Meanwhile in Gondor

Aragorn's POV

The City of King's came under fire quickly, my guard barely had enough time to protect the innocent families from the attack. The demonic being though, seemed to be lax it's desire to destroy the city, flying around slowly; seldom breathing fire into the roads.

"Aragorn!" I could faintly hear Gandalf's voice through the destruction, I snapped out of the shock of seeing a dragon and looked for my friend in the chaos.

"Gandalf!" I shouted trying to find the wizard.

"Aragorn.", I felt a shock on my shoulder, turning around my eyes found him with his hand on my shoulder. "Aragorn I cannot find the five children, they've disappeared in the chaos!"

My heart filled with dread, is it possible that the dragon came here for them? I thought to myself, but that moment was cut short. I could hear a screeching sound, coming from the sky, My eyes shifted and what I saw was a ball of dragon fire sailing towards Gandalf and I. The heat that was emanating for the inferno had already hit me before the fire did. I could not help but brace myself, is this going to be my final hour? The flames grew close and the air started to grow thin, forcing me to close my eyes and look away.

"GET DOWN!"

I felt the earth moving like an earthquake and the heard the sound of an explosion. Then an eerie silence, Has my soul been claimed by the afterlife, am I about to receive the Gift of Men?

"Aragorn, to be a true king, you've got to be able to fight a dragon or two." My eye's opened and I could see the outline of Nico, covered in ash and shadows he stood before me, A wall of scorched rocks stood erect behind him. He stretched out his hand to mine, I grabbed it and he pulled me off the ground.

"You see, you're not the only king here." He took a step back and melted into the shadow of the wall and disappearing. "I am the ghost king."

I was shocked, once again, by these children. I lifted narsil and ran past the wall, I found the girl that the guard had brought here screaming, running on the rooftops bow in hand. She almost reminds me of Legolas. she jumped onto a solid rooftop and knocked an arrow, aiming it at the dragon.

"Arrows will not pierce it's hide, Run!" I shouted trying to save this girl's life.

I could feel hair on my arms standing on end, I could hear the boom of thunder and right before my eye's this girl was struck with a bolt of lightning. her arrow was loose and the lightning followed, no… merged with the arrow and a bolt of heavenly power pierced the dragon, knocking the beast right from the sky. It fell right to the center of the square. where the fountain was. The dragon was hit with a geyser of water, when the water subsided and the dragon slammed into the ground in a tremendous crash. I could see Percy with a sword stabbing and slicing through the dragons hide. The beast tried to take off and fly away but the earth shifted and pillars of stone shot from the ground, trapping the beast. Percy who fell off the back of the beast after being hit by a pillar was standing at the mouth of the dragon. it unleashed a jet of fire at point blank range into him. the fire dissipated and when the smoke cleared I could see him, untouched by the flames. Holding his sword he climbed the head of the dragon once again and plunged his blade through the head of the dragon. where the beast laid still and melted into the earth, being devoured by shadows, that almost resembled warriors, clawing at the beast from the earth.

Percy the boy who… no Percy the dragon slayer, walked out of the shadows and collapsed on the ground, I ran to him grabbing him, Putting my fingers to his neck. I could still feel his heartbeat. He didn't die, there wasn't a scratch on him either.

"Percy's fine just lazy." The voice of the girl who was struck by lighting spoke, I turned to her. She was standing, also without a scratch. "Now I've got to ask, Have you seen Annabeth?"

Meanwhile in Mirkwood

Annabeth's POV

I screamed loud as Grover shoved me down on the floor to avoid being hit by arrows. I was too afraid to move from my position on the floor staring at the eight legs of a giant spider. There was a tapping sound coming from all directions from the walls. I didn't even have to look up to know exactly what it was. The hissing sound that it made as arrows impaled the monster and the harry legs gave out and it fell to the ground. I could hear Grover shouting but I didn't register what was being said due to my screams.

Grover pulled me back away from a spider that collapsed to the ground with an arrow embedded into its head. Grover's grip loosened on me and I think he attempted to join the fight. I noticed now that I was placed in the corner of the room while more elves began to pour in from the doors. My screaming subsided but I was trembling as more spiders were killed but the awful tapping sound reminded. I could hear bits of hasty conversation from my corner.

"I thought spiders didn't come this close!"

"—don't know why they risked coming within Mirkwood!"

"I'm at 3!"

"5, 6, 7!"The numbers through me off for a moment and I risked a glance up to see a short man, I believe he was called a dwarf, hacking at spider legs and then finishing them off. While the other man counting was a blonde elf, was it the prince Legolas? I didn't think about it for long as I got jumped from above. A fresh scream erupted from my mouth as the spider stared at me with hate and huge desire to kill me, to hurt me, to do it's worst. It ducked its head down and tried to bite at me while it's chelicerae tried to get me as well. I heard Grover scream my name and I pulled my dagger out and started to stab at the thing wildly. It cried out in pain before it collapsed on me. Luckily I felt it being lifted off of me as quickly as it fell.

I don't know how long I was screaming for but eventually my voice was cracked and I got to the point where not sound came out at all. By that point I was hyperventilating and rubbing my arms to make the goose bumps go away. Grover was next to me as the elves carried dead spiders out or tossed them out the window.

"It's okay Annabeth they're gone. The spiders are dead." Grover tried to comfort me as my vision became blurred.

"The lass has quite the lungs." I heard a gruff voice and looked at the dwarf.

"Don't be rude Gimli, the woman looks horrified." Legolas said; he looked somewhat sympathetic to my current situation. But I didn't think about it for long. I felt hot tears roll down my cheeks and at the moment I wanted one thing: Percy. Gods, I hoped he was alright.

"I killed 8." Gimli said in a gruff voice.

"I killed 9." Legolas answered and Gimli muttered something about me taking his last spider before he got the chance. Despite my horror and my sore throat I managed to let out a cracked laugh. That quickly left though as I saw one of the elves pick up my shield. I made a squawking sound and Grover hurried over to get the shield. When he grabbed it he must have been thinking of Percy because the white city came into view. The elf jumped back away from the shield arrow knotched and I heard him say something in their language. I paid no attention to it because I was staring at the shield in horror.

"δράκων..." (Dragon) I murmered in shock.

"It's a dragon." Gimli said. His eyebrows knit together in confusion seeing the shield. Legolas seemed to recover from the shock first and he stared at Grover and I.

"What sort of looking glass did you two require and why are you watching Gondor?" His voice was on edge and we were resurrounded by the elves. Even Gimli joined in the circle. They all stared at us with shock, concern, suspicion, and a few other looks I didn't quite regester.
