where I can be comfortable writing, and after re-watching the series, I plan on continuing this fic.

Keep in mind though, it may be a little while before I can publish the next chapter, and I'm not saying that my writing will be a whole lot better, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I am definitely NOT discontinuing this story, nor am I putting it on hiatus.

Because I KNOW how much it SUCKS to see an update to a story so long after the last chapter that just says that the author is discontinuing it. I won't do that to you guys.

And, once again for those of you that just skip down to the bottom of the author's note without reading it:

I AM NOT DISCONTINUING THIS STORY, NOR AM I GOING ON HIATUS. I'LL BE BACK IN A MONTH OR TWO WITH A NEW CHAPTER.

Thank you guys so much for being patient, and I know an update like this sucks, but I needed to tell you guys this.
